First Date || KJ and Callie
"Sweet, innocent Callie has a baseball bat?" KJ snickered, smiling at her. He chuckled when she stuttered, finding it very cute. He hoped he looked as good as she did. He had just thrown on a pair of jeans, a Superman tee shirt, and a black hoodie. He reached out to her, taking her hand. "Anyway, we’re going bowling."
He led her toward the elevator, grinning. He couldn’t even describe how excited he was for this. As nervous as he was, he felt happy when he was with this girl. She was one person that he actually trusted not to hurt him and he just wanted to make her his official girlfriend tonight.
"Hey, you wanna see a pic of Sky?" He asked, taking out his phone. He grinned as he showed her the pic of his baby girl cuddling their dog, Fox. So far, the puppy had been a wonderful addition to their little family, and Sky just adored him. Maybe Callie would come over sometime and they could play with him.
"He’s pretty much the cutest thing ever, next to Sky." He laughed as they left the elevator, walking out to his car.
Callie folded her arms, smirking up at him. ''Yes, she does. You scared?'' And with that, she had hit his stomach lightly and then laughed, trying to avoid direct eye-contact but couldn't help herself anyway.
As KJ got out his phone, she ''awed'' when she saw the picture. She had a soft spot for that little girl, who was always making her day, always making her smile in the darkest of times. In some ways, Skylar had felt like her own. She knew Alyssa, Sky's mother, had left after the little girl was born because she wasn't ready for kids. So Callie tried her best to look after Sky, be a mother figure for her.
''You mean next to me.'' She joked, winking. Handing him his phone, she laughed and shook her head, running up to KJ's car. Though she felt nervous, she also felt very excited.
