Greetings. My name is Dream Eradication, Eradic for short. I hunt and eat certain types of 'gods'. When I am not hunting, I spend nearly all of my time managing my territory full of helpless, ungrateful livestock- both magical and not.
I have no interest in hunting mortals lest you make light of my laws, so lower your head or lose it.
Should you hold significant magic or power of some kind... make it an interesting hunt for me, won't you?

INFO
Dream Eradication (he/him), the cold-hearted Emperor of Desis, the Devourer of "Dreams"... or so his original title says. Actually hunts down beings of negative energy, consuming them for nourishment and unintentionally (yet knowingly) maintaining the balance of power in the multiverse.
His territory is technically set within Ye Olden ages, with the twist that they have advanced magical technology- creating a blend between medieval and sci-fi.
He currently has access to the multiverse's internet and is both amused and disappointed in what he has seen.
More information can be found here.
BOUNDARIES
NO MINORS PLEASE! Due to the nature of the character and the content associated with him, I would be much comfortable interacting using this muse with adult roleplayers only.
Fluff, Shitposting, and Angst are all okay!
Shipping is open, but please ask me first! I am open to multiple ships happening at once. However, none will be canon. I would like to discuss the relationship in DMs first, to get a feel for things.
Dark topics (abuse, assault, etc) are okay so long as a warning is attatched to the post!
Underdevour takes inspiration from Dreamtale. However, I do not condone the actions & behaviors of Joku.

The name caused their body to relax marginally; the one version of Dream that they had met before was kind to them, after all. He took his cross-shaped eyes away from Eradic for the first time in order to glance around for a second, and then he went back to staring at him. "Nice... nice to meet you, mister. I'm Rigel." Despite their curiosity, they held their tongue to keep from asking more about 'this place'. Getting back home was most important.
The little demigod's voice wavered a bit as they spoke again in an immediate reaction to Eradic's statement. "Really? You'll help me?"
"Rigel." Eradic echoes the name, humming as he notes down the lowering shoulders and the scent of alarm slowly ebbing. So he knew of Dream... or a Dream, at least. Good. Panic is a pain to deal with.
"Yes." He confirms, "I am not interested in introducing an outlander into my territory as a resident, and I take it that you are just as uninterested in staying permanently." He gestures dismissively. "Do you have any knowledge or skill in magic manipulation, or has no one taught you anything?" The devourer bluntly asks.
Their own cloudy tendrils curled slowly around themself, the movement an unconscious reflection of their unease. Something about the regal figure before them made them want to run away. Their magic, uncontrolled and driven only by their fear, cracked as it attempted to pull them from this universe.
Nothing happened. It was like Rigel didn't even notice it.
He blinked at him in surprise when given the answer, although he knew instinctively this couldn't be his world. The surroundings, the very atmosphere and people and emotions he sensed—everything felt different. "No," they responded quietly. "I don't know how I got here... or who you are."
While Rigel did not notice, Eradic did. He held his tounge back from hissing a warning. No use of doing that when the individual in question seemed to not have proper control over himself.
"My name is..." what would not scare the little snack away? "...Dream. I am the emperor of this place." He hummed, calming his tendrils and pulling them into his body. "Judging by the condition of your magic, it could have been a rather powerful surge. You seem to have... a decent amount of magic around you." Eradic clicked his tounge, holding back from biting at the energy surrounding the little thing.
"You have, however, left a trail of magic back to your initial position. I could send you back with a bit of work."
He smelled like a snack. A bite-sized snack. Eating the outlander would give him a bit of a boost in energy, and it didn't seem to be a difficult task considering he has yet to smell aggression.
...But he's so small.
...
Perhaps he shouldn't act so hasty.
"Not your world." He answers, cold but not cruel. "I assume you have no knowledge on how to return yourself?" His tendrils curl, curious and... he's not acknowledging the other emotion.

\\ i think it would be neat to have rigel and eradic meet :] helloo i know we haven't interacted before yet, so you can ignore this if you like!
His guards had notified him of yet another outlander. Under normal circumstances, he'd let his captain handle it... but the scent they've brought back was... of interest. Smelled of prey, and yet... not entirely.
So here the emperor was, dark tendrils slithering behind him like a cape as he approaches the stranger with a flicking forked tounge and arms behind his back. Observing out in the open, with no fear of retaliation.
"I can smell you from an ocean away with how much magic you're radiating, outlander."
...A 'hello' would've sufficed, Era.
ooc// hello hello hello!! always fun to see a new face around here >:3c I hoped I interpreted this correctly as Rigel being the one to lose control. Don't be pressured to write too much for your reply btw (i saw that you write casual-style so yee), my starters are just a bit longer sometimes.
Let me know if you'd like a different starter or any edits! Idm at all! Also if this is continued, a small note that I tend to move things to a new post so I can trim it :> so expect a mention! If you don't want me to do this or prefer smth different though, lmk
Dream simply listens, each question is answered, and his nerves naturally soothe out. Everything he says makes sense, and there isn't anything that instantly sparks questions. Though, once he gets to the big question of his brother, the positive guardian can't help but chuckle. It's not mockery- far from it. "Disruptive" is just the nicest term one could use to describe Nightmare.
"No, I think I can take your word for it."
Similar to how Dream gave no reason to Eradic to distrust him. Eradic gave Dream no reason to distrust him as well. Plus, he was correct. While Dream did sense negativity, it wasn't anything on his brother's level, and this realm certainly is protected.
He almost cracks a joke but stops himself, if only because he assumes it wouldn't be appreciated.
"My offer to aid any assistance for well- anything really still stands." He likes being useful, and there was the strange feeling he got, but he of all people is fully willing to swallow his pride then concede it was just a strange feeling he got and nothing more.
Far be it from him to act like he knew what "normal" is for this world. Underdevour? That was the name? Why was it - devour? And he was convinced he was a guardian? Curiosity overrides everything else. Does he have the full picture? No, but he was far more clued than he was.
"I would like to see more of your realm if you'll let me." It's nothing more than innocent curiosity and the same- honestly hopeful desire to explore. Every world he visited, even the more openly hostile ones, always had something wonderful to find.
His prey is happily bouncing on into his den, and he's letting it happen. So close within reach and yet his appetite is spoiled... he didn't take himself to be so picky. It's almost embarassing.
"See more of my realm?" He cocks his head to the side. Despite the squinting, a part of him proudly preens at the statement— 'Yes, look at my beautiful territory! See how I have cared so well for it?' But another part, equally as loud, seethed at the idea— 'No! Stay out of my domain! It is mine! I will not have you have your chance to lay your claim on it!'
Both thoughts were equally as annoying.
"Do as you wish. So long as you do not disturb the creatures here I will not intervene." He pauses, "I will, however, advise you to stay away from the forest there. Some of the mud is carnivorous and you look like a walking buffet. As much as I'd love to spend the rest of my day prying you out of it, I unfortunately have better things to do." That, and if Dream harmed any single one of his beloved creatures he would find a way to skin the skeletal being.
He pauses for a moment.
"Unless you are asking me to play tour guide?" He tilts his head. "We are planning to return to town. If you are not a fan of nature, then there is the option of... people." He grumbled the last part.
It felt like Bedeku could only allow themself to stop being all tense once they were in the more private setting. They would meet the fox's eyes a moment, showing a polite smile.
Returning their attention to Eradic, they extended their hand to accept the keys. “Noted.”
They looked between the two monsters, lightly clenching the keys in their hand in a sign of lingering nerves. “I don't know how long I'll have to stick around... but I'll try not to overstay my welcome.” They gave Eradic a small nod. “Thanks again.”
"I couldn't tell you exactly what's amiss- it's like a hidden instinct. The air felt it was not as it should be." What did Ink call it? Literal vibe check? Just random gut feelings that things were off and he needed to do something? His magic had always been sensitive like that.
A offers a polite smile, really just relieved the two of them have gotten onto common ground. Dream always aimed to get along with anyone he could. "Well, what is this place for starters? I've never seen this place before. I've explored worlds quite a plenty just none like this."
The answer for that was likely that he hadn't crossed this part of the multiverse....the double-edged sword of it being so....vast.
His expression shifts to more just general curiosity, "And if I may....I would like to know more about you. You seem to know who I am and forgive my ignorance, but I really can't say the same."
Does he feel... guilty for not knowing more? In a way, it seems Dream has accepted this clearly, someone important and should know more about it.
"And....I ask only to be cautious....you haven't seen my brother come through here, have you?" There was negative energy present but nothing to indicate Nightmares involvement, but his brother could be tricky
"Hn." The devourer gave the other a few subtle whiffs, but smelt no reason to distrust his words. He left it off with a nod and not much more.
He answers each question in order, far more patient than he was a few moments ago.
"This... universe? Is what some outlanders call, 'Underdevour'." He air quotes, "We are currently just beyond the borders of Rumahular Forest— though that likely means nothing to you so I will stop there." No point in naming the continent or where exactly they were on the planet. What use was it to someone so clealry unfamiliar with the realm in it's entirety?
Smelling guilt, Eradic sighs. "It is to be expected. I avoid leaving my realm unless necessary. The more people know my name, the more dangers I have to consider. It's a headache I wish to avoid." He tells Dream, in a way, reassuring the other that it was not his fault for not knowing. The guilt was a delectable smell, but he'd rather not end up hangry and nipping at the currently ignorant guardian out of impulse.
"I have told you my name and title. I am not much more than that; overseer of this land." He hums, knowing better than to tell the other of his kind. Best case scenario, he's seen as an overly egotistical king with a God complex. Worst case? Another fight he has to clean up.
"I suppose I was once convinced I was a Guardian of some kind. Not of anything that concerns the balance of the world, like you." The devourer gestures towards the guardian. "Just my birthplace. It is, after all, one of the few things that stayed... consistent." The land never betrayed him. He's only here because the land existed and sheltered him. His home, his territory- his, his, his. Building an empire was just an easier way to ensure he held claim and control over it.
At the concern of a certain blob of (delicious) tendrils, Eradic scoffs and shakes his head. "If your brother were to even brush up against my realm, I would know. You guardians are very difficult to ignore. Disruptive, even." And the universe is far too cruel to deliver a full-course meal to his doorstep, so there was also that. "If he were here for even a moment, I would have greeted you with a stack of complaints."
He rarely ever held conversations with those he sees as prey, so he found it difficult to understand the rift between the guardians. Especially since his own brother...
A pang of sadness shot through Eradic, but he quickly represses the thought. He turns towards Dream, eyes sharp as always, "Does that assure you? Or would you like to check? Hn?" He'll humor the other so long as Dream remained easy to work with.
Very bitter, almost medicinal. It makes everything else taste mildly sweet in comparison.
The facinating aspect of this particular apple is that it is rather dry on the inside with little to no juice. It also sounds like stone, though is not as sturdy as one.
There was a moment in which their only reply was an inquiring hum. They looked to the side in thought. “Magic really isn't the norm where I'm from. Among humans, anyway. So I'd rather not draw any unwanted attention to myself.”
On that note, they were more than willing to keep their head down as to avoid staring at any of the townsfolk. “... Mhm.” They would simply follow beside Eradic, allowing him to guide them.
"It would make sense if your world is one dominated by humans. There tends to be less magical individuals within humankind compared to monsterkind." He hummed back.
Upon reaching the town, Eradic fell silent and walked with his head held up. He seemed to be glaring at anyone daring to block his path or come close.
He only spoke once more when they reached a cozy-looking building, with a white fox monster settled behind a receptionist's desk.
"We're at the inn." He tells them, walking up to the desk and looking down at the fox monster, who smiled warmly up at him. They said nothing, dropping a set of keys and waving towards Bedeku before leaning back and watching the front door. Eradic walks back over to the human and gestures for them to hold their hand out so he could drop the keys in.
"Your room is on the third floor. Stairs are that way. Just find the matching symbol on the key and slot it into the hole." He tells them. "If you're hungry, come down here and talk to the receptionist there," he points at the white fox, "their name is Sage, and they're my... acquaintance."
