Happy to announce that I'm moving to a new blog so it'll be easier for me to keep up with it. This blog turned into dreamhimcloser2.tumblr.com so the scenarios won't disappear, and you could find my new blog at the old address.
i just discovered your blog and i have got to say your writing is amazing!!
Wow I don’t know how long ago this ask was sent, I just came to check on this blog since I came crawling back into kpop not long time ago and thought about doing scenarios again.
Thank you for your kind words! I can assure you that if I’ll return to this blog, you’ll see my writing improved a lot♥

Every person has those moments in life that they take in so deep it becomes a part of their souls, moments that center them with the rest of the universe to bring them to the very spot where they belong, making them whole like nothing else can. For some people it's seeing their baby succeeding, for others is eating the perfect slice of their favorite cake, for some it's less pleasant substances that takes their minds off of the bad place they reached in their life.
For you, without any doubt, it's this moment.
You never felt like your existence was as whole as it was lying in bed on a Sunday morning in those familiar arms belonging to the man you love. The body that pressed to yours so close was graved into your head like a map that your fingertips explored too many times to keep count, the darkness of your closed eyelids knew every curve, bone and muscles that made that body so perfect to you.
The best thing about this was the huff. The tempo that accompanied your sleep deprived breaths and made hot air brush against your skin just in time to make your heart flutter just the tiniest bit before it returned into the line of the beat you two shared.
You angled your head towards where you knew his face would be, pulling him closer by the waist as the hot puffs of air fanned across your face. A small push of your leg against the mattress brought you even closer, arms tightening around you with the fear that you might grow apart from him, that fear fading when you brushed your nose against his, resting your head on his pillow instead of yours to be extra close.
He sighed out and your heart actually flipped in your chest as a chuckle followed. "Good morning."
There it was, another thing that left you feeling like an insane person that belonged in an institute when you felt a wave of the love you had for him – his voice that was usually so honey smooth, was rough and manly with the first words of the morning slipped past full lips. His voice was just perfect.
You hummed in response, too absorbed in the moment to come up with actual words that will make any sort of sense. He moved to snuggle closer, his lips pressing into the corners of yours, the gesture being more a lazy press of skin then an actual kiss.
"Jinki, stop moving," You complained, pushing farther in attempt to get back into the line of his breathing.
"You stop." A warm hand came to push your shoulder down into the mattress, almost his entire body weight came down on yours as he laid his head on your shoulder, face fitting against the shape of your neck and it actually got better with his nose resting so close to your skin, the huffs slipped across your collarbones with small traces that made it all the way under your shirt. The surface of your chest grew hotter, but it wasn't nearly as hot as the beating muscle in your chest. It was almost like your entire body was set aflame with nothing but his closeness as a cause.
Your fingers moved to fit against the shape of his head, his soft hair slipping around your wrist in the smoothest of ways. A smile grew wide on your chest and a quick thought of moving to tangle your legs farther with his passed through your head but got eliminated immediately obviously because it involved moving and you were already in heaven so why would you change a thing.
"Jinki?"
Your fingertips scraped his skull slowly, making the noise he made shift between a hum and a straight out purr, just like a small kitten that got his ears well scratched.
"I love you."
He snuggled closer, pressed a real kiss against your collarbones and you could feel the lazy smile that stretched his lips in such a beautiful way against your skin. "I love you more, Baby."
I'm doing alright. Majorly busy by real life, and I start writing only to rip pages out and throw them at a trashcan, and I recently feel head-over-heels in love with Kim Soohyun (I dreamed I'm waking up by the feeling of someone pressing butterfly kisses to my shoulders and it was him alright it's that bad. I'm not kidding.)
Throughout your entire day at college you felt like you were missing something. You checked your bag for your lunch multiple times, asked every student that goes to your class what the homework were to make sure you did them all, and even went as far as to ask your mother to stop by your house and check if you left enough food and water for your cat. This though, you definitely weren't expecting.

As you sat there just staring at your computer screen with your jaw hanging open, you found yourself wondering if karma took a kickboxing class.
Your boyfriend's face passed several more times on your Tumblr dash, more girls that have never talked to him, or hugged him as snow fell softly on your joined forms, or fell asleep on his chest as they stared into his eyes wished him a happy birthday and so much more, the words obviously coming from deep down their source of love.
And you, his girlfriend of the last year and a half, forgot all about said birthday.
The will to slap yourself was almost overwhelming as you let a long breath leave your lungs, your phone already in hand – it's 9pm and now it truly felt like you were slapped by someone.
You had exactly a second to blink at a smiling Minho gif before you whimpered, pulling yourself up and somehow you managed to almost crash into the ground flailing as you tried reaching your closet. Of course the fact you simply decided to appear on their doorstep would not fly with the manager at all, but getting yelled at will be worth it when Minho won't think you actually forgot his birthday. Which you still couldn't believe you have.
You pulled on enough clothes to keep you warm until you reached their dorm by foot, your memory searching hard for the schedule plans he shared with you for this specific day without reminding you of the meaning of it. They had a variety show that should be over any minute, then it'll be about an hour until they reach the dorm and by then you'll already be waiting for Minho with a pathetic cupcake from a batch you baked yesterday by total accident, a candle with the number 23 on it (it'll really be a two and a three that you happen to have lying around the house).
You got organized and ready to leave in record time, making sure you had everything to not mess this up even more.
*
A palm caressed your cheek a few seconds before a warm, moist pressure pressed it against your lips. "____." You recognized that whispered voice, that masculine, soft voice that you had an entire playlist made out of, an hour worth of that voice and you should probably slap yourself now.
You embraced his warmth even as you groaned at yourself, he's so absolutely wonderful and really, he should get a better girlfriend. You wrapped your arms around his shoulders, pulling him down on top of you even though you felt him tripping, his bed wasn't as fit for this action as yours. "I even fell asleep instead of waiting for you," You said softly by his ear, plating kisses on every patch of skin you could reach, his chuckle making your belly twist with happiness.
"Finding you asleep in my bed is the best thing I could ask for anyways," he reassured you as his arms wrapped tightly around you, flipping your bodies carefully so you'll press into his chest rather than the other way around. You lifted your head to actually look at him, his makeup covered face gave you a tired smile as his eyes gazed at you with such care and love, you wanted to give this boy your heart to show him how much you loved him.
You smiled back, dipping your head down to kiss his lips with all the emotions you had inside, his breath hitching against them as his arms tightened around you. "You should probably shower," you whispered against his lips as you felt him nodding.
"I'll be back soon."
You climbed off of his lap, sharing one more kiss with him before he got off of the bed, heading towards his private shower. Just when the door closed, as if on cue Kibum stuck his head in, a shit eating grin, "You forgot his birthday, didn't you?"
You narrowed your eyes at him, refusing the urge to take your tongue out at him. "You were on schedule all day as it is. For all you know, I was here since you left at four in the morning."
He simply raised an eyebrow at you. "I made him a cake, and I cut two pieces for you. Do not light a candle on a cupcake, understood?" You blushed, completely wordless as you nodded. "Good girl."
You lit the candles on his enormous sized slice of cake and brought it back to his room to find him already sited on his bed, drying his hair with a towel. He lowered it when he saw you, the halo of messy, wet hair around his head making your heart ache even more. You smiled and started singing a soft happy birthday song as you closed the door behind you with your foot, the sound of your voice never as beautiful as his but it brought such a smile to his face that you couldn't help but singing louder, just to get that smile to grow even bigger. He made room for you besides him as the last note of the song left your lips, his hands already searching for the plate of his food and the hand that vacated from it.
"Make a wish."
His eyes met yours, a short silence passing between you as he wished in his heart things that will be hidden from you in the hopes of coming true, before he blew air on the candles and the delicate scent of burning reached both your noses.
"Your candles are good," he commented, making you frown your eyebrows.
"Good?"
He leaned in so fast you didn't even see him coming before his lips were on yours. "I already got what I wished for."
You think Shin made you feel slightly like that too, a long time ago.

You couldn't help but groan when the sun hit your eyes, making you shield them against it as you rolled on tangled covers to your other side. This morning simply followed all the ones that came before it since you moved in with your fiancée, making your every morning just slightly depressing. No matter how strongly you stressed it, he just wouldn't close the drapes of the window that stood right in front of your bed, the one with the perfect angle to hit your eyelids precisely. Given he left the house before the sun even came up every day, he simply didn't care that you wake up with sunlight hitting you like that.
A noise that came from a pan being moved made you spring into a sitting position on your bed - he's not supposed to be home at this hour. Your eyes landed on the clock above your door and yes, it was way too late for the possibility for him to still be here. The mornings were the only times you were actually free of his presence and you waited for those times when you're able to catch your breath every single day. Your limbs froze against your efforts to move closer to the source of the noise, the convincing words that passed through your head telling you that maybe he really was a morning person. When you finally rounded into the kitchen you found him standing by the stove with his back to you, the ribbons behind his back and lower back showed that he was wearing your apron. You could recognize what he was making by the scent that rose from it, but it didn't smell all that pleasant. Of course you knew you'll have to force it down anyways.
"Took you long enough to get up," Shin's voice came out harshly, the sudden sound of metal hitting metal making you jump.
"I had no idea I needed to get up early," you spoke quietly under your breath, trying really hard not to cringe at the hard look he gave you.
"Sit."
It came automatically to you, how you followed every commend he gave you immediately. Your hands moved to grip the edge of the table as he turned to you, throwing a plate in front of you and you could only shut your eyes tightly, prying soundlessly that he won't press the pan against your skin. Instead you felt steam washing over your face and when you opened your eyes again, you saw an ugly looking omelet resting messily on your plate.
"Such a lazy woman I chose for myself," he hissed as his presence walked farther away from you.
You allowed his words to go right over your head as you swallowed your spit, forcing a smile instead of a frown. "Thank you, I'll eat well."
He scowled at you with a short nod of his head, making it obvious that there isn't even one teaspoon of will in this so called breakfast. "I'll leave you some money for you to buy a nice dress. I expect it to not be trash like anything else you wear."
Your teeth came to press into your tongue, the slight pain being a warning reminder to keep your mouth shut. When his stare got a bit too heavy you reminded yourself to nod as you dug into your plate. All your senses jerked at the bitter sting to your tongue, but luckily your facials were already accustomed to never showing your feelings
"Do you like it? His voice reached you again and you took your time to swallow, knowing your voice wasn't as trained as your face.
"Yes, it turned out great," you lied right through your teeth and he knew it. "What do I need new clothes for?"
He huffed, throwing the pan in the sink, probably for you to clean later. "My retarded new boss wants to meet you. He invited both of us to a dinner with his fiancé and him."
"Oh," you rested your fork down. "That's nice."
"I said it was retarded, didn't I?" He was above you in a breath, hand already risen and ready to strike. Your eyes squeezed shut tight and your entire body tensed up for the blow it knew was coming. Instead of the pain you expected, a hand rested lightly on your head instead. You raised your head slightly to peak at him, seeing the muscles of his jaw popping as he tried to hold himself back. "Make sure you control that mouth of yours tonight. Understood?"
You nodded body too tense to utter a sound as she threw a goodbye at you, grabbed his briefcase and shut the door behind him. You remained there for a short while, just breathing as you talked your body into moving again. Eventually it registered your need, allowing you to move your plate into the sink. Warm water washed over your cold hands and you bit into your lip, feeling how tears were rising in stinging drops behind your eyelids.
**
You bowed your head as you neared the entrance of the mall nearest to your home, the opening of the door greats you with a warm puff of air caressing your face. The only thing you could be thankful for when the snow received a cue to arrive was the overly powerful conditioning inside public building that made you feel just slightly sick. Your body moved in a heavier pace, but you felt your toes reacting with relief to the heat.
The mall was slightly crowded and it was just the way you liked it, being swallowed in a crowd. The thing you liked most about crowded places though was the ability to watch small moments in other people's lives. Seeing how normal others have it made you feel like you still had hope, even after what you're going through when those scenes are ripped from you to be replaced with a cold home and an even colder man.
You watched a mother grab her son's hand, as the little boy's eyes were glued to a showcase of the newest Pokémon game, and you were almost positive that game reached a high spot in his Christmas wish list. The boy's feet followed the direction his mother led him too, but everything else about his existence was invested completely, until the last bit of concentration, on that game that he'd love to have.
As you passed them by, your eyes searched for a new piece of trace. The curious orbs finally landed of a couple that was sitting closely together on one of the benches. You spotted them in the best possible moment you could, just when the guy leaned in and the up-until-now oblivious girl gasped when she realized his intentions, her eyes flattering shut and you could only imagine the rush that's going through her now, flashes hotter than the air conditioning as their lips met and a sigh escaped against the guy's lips.
You could feel blush rising on your own cheeks as you averted your eyes, giving them a sense of privacy even if they were in a crowded mall. The pit of your stomach warmed up as you thought back to days when someone made you feel this way too, a boy that you fell head over heels for when you were in high school, only to have him disappear out of your life one bright morning to a different country.
You think Shin made you feel slightly like that too, a long time ago.
The search for appropriate clothes that would please Shin was a real bother, since you really weren't sure there was anything he likes anymore, at least not when you're involved. With every couple that passed, caressed, looked deep into each other's eyes, the wondering in your stomach turned more intense as to why you're still with him to begin with. He likes seeing you in pain, he hits you around, and he curses you right to your face when he thinks you're still asleep. Your face reflected back at you from between the shoulders of manikins, the dark bruise present of your cheek making you flinch, knowing that every person whose eyes landed on you could see a small, but meaningful part of your pain.
So why…
The cashier smiled at you pleasantly as she handed you the bag for that cute, well-covering blue dress you found, and you returned it softly before strolling out of the shop. You thought back to an endless list of movies you made sure you watched enough times to memorize their every line, about a girl that makes her life change when no rescue arrives for her. You knew you wanted yourself to be stronger, so why are you like this now? Why are you letting a man treat you like this?
You slammed question after question into yourself, and when you blinked for the first time in what felt like seconds, minutes already passed and you were in your apartment. You pulled the ends of your coat tightly around you because you suddenly felt very, very cold as you slipped to sit on the sofa. Apparently, you left the television on before you left – it’s a good thing Shin will be working late tonight and didn't have a chance at coming back home and catching that little detail in the action – and through the sudden shot of fear the voices that came from it were comforting. It was a drama, the girl just met the boy and decided that he's incredibly rude yet oh so handsome, and the constant battle between the two begins.
The time passed you by as you stayed like this, just staring and thinking and hoping that the specific kind of courage you need is not the one that's only in books, because you need this change to breath properly again.
The third episode of the marathon ended and you finally pulled yourself from the sofa, getting up to get ready before Shin will come back home and see you haven't done anything yet. You took your phone in hand on your way to the bathroom, the small, green light flickering to tell you a message is waiting to be read. You opened the screen and there it was, another piece of your failed relationship flashing in your face. Shin said that he's sorry, but he won't be coming to pick you up. You need to use your own money for a cab to an address he wrote, and meet him up there.
You sighed, the device dropping on your bed as your coat followed, the promise of a thoughtless bath time screaming louder than his disappointing words.
**
The cab crawled into a stop by the front of the restaurant, and just by the looks of it you knew it was expensive. The cold air hit your face as you exited it, and walked towards the entrance. You gave Shin's boss' last name and the hostess smiled at you, leading you to your destined table with a small toss of information telling you no one reached the place before you did. Maybe Shin will see you arrived first and you'll be able to sleep soundly tonight.
You sat down as a waiter placed a glass of water by your plate with a delicate smile, and by the feeling of this place your insides warmed up again. It sure was romantic, all brown and soft red colored to create an atmosphere of warmth and closeness and you really liked this place, even though you doubted you'll ever enter it again. Shin won't like it.
"____?" A voice that you haven't heard in years came floating into your ears, and as your eyes lifted to spot a familiar face in such an anxious-rising slow motion, you felt like not a minute has passed since you last laid eyes on the man who will always remain the ultimate love of your life, Oh Sehun.
A red light switched on inside your head, and the name you gave at the entrance, Mr. Oh, made your stomach turn painfully.
"Sehun," His name slipped as a whisper from a smile so wide you could have sworn your face will never be the same, your eyes not even daring to leave his face as he slipped into the seat besides yours, hands moving like the most powerful magnet in this world to hold your own tightly. When your skin made contact you swore you could see fireworks going off above his head, those light-filled eyes searching yours for the confirmation he already received by your heart. Time has passed endlessly without him, years gone by, and now, in a single moment of feeling and touch you lost all that time to gain him.
His warm eyes swam with a brush of sadness as his thumb somehow reached to stroke your cheek, and your own widened a bit as you realized he's touching the bruise you worked so hard to cover with makeup. His teeth dug into his lip, a small frown presenting itself between his eyebrows and your heart skipped a beat because he feels the time, time hasn't passed for him either and he cares. "Who did this to you?" His voice was firm and pained, as if you touched his bruise and not the other way around.
"It doesn't matter," You whispered, taking his hand to reunite it with the other three that laid of the table. "You're Shin's boss, aren't you?"
"Shin…" His hands loosened between yours as yours tightened; afraid he'll let you go. "You're Shin's fiancée."
You averted your eyes from his suddenly blank ones, sighing as your head shook gently. "I am," you admitted, before you felt the heat he conjured in you rising to choke you, your eyes returning to his. "For now."
He stayed quiet for a few moments as his fingers wiggled to grasp yours tightly again. "Is he the one who bruised you?"
"___." Your name came again, only this time instead of warmth it sounded like a cold typhoon that washed over you to freeze your bones. You pulled your hands from his as your back shut straight, head turning to give Shin's hard eyes a weak smile.
Besides him stood a woman that flung herself into Sehun's lap, her arms wrapping around his shoulders and you looked down at your lap because you really didn't want to see that. You felt Shin slip into the seat next to you and across from Sehun, his hand coming to rest on your thigh as his fingers pushed in, making you wince with the pain.
Not in front of Sehun, you couldn't show weakness here.
His eyes followed the two of you closely through the rest of your time together. The woman who turned out to be Sehun's wife, Kang Minlim, turned out to be… Well, dumber then a shoe because really there was no gentle way to say it. She was breathtakingly gorgeous though, and her face fit next to Sehun's flower boy one perfectly.
Your heart pinched through the entire meal, a pain that got cured simply just by Sehun's smile shining on it. At times when he addressed you, it's like Shin and Minlim weren't even there, it was only the two of you like you used to be when you were the happiest woman on the planet, and as he dove into business related conversation, you looked down at your troubled hands as you breathed in and out to calm your nerves as a decision curved into shape inside your head, one that will change your life just like in those movies you've been thinking about the entire day, you'll change your life for the better.
Your eyes rose to Sehun again, and those feelings were what love was. You weren't foolish enough to believe the entire world will tip to your favor and you'll also get the boy to rest in your hands again, but maybe you'll find someone who will make you feel like a teenage girl, having her first kiss in a mall filled with people, yet feeling like you're all alone.
Maybe you'll have a second greatest love of your life.
Your phone buzzed inside the purse on your lap and you jumped a little in your seat, reaching in to grab it. The name 'My Sehunnie' greeted you from your screen – a name you never dared changing, not even after not having him in your life for years – and the message he wrong was simple.
"We aren't done talking. –S"
You smiled to yourself secretly, he still had your phone number.
Maybe after leaving Shin's apartment tonight, you just might dare dream about having the boy as well.
A group of girls shot extra mean looks at you and you frowned, did someone pass out a memo that you didn't know about?
**
You were getting pretty sick of this.
You were thankful at first, glad that as a new student in a foreign country, the teachers made sure you'll have someone by your side until you'll get on your own feet.
Youngjae was pretty great too — he never made fun of your funny and most times incorrect Korean, he showed you his favorite hangout spots, introducing you to his friends, had been nothing but kind to you.
"Hurrying off to see your boyfriend?" A girl you knew by face alone laughed, rejoining her friends with the glee of disturbing the new girl's peace of mind.
This was the actual problem.
No one in this entire school was able to see a boy being kind to a girl without automatically assuming that they're dating. As the new girl from a different country you caught enough attention on your own, and with the pairing with one of the most talented people in school almost made your head spin.
He never showed you that side of him, you only knew it existed thanks to the entire population of the school. It started when a frantic girl came running to you, asking you between deep intakes of breath if your boyfriend sang to you yet. With no boyfriend in your near or far future, you simply shook your head at her words, watching the girl break into a huge smile and a rain of thank yous. The rest were a bit more straightforward towards you, bluntly commending you to leave their 'oppa' alone. You never even saw their brothers.
If it were the student body alone you could have taken it, you knew teenagers will always be mean and cruel, no matter what country you live in. What really disturbed you were your teachers, perfectly grown adults that found actual satisfaction on embarrassing the both of you about your none-existing relationship. It were them who paired you endlessly, used you as examples for every romantic scene they could find, and even some they forced into fitting your situation.
It was ridiculous.
"____!" Speaking of the devil, a blond boy with extremely fluffy mane of a hair jogged towards you, a bright smile taking over his entire face.
He was so good to you, you found yourself constantly feeling bad for how bad your friendship made you feel. You shifted on the grass, returning his smile when his bag fell closely to you, his body following course. "Hey."
"Did you hear the news?"
You kept yourself from groaning. "What news?"
"We got voted to be our class' Romeo and Juliette!" He raised his hands, making small noises that made you giggle in spite of yourself. How did a boy at this age managed to be so darn cute? "You're alright with stages, right?"
You paused, blinking at him. "Stages?"
He nodded, stealing the cucumber you've been holding, taking a bite from the end you already bit. Boyfriend behavior. "Every class will send a boy and a girl to perform a bit out a known love story. We got the greatest one of all!"
You really aren't surprised by this, it's probably the teachers' idea. If it were Japan you would have said they were moe-chasers, but really, you thought Korea was supposed to be saner. "Do you want to do it?" You watched his excited nodding.
"It sounds like lots of fun!" He offered the final piece of cucumber to your mouth and you naturally leaned in to grab it with your teeth, somehow managing to stop yourself and grab it with your hand instead.
"It's going to bring us so much attention though, Jae," you sighed, slipping the cucumber into your mouth.
He nodded, eyes trained on you. "Do you have a problem with that?"
You paused, returning his gaze only to break it by looking down at your hands. "It's just... Getting pretty disturbing, Youngjae. Everyone are calling you my boyfriend, the teachers have a ship name for us and the entire student body is getting a kick out of constantly teasing me about it. The Romeo and Juliette thing will only make it worse."
Only silence met your explanation, and you waited a few moments before you raised your eyes to him, regretting it immediately. It was like dark cloud rested on his eyes, almost anime-like in its intensity. "I see," he responded at last, pushing himself from the ground. Your spit was suddenly hard to swallow, your eyes watching him closely as he flicked his bangs out of his eyes, giving you a too-soft smile. "I'll ask Shinma-nim to take us off the list, so don't worry about it anymore."
His words left hanging heavily in the air around you, and you were so unsure of what you just experienced that you found yourself sitting there with your mouth agape and your mind blank of any sort of a response, your eyes only able to watch him as he walked farther away from you.
**
He's avoiding you now.
You've been telling yourself that nothing changed since you admitted your disturbance to him, even though you went to sleep with an uneasy stomach. When morning came and he returned your excited, everyday wave with a weak and barely heartfelt one, you began to worry.
As you tried calming your stomach down, you noticed someone else was giving you serious stink eye — shinma-nim looked at you as if you threw a rock at her dog or something. You cooed at Youngjae — who is now three seats away from you instead of right by your side, where he usually sits — throughout the whole lesson, while she bluntly ignored you and everything that had anything to do with you.
She even skipped your name on her list.
You hurried to Youngjae's side the second the bell rang, tapping his shoulder with a big smile on your lips. He tried keeping a poker face as his eyes met yours, only to crack it almost immediately, his hand rising to hide his smile instead. "Hey, Jae! I saw you thinking about escaping, so I decided to assault you before you could." He chuckled, softly shaking his head. When no sort of answer came, you continued on your point. "I wanted to have lunch with you. Can you wait for me?"
He paused for a second, a sigh being the approval. "I'll be outside."
"Great!" You hurried over to your own table, throwing the entire content of your table into your bag, never minding the mess which you'll never allow under any other circumstance. Youngjae leaned against the opposite wall of lockers as you stepped out, eyes rising to you as you neared. Your walk to your usual tree was surprisingly lacking for the ones you usually share, and you couldn't stop yourself from sneaking glances at him the entire time. He greeted the students that passed by him in the halls — that's how you knew his problem was with you, and it was up to you to fix it.
He was almost reluctant to sit down at your once comfortable shade. A group of girls shot extra mean looks at you and you frowned, did someone pass out a memo that you didn't know about?
Youngjae took out his food, beginning to eat as if nothing happened, even those boo calling from pretty far away. The more important thing to you was the boy right in front of you, though. The one who ate while staring into space, instead of smiling or sharing a joke with you like he usually did. It may have been no more than one day of ignoring, yet a tug of missing affected your heart like it's been weeks. "Why are you being like this?" You blurred out, looking down at your own closed lunch box.
"Like what?" His reply was simple, breezy.
"Avoiding me," you finally lifted your eyes to him, finding concern gravitating in his dark brown orbs.
"I'm not — "
"Yes you are," you cut him off before the lie passed through his lips. "Is it because of the Romeo and Juliette thing? If it means that much to you, I'll happily do it. Seriously."
He lowered his box slowly to the ground, sighing. "It's not the Romeo and Juliette thing, I told you not to worry about that, didn't I?"
You huffed, "You did, right before you stopped answering my texts and fought not to even look at me at any point of the day." Your words spilled out like your mouth flooded with them, releasing one stone after the other from your chest, tossing them at him to handle. You waited for a response, yet your words met with nothing but another sigh. "Say something, please."
From there you watched closely as feeling after feeling passed on that handsome face you grew to know so well. He was fighting, against what you didn't know, and you wished so hard you had words to make it easier for him, even though you had no idea what kind of demons are hunting him in the first place. After failing to fit things together, his eyes met with yours and you saw nothing but helplessness. "I want to be your Romeo," he replied at last in a small sound. You frowned, tilting your head. Your mind was entirely blank of all kinds of replies that would fit this situation.
"What the teachers said, the students," he continued when he saw you were listening, accepting, "That's now I feel. I want to be associated with you, and not in the friendship zone. I want to be your boyfriend."
Still, even with all the stones he tossed your way, you found no words. Your heart was beating against your ribs, making you feel small and weak and confused. You thought about this before, but it looked so far away that you never gave the thoughts space to run, only to have them all crash into your face now.
You opened your mouth to speak, right before warm lips covered yours almost in depression, a hand coming to press against the skin of your neck, keeping you still. Your eyes fluttered close at the touch and now, reflected on them like a screen, you could see it. Every single word the student body and teachers said, the will behind every action he pulled the meaning behind brief glances.
You could see Youngjae.
He pulled away, checking your eyes for a reaction. Realization settled in right before a smile broke onto your face, your body almost gravitating towards his lips, for more of that touch.
As always, you are fantastic. I loved this part and cannot wait to find out what happens next. I'm super curious to see how Kitty got to be human. Was he human first or kitty first? I guess sooner or later we shall find out!
Really? I felt this episode was the worst one yet orz
I'm not really sure yet. I need to ask him about it ke
Summery: "You just admitted being able to visualize yourself dating your cat, ____," she shook her head jerkingly, as if she was trying to get rid of some majorly disturbing images that popped in her head.
*
You're not the kind of person who dreams a lot. In fact, you never experienced dreaming in your life. Well sure everyone dreams, but you've been trying to concentrate and come up with at least one time where you woke up and remembered any of the things your mind showed you over the night. It seemed like no such memory existed in your private memory lane.
Your line of thought was snapped when something soft - an eraser, you guessed - hit your temple. You blinked a few times until your eyes focused on the board in front of you before turning your glance to Shinma, who returned it through silted eyes. She did have a point, you were her only chance of passing this particular class, but you couldn't concentrate for the life of you.
The very first dream you've ever had was about Kai breaking into your house. He did mess with your thoughts a lot lately - to the point where he was at the back of your mind throughout every single day, even when you pushed it away with the longest pole your mind could conjure - but you used to be into a lot of things just like that, and nothing ever came inside your dreams and broke into your house.
You sighed, leaned your head on your hand and grabbed your pen, twirling it between your fingers. The weirdness of this dream stretched miles ahead and you just couldn't stop thinking about it, even though it was impossible and will probably never happen. You calling a boy you don't really know in the middle of the night, said boy happen to answer the call while standing in your living room, to later hold you as you faint in his arms. Every time you tried – for only a second – to think of it as a real thing that happened, you felt like your teenage-stupid was bursting out of you, and you weren't even the type to get teenage stupid anyways.
What kept the thoughts going through all your negative feelings, were the things that did match with your dream. When you woke up your phone was lying around on the living room floor, your parents said the light was on even though it was off when you went to sleep, and the front door was open. They feared someone broke in, even though one again nothing was taken.
When you did stop thinking about your dream, Kai still stayed put in your thoughts. That boy… You sighed, he must have seen thousands of girls every single day, why will he send people to you, send you flowers, made sure his band members reminded you of him constantly… This is not a movie, you're not an actress or a character or anything like that. You were never special to anyone but your parents and maybe Shinma, but other than that you weren't sure people even knew you existed.
And that's what made him so darn fascinating to you.
Shinma watched you closely your entire way to the tree you claimed as your regular lunch spot, even as you laid out your food.
"You're staring."
"Your parents called and said you got broken into again," she raised her eyebrows, a slight smirk rising on her lips with the satisfaction of your reaction.
After reminding yourself gaping isn't a thing you can do in public, you frowned and pushed a piece of lettuce into your mouth. "Nothing happened."
"I thought so too, maybe your parents were still a bit freaked out from the last time and their head wondered around," she nodded in agreement, wrinkling her nose. "But you were especially space-like today, even through your favorite class. Mrs. Choi kept staring at you the entire 45 minutes since the student who speaks to her the most remained quiet." She paused, her eyes narrowing at you. "Spill it."
You rested your chopsticks on your tray, looking up in return. So many emotions passed through Shinma's eyes when you told her about the entire dream, from beginning to end, to finally settle on pure curiosity. "I don't think it was a dream."
You huffed, waving the chopsticks in front of her face, a few single rise bits sent flying around in result. "Don't say that, silly. It was a dream."
"Your parents found proof of it though!"
"My parents found proof of humans living in our house. That would be us," you nodded once, slipping a lettuce wrap past your lips.
"I really don't like you when you get that way." She threw her own lettuce at your face, hitting you right on the nose.
**
You spent the rest of the day trying to convince Shinma you're not buying her crazy talk, while she opposed by letting you know about farther thoughts of her crazy talk. You even broke a personal ethical law by passing notes to her in the middle of the class, even though the red pen part – your pen – was mainly made of three dots that did not justice to the amount of straight face you could have given her for her written words.
And you have an excellent poker face when you want to have one.
"I still don't think it's a dream," Shinma shrugged like there's not much to it at all, re-adjusting the straps of her bag.
You wrinkled your nose as you looked at her. How dare she. "I never dreamt, not even once throughout my entire life. The first thing I dream about in the history of my life should be either of me as wonder woman, or of Jongin as my super awesome boyfriend." Now that you heard it outside of your head, it sounded kind of sad. Shinma just stared at you like you lost your mind. You stared back. "EXO's Kai is not a part of that short, meaningful list, you see."
"You just admitted being able to visualize yourself dating your cat, ____," she shook her head jerkingly, as if she was trying to get rid of some majorly disturbing images that popped in her head. "I'm glad Kai became a part of that list. Crushed it, even." When her eyes met yours, she didn't look the least bit surprised to catch you glaring at her. "You should try and call him."
"And say what?" You sighed.
Shinma raised her hand excitedly, popping her thumb and finger out to imitate a phone by her ear, speaking with an accent too close to yours, "Kai boo! Hey, I'm that girl you like stalking and sending people to, how are you?" You paused your step and glared at your friend like there's something very wrong with her. And there was. "Yes, I'd like to schedule a date with you, seeing your face again would be nice. What was that, love? What flavor is my lipstick?"
You gasped a bit too dramatically and slapped her hand away from her ear, refusing to even smile at the bubbly laughter that followed. It took her a few seconds to get it together before she was able to speak again. "It's an important detail to know, maybe there's a flavor he's allergic to!"
"I wish I was allergic to you," you mattered, beginning to walk only to run into a hard chest. You blinked a few times before your eyes traveled up, finally meeting slightly puffy and more then slightly intimidating eyes. "Let me guess, you're from EXO," you sighed.
The boy nodded, "Huang Zitao, it's nice to meet you."
"Yeah well, Huang Zitao," you stepped around him, stopping again only because Shinma hadn't moved. You glanced back, eyeing your friend as she stood there, staring at Huang Zitao as if god just revealed itself before her. The entire 'evil' look was really not your thing, but if it were you would have probably reacted the same as her. It still was the first time you saw Shinma taking an interest in anyone other than and you and Kai and Jongin, but he's a cat so he doesn't count. You shut your eyes, shaking your head to bring it back to course. "You can tell Kai I'll call him tonight just so I could tell him to stop this. Consider your message taken."
His hand rose in front of your face, making you stop. "I was told to talk on his behalf, but not by him. We're sorry for the way he scared you last night."
Your eyes almost felt like they were bugging out of their place. "W-What?"
"Entering your house last night was a horrible move to make, so," he bowed 90 degrees before you, head bowing as well. "Please give us your forgiveness."
Shinma broke out of her trance, wide eyes looking at you. Her point ended up being taken, it was not a freaking dream. Your mouth opened and closed, yet no sound was heard.
Shinma decided to attack her god instead. "So what you're saying is Kai did break into her house last night?" Huang Zitao rose slowly, blinking at the girl who stood behind him. She froze for a second, swallowing the spit in her mouth and you made sure to cheer for her super heard in your head, which worked. "Actually came into her house and waited in her living room for her to call him? Is he even sane?"
You couldn't see his face at this point, but Shinma looked charmed again, a silly smile plastered on her face and that was humoring enough for you. The man slowly shook his head. "No, I don't think he is."
You blurred out a laugh, moving aside him to grab Shinma's hand and pull her behind you. "Yeah well alright then. Your joke is clear." You shook your head, leading the way for the both of you.
Okay, maybe your life were a bit like a movie, but it sure was less romance and way more comedy.
**
"A man came to tell you it's true," Shinma kept pushing the subject, but that's nothing new. Her body was stretched across your bed, a long piece of candy sticking from her mouth. You sure hoped she won't drop it on your covers, you did not like sleeping on a sticky bed. "What more do you need?"
"A reason," you groaned the word, turning around in your seat to look at her. "A legit reason as to why a world-known dancer would not only stalk me through his friends, but also break into my house to wait for a call from me." You crossed your arms on your chest. "Try me."
"I don't know, ____. That's for you to find out." Shinma shrugged, sincerity filling her eyes.
A knock was heard from your door, your mother's smiling face poking in through it. "It's lights out time! Are you girls all ready for bed?"
You pushed yourself onto your feet, making your way to your bed. Shinma scooted over as she wished your mother a good night. You followed her lead, sending the woman almost identical to you a smile. "How about this," Shinma whispered into the darkness. "If you won't get your answer soon, we'll invade EXO's rehearsals studio and beat him into telling us what's with him."
"That sounds amazing, Shin," you chuckled, patting her head before laying yours on your pillow. "Thanks."
You soon found out your night won't be as good as you thought it would. With another person right besides you, you really thought you'd let go and will be able to rest, at last.
Wrong.
You tossed and turned, careful not to wake Shinma from her own peaceful sleep. You huffed your bangs out of your eyes, staring up at the ceiling. Your watch shone in its green letters, letting you know it's a bit past midnight, and you're still wide away as if it's midday.
With a sigh you pulled yourself out of your bed, slipping your feet into your favorite fluffy slippers. The material allowed you to step down the stairs without a sound, because the only help you could come up with to your situation was a big glass of warm milk. Of course you didn't have the energy to actually heat it up, so a cold glass of milk would have to do for now. The white liquid made you feel the slightest bit better by just being poured into a glass, a smile rising on your lips when it finally slipped past them.
You were never the milk type, but that was your father's solution whenever something got out of his hands, so it was comforting. You needed comforting.
As your eyes looked around the only slightly lightened room, you caught a glimpse of a figure, a man's shadow in the middle of the squire-shaped light that came in through your front door. You set your glass down on the kitchen island, your steps hesitant and shaky as you stepped into the hallway. The man lifted a hand and for a second you held your breath, but instead of knocking, he lifted the hand farther to his head, maybe to run his fingers through his hair or something like that. A few steps closer brought you to wrap a hand around your dad's baseball club, the new one he got after the first – and only – break in, an attempt to make you feel safer. As you raised it above your shoulder, you felt exactly what he wanted you to feel.
Your teeth dug into your lips worriedly as you inched closer, wrapping your other hand around the door knob. With just the slight twist it'll be open and you could attack the man before he could attack you. What a great thought.
You moved faster than you thought you could at this point, pulling the door open and raising the bat just a bit more so you could swing it and –
The man's hand wrapped around it, his instincts much faster than yours, his other one rising in front of your face, "Hey! Hey, it's okay!" You recognized the voice by now, your teeth digging deeper as you tried swinging it even with his hold on it. He, on the other hand, simply pulled it out of your hand and threw it on the grass that decorated your back yard.
An especially strong huff blew the bangs from your eyes so you could stare boldly into his own sheepish ones. There he was, EXO's Kai, standing at the step of your door, all around sheepishly boyish. A nervous chuckle escaped his lips, eyes almost pleading you. "I thought I shouldn't let myself in this time, so." You paused, narrowing your eyes at him slightly. "Hi."
Hey~ I have a request for you ^^ A scenario where Baekhyun befriends a soft spoken girl and gets her to open up to him. But then she becomes noticeable and liked by everyone else, so he can't have her to himself. Thanks (:
You barely caught a flesh of blond before the doors closed and a breath left your chest as a pleasant smile rose on your face. Good.
**
You've heard about cases like this millions of times, because such an old story never changes its face. When you get your dream job and your employer falls in love — or lust — with you, it's the first sign before everything comes trampling down.
When you first crossed the doors of your favorite journal and saw the collections of visuals there, you were certain no one will ever look twice your way. The other women were actual live amazons, all hair porn and high heels and this special scent that was like petals were carried by the wind right where they passed, listening to their every commend.
It was half amusing and half completely embarrassing how much you didn't fit in that place.
You were the hard worker part of the company, and they may not count that many people into that department, but they were the ones who brought actual material to the editing table. Of course the actual material was brought by the amazons, but your people were the ones who put everything together flawlessly.
Even as you sat down on their comfy couch and waited for your initial interview, you felt like you fit right into their little, organized world.
"____!" You barely raised your eyes at the call of your name. "The boss is calling you."
That is, until the big boss took a special interest in you.
It began in the ending of your first month, when the first magazine your hand touched was presented to said boss. A table was made, with the pages of the magazine laid in havoc, colors and patterns and stylish fonts switch and match right before your eyes. Small plates of snacks were also prepares — the girl with the really big glasses that you were quite fond of told you the big boss liked watching his staff eat with smiles on their faces — and when your crew sat round the table in their belonged seats, your toes tingled with excitement.
Because you were new your seat was the farthest from the boss's position, and also from the girl with the glasses, but you were alright just sitting there and fastening on the butterflies that filled your stomach. Your piece — yes you got assisted on it and the editor goddess changed the entire visuals of it, but it was still yours — was displayed not far from you, and brought a huge smile on your face whenever you looked at it.
Apparently, you weren't the only one feeling the happiness of it. When the boss first saw it, he made this weird high pitched sound like a dolphin's, and you swear you're not the only one who jumped from the scare of it. He picked the nylonized page carefully, looking it up and down and sideways and all around really. "Who made this?"
The man who sat next to you - a short thing with puffy looking eyes and a shock of electric blue hair - pointed you out as the guilty with a swift move of his thumb.
You blinked at his finger for a second before turning your eyes towards the boss — the regret being immediate. His big, gorgeous eyes looked at you in wonder, a wicked smile decorating a handsome face. Now when you got a closer look it was obvious for you how this place was filled with all kinds of nymphs — the boss must have been their queen goddess! Sure the description sounded a bit feminine, but hey, so was his face.
As thoughts raced out of control inside your head, the male goddess in front of you leaned way across the table, inching a bit too close to your face. "Amazing work, ____ ____."
It was in that specific point your work life got a bit over-complicated. The boss, who goes by the name of Kim Himchan, seemed to really like embarrassing you. If it was Skinship, or pet names, or even just saying your name in the most seductive tone he could master, he would find a way to keep the blush permanently on your face whenever he could. He would often invite you into his office for no apparel reason, just to have a light chat over a cup of tea. When you saw no one else got invited to such treats besides you, you began to get seriously concerned.
The girl with the glasses — Minsang by name — confirmed your worries by saying only his favorites would get asked to such events, and the way she said favorites made it clear where the previous girls in your position went.
"I'm coming!" A sigh escaped your lips as you announced, pulling yours upwards from your chair to make your way into his office.
The room he settled in was decorated very tastefully, but aside of that, you would never even begin thinking it was a boss' office when you first walk in. With the random clothes hanging on expensive decorations, golf sticks sticking from piles of paper sprawled across the floor and the window that got painted with a hand which clearly lacked talent, it looked more like a rich college student's room.
"____! Finally, come in," his smile widened upon seeing you, his hand moving to show you the seat you knew all too well. It was the only one besides his which didn't have enormous stacks of paper on them, so it's not like you ever had actual choice.
You sat down, another breath sinking in with your body's attempt at making another sigh heard, which you held back with the presentation of a smile. Even though he could be a weird creep at times, Kim Himchan was still a nice man who never treated you or anyone else at the office, badly. That gave him some special kind of credit that made you hold your position in his office, at least until the situation gets worse.
He poured Korean-made tea into the cup that was already made for you, the smile never leaving his face, even when his eyes left you. "I've been meaning to ask you something."
You tried not to raise your eyebrows too high. "You always ask me questions."
"Well, yeah." His smile became sort of sheepish and no, your stomach did not just turn inside you at the sight of it. Not at all from the crazy amount of attraction had you for him. "But this one's close and personal, so I wanted to check the waters before diving in."
Oh god. You sat straighter in your chair and swallowed your spit. When he asked to ask before actually asking — yes that didn't come out right but your brain seemed to become an incompetent mush inside your head — it could only mean the question is almost life changing, when you saw it at work, at least. When the boss looked at February's issue, "True Love and How to Hunt it Down", he looked at the pink cover with the happy couple smiling through the covered. A hand hovered over his lip as he asked if he can ask a question. Havoc rolled over the office as everyone turned extremely busy when the lovey-dovey cover was asked to turn into a green one with the reference of those who did not have a valentine and their point of view on Valentine's Day.
That kind of life changing.
"There's this...," he began, a hand rising to cover his mouth as he looked ahead, searching for the right words. You liked your life though, you didn't want it to be changed! "Restaurant —"
"No," the word left your lips before you could even think of it, your heart warning you by beating loudly in your ears and you were pretty sure your hand was shaking by your thigh as well. "I won't go out with you."
Even though you refused looking at him with the fear of seeing rejection in his eyes, you could still feel the orbs trained on you with concentration. His voice, against your reasoning, was as calm and soft as always, "But — "
"Please don't voice it, I really like my job." You looked down at your hands and they were clenched into weak fists now. The drumming of your heart drowned half of your words. "I can't keep it if you do."
"Why not?" He got up, moving to stand behind you. You tensed up farther, worried he will turn to the Skinship card now. You were a sucker for Skinship and it really won't do you any good.
You stepped away, circling his body enough so he couldn't reach out and touch you. "Because work and pleasure never works together, and I don't want it to."
You shook your head slowly and when his hand rose towards you, to touch you, you simply turned around and stepped right from his office. You walk as quickly as you could without scaring the employees with your speed, ignoring the girl with the glasses as you brushed past her, wanting nothing but to step into the elevator and going outside and breathing fresh air so you could think it through.
You reached the metal doors, pressing the button by them a few times as you glanced behind you. The black-haired male goddess was nowhere to be seen yet you pressed the now lighted button again just for the hack of it. Even with a few moments of shock he could still catch up to you, and you couldn't let him.
The doors gapped and you slipped through, pressing the button which lead to the lobby. Once you'll get there and settle in with the crowd of the street, you'll be alright. You barely caught a flesh of blond before the doors closed and a breath left your chest as a pleasant smile rose on your face. Good.
The bell rang when you reached one floor beneath your office, the doors opening to reveal — someone's hands caught the doors' edges and the blond you've feared threw himself inside the elevator, panting as if the oxygen couldn't get into his lungs.
"Did you use the stairs?" You stared at him, absolutely astonished at the achievement he made. He shut you up with a raise of his finger, his back leaning against the mirror to keep himself steady.
You eyed him as he tried to catch his breath, the doors of the elevator sliding shut in front of you as it continued its journey. "Are you okay?"
His eyes met yours almost angrily, his figure rising until he stood quite tall above you. "Why did you run off like that?"
You swallowed your spit, looking away as heat rose in your cheeks. All your attempts to string words together into a sentence failed miserably and he opened his mouth again to speak right before the lights flickered above you, the metal box which held the two of you about 20 stores above the ground shaking until you both found yourselves on the floor, grabbing the single bar that could keep you study. A high pitched scream was heard and no, it wasn't you, before the light gave out completely and you were left with nothing but silence.
After the few moments it took the shock to wear off and for you to find your voice, a small, red light flicked above you in a supposedly calming tempo, showing you a bit of your boss' face. "Are you alright, Mr. Kim?"
"H-Himchan." His voice was a shaken barely-heard whisper and you could see his fear struck eyes for a few seconds at a time through the blinking of the light. Since you were so used to seeing him as the strongest man in the building, watching the scared kitty side of him did not help at all to the scared kitty part inside of you. Your back slid against the metal wall behind you until you met with the floor, placing your palms face down to feel some sort of security.
It didn't help.
He cleared his throat, eyes shut tightly before they were suddenly open by the next blink of light. "Where's the rescue button?"
You looked around, searching with the small windows of opportunities the blinking gave you. With most of your concentration placed on the other human that shared the space with you, it took you a while to find the button and press it down.
"What's your emergency?" Asked a deeply Duego accented female voice through the speakers.
You pulled yourself closer to the speaker. "We got stuck in the elevator, around the 12th floor."
"Got it, we'll take care of it soon. Please make sure you remain mostly still and breath calmly to preserve the air you have until the rescuing crew comes," the woman instructed her voice bored and dull before she disappeared and you were left alone again, with your boss and the blinking darkness.
The usual vocal man remained still and too quiet in his corner of the small space, doing nothing but clenching the iron bar with a strength that looked slightly intimidating for you, and barely breath and is his chest even moving? "Mr. K - ah, Himchan," you grabbed your end of the bar and pulled yourself back onto the carpet-covered floor. You tried remembering what it looked like in daylight - hopefully it was clean enough to sit on - as you sat down anyways, watching the man in front of you closely. "Are you hurt?"
Your eyes hurt when you concentrated on watching his left-to-right motion. "And now with words?"
"I'm fine." His voice came out like a pair of hands had a hard grip around his throat, refusing to let him breath.
You frowned, sinking back with an additional wrinkle of your nose. He was the one always trying to make you be more verbal with him, not the other way around. "I'm sorry for getting us into this," you offered, sighing as softly you could to keep him from realizing how frustrated you are with this situation.
"It's not your fault," his sigh matched yours, his grip on the iron bar tightening after slipping the slightest bit. "I'm sorry for chasing you out."
"What were you thinking?" you blurred out before you managed to stop yourself.
He remained quiet for a few moments, his other hand rising to wipe the sweat from his forehead, which is basically a mystery since it's really not that hot. "I just really like you," he confessed, gaze fixated on the shut iron doors. A violent beat roared through your breath cage, your eyes widening at that blinkingly bright handsome face.
"You're my boss."
His voice came out as such a soft whisper, you almost missed it, "I know."
"A relationship between us is forbidden."
"I know."
"I thought about starting one anyways too."
"I know - wait." You could really feel him staring now.
But you were on a roll. "I'm scared of the darkness."
He hesitated for a moment or two. "I'm claustrophobic."
"Why did you run into an elevator then?" You stared right back.
"I had to stop you before you could step right out of my life!" He let go of the iron for a split second to wave his hand in the air before bringing it right back to its previous position. He huffed and shook his head. "I shouldn't have told you so bluntly or so suddenly or - "
"It's alright," you cut him off. "It made me feel kind of good."
The chuckle he made was the first positive sound he made ever since he stepped into your elevator and it blossomed a smile on your face that belonged to no one but you, "Kind of?"
You let out a short laugh at his light teasing. "Is a lot better?"
"Why yes it is!" His voice sounded victorious and when the light flicked and stayed this time, you were allowed to look into the man's eyes and for the first time since you saw that spark you felt the light of it reaching you too.
The two of you slowly got on your feet, eyes never leaving each other or the stupid grins you both had on your faces. "I want to take you out," he gave his shoulder a short shrug, probably a nervous habit you assumed as you watched with a slightly tilted head. "Once. Just to try it out."
The metal box began moving again and neither of you noticed, really. You folded your arms over your chest in a challenge as your smile turns into a smirk, enjoying the amusement reflecting in his eyes. "We'll see."
You can feel it by the way your friends look at you, then giggle (which is weird given they're boys, very manly boys aside of all the hair spray and makeup and gorgeousness, yes under all that they were still boys), then try to pull off a poker face before it cracks and they start giggling again.
It's been like this for a while now, a week or two, and you've finally had enough. There has to be a reason for this disturbing behavior.
Of course they'll tell you nothing, you know that already, so you'll have to find a good strategy to go by and win this war right beneath their noses.
(Maybe you take this a little too seriously, but secrets in public are really rude.)
First, you need to spot the weakest link in the chain. With 12 boys you had enough links to test, yet you found the one rather easy.
Well, with your knowledge of Huang Zitao's deepest and darkest secrets, he had to be it.
With a skip to your step you made your appearance at the door leading to his room, clearing your throat softly. He barely succeeded to tear his eyes away from the screen in front of him - no doubly staring at his own face, captured by enchanted fangirls in airports and such - and a simple eyebrow raise was all you got.
"I'm going to the mall. Want to tag along?"
You swear you never saw someone put their shoes on faster than him.
**
Of course this path would be pricey. The reason why Zitao got fired up so quickly was the clear knowledge that you need something he's got, and being the boy he is he took advantage of the situation pretty well.
He was aware that you were definitely not Kris though, so he didn't even try pulling his puppy eyes at you in exchange for a new and shiny Prada bag - a manly bag, he whispers with the deepest voice his throat can produce - but settles for a tube of his favorite face cream, the really expensive one that makes his face feel like a baby's butt.
Counting all the treats you'll be losing this week in your head, you drop yourself onto a chair in a secluded part of the mall, a cone of ice cream he was generous enough to buy in your hand. When he sat down besides you it was so delicate and graceful and not like you that you wanted pretty badly to comment on his pretty princess posture, the words almost slipping past your lips before his cat eyes turned on you, silencing you with the curiosity for what stood behind the spark.
"So, what do you need?" He asked knowingly before closing his lips around the creamy goodness.
You pulled on your business face, allowing your tongue to quickly slip through your lips in a nervous habit you acquired from one Oh Sehun. "What's going on?"
He blinked at you.
"Everyone's been acting pretty weird around me lately," You take the time to explain, deciding to focus your concentration on your ice cream when a chocked giggle was heard from Zitao's direction. "Junmyun stares and Sehun chokes on his spit and Luhan has this constant shit-eating smile whenever I'm around and Minseok's been giving me all those Zen sentences about love and how it finds us and - " You paused to take a breath. "Kyungsoo's been making me sweet bread. Like, every day."
Zitao spent a few moments just looking at you. "I promised not to tell or one of the guys will make ghost sounds whenever I enter the shower," he spoke honestly, the slight off pitch in his voices proves he's actually pretty scared with the option of never being able to shower for the rest of his (dorm) life.
You patted his head and nodded, returning to your ice cream for comfort.
**
So you weren't the only one who knew Zitao's weaknesses. The thing about this kind of threat though, is that not all twelve boys were capable of that. With such words hanging over his head, Zitao can get kind of whiney and unpleasant, not everyone can put up with that. A simple fact that narrowed down your search, at least.
You threw your keys onto their plate next to the door and took your shoes off before continuing down the hall, not even bothering to announce your arrival as the boys were already used to you just entering like you owned the place. You were greeted with the sweet smell of sweet bread that swam through the dorm and even though you would start gaining some serious weight soon, you were glad Kyungsoo took the time to make something so delicious every now and then.
You made a bee line to the kitchen, following the scent that made your mouth water. When you turned the corner you caught sight of Kyungsoo who just opened the oven's door wide open, skipping to take his dark blue mitten.
This boy will really be the end of you.
Sometimes it was really hard handling his cuteness, during the small spaces of time when he didn't scare you. The boy with his big owl eyes and his plump lips would look like a little angel to anyone who didn't know him, but when you finally do you find a little devilish monster that you grew to be quite fond of. He may torture his members when the feeling struck him, but it was only amusing you seeing he never thought of doing the same to you. You even found your heart beating a little faster at times he would say something sarcastic and amazing or when he would look just absolutely breathtaking and you just can't find the strength to peal your eyes away from him and he's a life ruiner.
That's what he is.
Taking your sweet time leaning against the frame of the door, you watched him as he blew air that did no good before he grabbed the tray, pulling it carefully with both hands.
"Hey, Kyungsoo oppa." You chuckled as he let out a high pitched sound, grabbing his chest as he snapped straight, wide eyes staring at you.
Your name slipped from his lips and it was almost like music as his lips stretch with fondness. Your stomach sure liked that as it launched itself inside your body, totally against your coherent wishes for it to stop. "When did you get here?"
"Just now," You pushed away from the door frame, heading towards the small island which stood proudly in the middle of their kitchen. "Sorry for scaring you."
A muscle moved in his jaw and this is one of the new things that you find kind of concerning, the small changes that showed along with the giggles. Kyungsoo's way of changing was being a bit stiff around you, even carrying his body is a weird looking way that probably wasn't very comfortable.
As you thought it up, you watched his chest puff out, a more serious look presenting itself on his face as he pulled himself into this new stiffness mode. "You have good timing."
"Thank you," You smile small as you watched his pull his mittens as swiftly as he could, throwing them somewhere behind him. "I could smell it all the way from downstairs. Smells good."
"Always does."
Did he just attempt to wiggle his eyebrows?
A choked sound was heard from the frame you left, and you turned around to find Zitao standing there, looking as if he was a cat who just found a very amusing cream to steal. He moved as such too as his eyes switched between you and Kyungsoo.
"Hello," he greeted simply, flinging an arm around your shoulders. Skinship was usual Zitao behavior so you brushed the hand off with ease, returning the gesture.
As Zitao's hand returned to its previous position as if you never did anything about it, a determined look snuck itself onto Kyungsoo's eyes, his hand grabbing one of the mittens before slipping it on. He grabbed the tray again - with one hand this time - and started to pull at it.
You frowned with the knowledge of how heavy their trays were, "Maybe you should use both - "
Before you even got to finish your sentence the tray started slipping from his mitten-covered hand, the other one instantly flying to save the falling object only to be greeted with the flaming material, a pained scream tearing itself from the singers throat as the tray fell down, making a pretty loud racket.
You were by the boy's side in an instant, one hand grabbing the wrist of his now injured hand as the other lead him towards the stall behind him by his shoulder.
"Oppa, are you alright?" He looked away from your concerned eyes as tears sparked in his, his teeth nailed tightly into his bottom lip as he tried (and failed) to control them from breaking out of his eyelids. You groaned, "How could you be so careless to drop it down like that?"
He made no move to answer you as he just sat there breathing, his pulse quick and painfully aware of his pain, moving right beneath your fingers. You shook your head, opening his fingers as carefully as you could, softly blowing on the quickly reddening skin there in an attempt to calm it down. Zitao was nowhere to be seen around the room, probably ran off to find the cream Kyungsoo's going to need desperately in the next week or so.
His eyes were on you when you lifted your own once again. "You have some bandages around here, right?"
He nodded, head gesturing to his left. "Next to the cake icing," he instructed with a tears struck voice, his eyes closing a bit. You found it quickly, returning to his side just as Zitao entered the room once again, setting the burns cream on the island's surface with a simple, "I'm sorry." before turning on his heal and leaving again without a second glance.
You grabbed the cooling material, opening the lid and spreading it across the cool bandages before bringing it to his hand again, the fingers moving on their own this time. "What's he has to be sorry about anyways," you muttered as you carefully wrapped it around his hand, biting your lips in concentration as you pulled every bit of focus you had on being aware to him, in case you were causing him any pain.
He chuckled, the sound of his voice sounding less pained this time around. "He picked on me again."
"When?" You peaked at him, raising an eyebrow.
"_____," he said your name softly, looking away once again. You gave him time as you tied the edges of the bandage on the back of his hand, the fingers twitching slightly when coming in contact with yours. "He told me you haven't noticed, so I have to spell it out for you." He took a short breath, his eyes finally locking with yours with complete intention. "I've been trying to impress you, ever since you told Junmyun you liked a manly man. Every time I try, the rest laugh. And when no one's there to laugh," he gave his head a shake, moving those big orbs to look down at his now bandaged hand. "I made fun of myself."
You stared. A little. "You what?"
Redness crept from his neck to his cheeks. "Like you," he choked out, clearing his throat right after.
You chuckled, slipping your fingers into his good hand. His eyes flashed at you like headlights, a tinkle shining inside them that made your stomach dissolve into small fireworks, going off behind your eyelids like a full blown parade of butterflies and rainbows.
"A little tip for the future though," you were just as red as he was now. "Holding a tray with one hand, is not a way to impress a girl."
He gave a short laugh, nodding as his fingers closed down on yours, holding your hand tightly in his own. "I'll try to keep that in mind in the future."
