Moon 0| prologue

“Tell me a story mama!” a small voice yowls at a queen “alright alright little one how about I tell you how Dreamclan came to be?” the queen asks voices cheer from around her.

“Well we should honestly begin during the rule of Ruinstar, Ruinstar…was an ambitious cat who believed he alone could rule the clans….he managed to start a war with all our neighbouring clans but it was most major with smokeclan and stagcoan after all they were both led by strong leaders. Firclan pitied us dreamclan cats-back then we where known as Flameclan. And mouseclan helped the one who payed more.”

The she cat took a breath of fresh air “one day Ruinstar called for retreat into the caves and starclan to punish the clan Caused boulders to fall crushing two cats a nice she cat named Skyjump…and Ruinstar himself,”

The she cat looked down at the kits solemly “only one went to starclan and she saw a empty wasteland…atleast for the flameclan cats all other clans where their yet their ancestors abandoned them. Skyjump begged and begged the stars to allow her to watch over her clan she knew she was troublesome but she truely loved her clan seeing this and the unshakeable faith Skyjump had in the stars they named her the celestial guide of Flameclan-soon to be known as dreamclan she also represented faith in hope as she always believed and had faith in her clan mates even ruinstar”.

The queen sighed again “Skyjump could not convince starclan to let her clanmates free not yet but the stars promised to one day set them free but needed to teach them a lesson.”

The queen looked back at the sad kittens “Back in the living world the loving Ravenfur was named leader as both the leader and deputy died they explored they cave finding an abandoned kitten when Ravenfur slept that night hoping to reach the stars her mother- and when she did she was heartbroken. Skyjump explained everything yet ravenfur did not wallow in pity as she was given her nine lives When she awoken, she renamed the clan dreamclan hoping one day the stars would let her clan free.”

“A lot of history was lost that Moon so they decided to start anew” the queen finished

“Aww I want to know what happens next!” groaned one kit

“Well I'm not done with my story yet so I shall tell you more” the queen replied

“But how do you know so much of our history?” asked another kit a giggle came from the cats mouth as she looked down at the kits “I'm a historien its apart of my job”

Moon 12

Blackclash only looked away for a second to talk to ravenstar but he heard the panicked screams of snakes he quickly turned around seeing one go for freezestreak he hissed loudly pouncing on the snake killing it in a single bite.

Freezestreak had tears in his eyes as he quickly looked over the bite before sighing in relief. He immeadiatly gave Blackclash a small bonk on the head “you idiot…” He softly scolded his mate as he brought him within his cave Breezeclash simply smirked at his mate “you know you would of done the same love” Freezestreak chuckled Verbinkit ran in and spoke about Her friend made of stars…freezestreak smiled softly “that's great sweetie…”

Moon 11

Freezestreak smiled as verbenkit snuggled up to him smiling at his daughter before turning to Bluevalley “your tail has fully healed I suggest you go ask on of our caretakers to help you find some stray moss for your nest and ill see if I can get one of the other medicine cats to bring some comfy bedding”.

Bluevalley smiled before leaving “thanks Freezestreak!…i really appreciate it”.

Just then Freezestream noticed Ravenstar approaching and Verinkit clinging onto him more “can I help you Ravenstar?” he asked curiously Ravenstar nodded sadly “yes another rouge fell into our cave and they attacked whistlehail I'm afraid you have another patient.” Ravenstar looked over at the little one “oh don't be afraid verbenkit do you know what a mouse’s favourite game is?” the kit shook their head “hide and squeak!” Ravenstar finished chuckling to herself and smiling when the kit joined her “how has the nursery been treating you?” she asked the kit who looked down saddened. “Lonely..” the leader smiled “don't worry I'm sure any warrior would be willing to play with you”

Verbinkit has gained the skill lover of stories!

Moon 10

Freezestreak groaned as he went out to the light hearing the whimpering of a kit slightly worried he wondered towards the area finding a small brown shekit. He looked around and saw the kit was in the basket he used for herbs and growled picking up the kit when he arrived to camp everyone was shocked.

“Freezestreak who is this?” asks Ravenstar shocked at the kit Freezestreak put the small kit down “a kit found her abandonded at the only light source around here poor thing…so I brought em here”

Wetheart spoke up next “who's going to take care of her Freezestreak we should just-”

“Ill take care of her” Freezestreak cut the deputy off “with my mate if he wants to of course-”

Blackclash eyes lit up with joy “we get to be parents?” Freezestreak seeing the joy in his mates eyes lit up himself “yea Blackclash we have a daughter”

Blackclash hummed to himself “ill stay in the nursery with her by the way how is rapidfleck” Blackclash asked curiously and Freezestreak smiled “his head damage is fully healed he's still a bit frazzled but he can go through the caverns now” as the two mates snuggled up they thought of what to name the small kit “verbenkit…your name is verbenkit” Blackclash spoke eyes lighter since the day midnightmlberrypaw died.

Moon 9

Freezestreak cried angrily at the stars when he saw the ruined state his herbs were in like a strange blow of wind “how could you do this to us we’re trying to follow your noble code and you take away my few precious herbs?” Freezestreak took a sad deep breath “please…..how can we appease you? How can we ensure this doesn't happen again?”

Freezestreak continued keeping a stern fave while checking over the injured cats of his den hearing Blackclash walk towards him. “Its okay Freezestreak we’ll survive”

Within the stars they talked worried for the clan “Skyjump! Ravenstar refused the offer of allowing one cat to be freed to rebuild what shall we do!” asked the panicked Mulberrypaw covered in stars Skyjump simply chuckled at the apprentice “back to plan A then I told our ancestors this wouldn't work and it was cruel to punish a whole clan for the actions of its leader but they didn't listen we simply have to keep trying to convince the other starclan cats to allow us to free our clan Mulberrypaw”.

Moon 8

A scream was heard throughout the cave aswell as barking Twigpatch not wanting his clan to be hurt went to see what it was with Wetheart and Whistlehail. Twigpatch’s eyes widen when he sees who it is…. “Bluevalley…?” sitting there in the cave entrance was a young injured Firclan warrior “whistlehail help me bring her to camp mind her tail its injured” he told the young warrior helping the Firclan cat to camp.

When they arrived Freezestreak immediately ran over “what happened?!” he quietly asked the barely awake she cat who whispered “dog….ran…fell” whimpering in pain Freezestreak sighed “take her to my den Twigpatch ill tend to her that best I can”

When they arrived Bluevalley looked towards Twigpatch “when will I go home…” she asked the older tom who sighed sadly “I'm sorry bluevalley” he pushed his head into the she cats ginger fur tears in his eyes “your trapped just like the rest of us…”

Moon 7

Freezestreak sighed as they checked over Rapidflecks head injury they way the cat acted clued Freezestreak in on the headache but that wasn't why he was worried.

The tom barely ever woke up only for small periods of time to eat- barely and drink.

As Freezestreak looked over his herb supply he had to remember to thank the other medicine cats for their help…even thoughit was Greenleaf. Though he had nothing to help with the headache at least he may have enough to deal with the injury especially since he found that spider nest earlier at sunhigh.

He hummed when cinderstripe came into his den. “Yes cinderstripe?” he asked curiously at the cats entrance noticing the cat had a bird in their mouth- a sparrow a cave sparrow to be specific. “Blackclash is busy checking the cave for any cats that have fallen down but asked me to make sure you eat” Cinderstripe replied looking away. Freezestreak hummed at the action “thank you for the prey then come and eat with me there's plenty of meat on the sparrow for both of us”

Moon 6

Freezestreak was surprised when blackclash asked him to go on a walk he nodded slightly curious as he walked side by side with the warrior in the caves eventually when they arrived to a small stream he looked towards the copper eyes of the tom when Blackclash started speaking. “Freezestreak you have always been a great friend and…I want to be something more will you be my mate?” He asked blushing slightly.

Freezestreak stopped for a moment before answering “yes I beleive we can…give it a shot blackclash I will be your mate” freezestreak meowed to the warrior who purred in delieght.

Moon 5

Cinderstripe heard a crash from the hole in the ceiling and went towards it nervous for what is to come after what happened to Mulberrypaw you can never be to careful.

But what she saw wasn’t a dangerous Rouge it was an injured cat trapped like the rest of them she sighed…the clan needed more cats right? So she went towards the injured Tom and gave a kind smile “don’t worry my clan shall help you.” As she helped the loner move to the camp she went straight to freezestreak despite the judgemental stares “freezestreak I found this injured loner in the tunnels can you help him?” Freezestreak sighed at the request “of course” and went to work Cinderstripe left the medicine den only for mistfrost to look at her in a panicked state

“Cinderstripe we can’t allow a random cat to stay with us what if he’s dangerous!” Cinderstripe rolled her eyes “we need more cats in the clan Mistfrost otherwise we’re going to die out so unless you want Dreamclan to die before we’re able to leave I suggest being more accepting!” The she cat argues back before giving a deeper glare to the Tom “not all outsiders are bad we can’t allow one unfortunate event to ruin our opinion of them”. Cinderstripe pushes past a shocked Mistfrost

Freezestreak woke up in sweat…he contacted starclan Mulberrypaw Skyjump was next to him joking around but stopped when they noticed him Mulberrypaw walked up to him eyes showing wisdom beyond their age “tell Blackclash…its not his fault….it could of happened to anyone….im sorry the stars are so empty” Mulberrypaw told the cleric who nodded shell-shocked and he woke up.

Blackclash glared at the small stream in their camp why did Mulberrypaw die…? Why did he think it'd be a good idea for him to go on his own?!….for starclans sake Mulberrypaw just graduated! Freezestreak approached and curles their tail around theor friend comfortingly “its….not you're fault Blackclash you had no reason to believe a rouge would attack them for starclan sake we’re trapped in a cave!” Blackclash felt tears fall from his eyes and looked at Freezestreak “they were only six moons old!….i should of been there.”

Moon 3 part 2

When Blackclash told Mulberrypaw to try to find him in the shadows the apprentice was terrified he didn't have any training as he was jumping at the shadows he hears a thump behind him bear the light of the cave he ran towards it screaming for Blackclash…..a slash of a claw and Mulberrypaw was bleeding g out from his neck a rouge who fell down above him he already died when Blackclash came running up behind him Jumping on the rouge and slashing it stomach “HOW DARE YOU” he hissed loudly seeing the body go limp he turned and brought the limp body of Mulberrypaw to camp

“He’s dead…im so sorry Blackclash. Conversations were starting on what to do with the body of their

Clanmate and the rouge and frozenstreak spoke up “since Mulberrypaw is small for his age I think we can bring him up to the surface especially since he can't really fight back…he was willing to stay down here with us even though he could of been free” the deputy nodded “what should we do with the rogues body?” he asked the group Twigpatch looked up “Put they body in the fresh kill pile we’ll treat it like any fresh kill….don’t look at me like that Flamehowls invention isn't strong enough yet its a temporary solution”

Mooon 3 part 1

Mulberrykit was practically Bouncing off the walls when Whistlepaw approached him. “Are you excited for the big day?” He asked though he seemed slightly distant Mulberry looked up excitedly and nodded “yeah! Are you excited?” Mulberrykit curiously asked the apprentice in front of him who shrugged “I mean I'm excited but I might not become a warrior this moon” Whistlepaw told Mulberrykit who just scoffed “Ravenstar would be stupid not to make you a warrior now!” Whistlepaw laughed “yeah you're probably right-your not upset that Wetheart is doing your ceremony instead are you?” Whistlepaw asked Making sure the kit was alright but Mulberrykit just looked at the apprentice confused”why would I be upset?” Whistlepaw sighs “nevermind lets go”

Mulberrykit sat infront of the crowd excited for the ceremony excited for his ceremony

“Mulberrykit step forward have you decided your path?” Wetheart asked Mulberrykit who looked straight into his eyes “Id like to be a historian please….” Mulberrykit eyes somehow lit up even more when Wetheart nodded.

you have reached the age of six Moons and it is time for you to be apprenticed from this day forth until you earn your historian name you shall be known as Mulberrypaw your mentor shall be Blackclash I Hope Blackclash will pass down all he knows to you” he turns towards Blackclash.

“Blackclash you are ready to take on an apprentice you have received excellent training from Riverpoppy and you have shown yourself to be wise. You shall be the mentor of Mulberrypaw and I expect you to pass down all you know to him”

The apprentice and historian touch noses and join the crowd noticing the clan meeting is not done.

“Though this not all we are celebrating Whistlepaw step forward” Whistlepaw shocked stepped forward “I the deputy of dreamclan call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice they have trained hard to understand your noble code and give them to you as a warrior in Their turn.” Wetheart looks down at the shocked face of Whistlepaw.

“Whistlepaw do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?”. Wetheart asked the Codekeeper apprentice who looked up at him determination in his eyes. “I do” Whistlepaw beamed at the proud smile on the deputys face.

“Then by the powers of starclan I give you you're warrior name Whistlepaw from this day forth you shall be known as Whistlehail starclan honours you're intelligence”

The clan cheers for the apprentice and warrior and Whistlehail watches the unreachable exit all night where nothing. Happened Cinderstripe walked up to him the next day, “I got the perfect spot for you're nest come on!” Whistlehail chuckled as Cinderstripe helped set up his nest and then glared at her after giving a Startled shout “really a thorn in my next?” They both laugh.

Freezestreak walked out of the camp as soon as Cinderstripe got her warrior name he just needed to get as much space though he is proud of her maybe he could check the hole in the roof see if any cat could help them get out?.

They’d probably leave them to rot actually….

The stars seemed to align in his favour for Deerpatch the new medicine cat of Firclan was there “do you have anyway we could get out?” asked Freezestreak shouting up at the she cat “no…. But I can ask flamehowl for help to get you herbs!” purred the she at running off Freezestreak signed to them self realising he will be missing a lot of the monthly cleric meetings…oh well he is sure that the stars will still reach him after all they can still see them

Wetheart winced as he saw mulberrykit run off away from Twigpatch tears In his eyes, he knew he had to look for mulberrymit and he found him rather quickly hiddden behind one of the many grey rocks “hello Mulberrykit are you okay?” he asked mulberrykit had tears coming out from his eyes as he shook his head. “Do you want to talk about it?” he asked hoping silently the kit would say yes Mulberrykit hesitated before nodding his head. “T-twigpatch called me a curse and a reminder of the punishment of the stars he said I should not become a apprentice because I'll just doom the clan for not being a real Clan cat- a am I not a real clan cat because my mama and papa didn't belong to one?” he whispered sadly to the deputy who looked sadly at the kit “of course you belong Mulberrykit and I know you'll be an amazing apprentice then warrior I just know it..”. More tears left Mulberrykits eyes “but…what If no one will ever accept me as a warrior what if they say I don't belong?” Mulberrykit meowed sadly Wetheart chuckled “I know what you mean it took awhile for cats to accept that I was a boy” Wetheart grimiced to those times a shiver coming up his back Mulberrykit looked confused “but you were always a boy?”. he asked confusadly “I know but a lot of cats were confused and thought I was a girl…in just saying there will always be someone who decides you're not good enough you just have to prove them wrong okay?” he meowed at the kit who looked up at him and nodded “that's the sport now go play!” Wetheart chuckled as Mulberrykit ran off

Good news Flamehowl made an invention that will help you get medical supplies Freezestreak looked up confused as a small basket was lowered which was filled witndandilion sap and wild garlic his eyes lit up in amazement “thank you Deerpatch! I was so scared….in didn't know what to do without herbs” Deerpatch smiled down at the medicine cat and gave a mrrp in agreement before bring the basket back up with the vine rope attachment Freezestreaks eyes lit up maybe they will be able to survive.
