SPRING FEVER. [hyorin.]
[Character Development.] SUMMER time these recent years has called Starship Entertainment's female four force SISTAR out to play. Their songs are musts in every fun, seasonal playlist, and the girls hope to continue that streak with their upcoming return. Kim Hyojung is no exception, of course. Summertime for her means anything but playtime. Putting in work when she was blessed with the opportunity to was something that she took anything but lightly. Hyorin always valued her job, and she worked right hard at it. However, this preparation season means being home. Aside from shoots and filming, the studio and the practice rooms are her sanctuaryâor, her prison, depending on perspective and the day itself. Even being able to come home to her cats is a counted blessing in the midst of all of her craziness. Recording and album prep meant reasonable distances from home, also meaning days she could wake up in her own bed, even if she crawled into it just thirty minutes before. For her, this also means good company. She would steal away moments to mingle with loved ones close to home before her life means schedules and traveling again. She is particularly sentimental about those close to her as a child, ergo her visits home to her mother are encouraged and accompanied by the flowers that bloom all around. Spring transitions the dead earth into new life. Hyorin hopes the winds of change bless her with the same. Determination only gets you so far nowadays. Faith, and faith that even through storms and fire, life looks up... that is a weapon Hyorin holds above everyone else that no one seems to hold a light to. She has had numerous tattoos in her claim to faith and if her success isn't proof enough, then her joy itself is her loudest shout of glory to her God. The way her hope brightens a room, despite the whip of her sharp tongue, is something so rare that it attests to the supernatural. Little Hyorin, though smitten by the divine, is always prone to wander. Sure, she says what she thinks. Sure, she's seemingly confident. Even so, she still lives in a culture where the scrutiny bares down like no other. They want to kill her light, just because her skin is darker, or her voice is raspier, and her face is wider. Odds like that take a toll on a girl, but she doesn't miss a beat. When her life is in the hands of who made and controls the very universe, she comes to terms with events accordingly to know, as the book of James says, her life is always purposeful and trials are there to strengthen her. And so now here we find Hyorin in the midst of change once again. She finds comfort in the support of her loved ones, though scarce in number, they piece her heart together. Winter was cruel and Spring is anything but gentle, but so long as things progress, she'll breathe in faith and bounce back just fine. ...right?
