“I’ll tell my manager not to bother me or make any other plans for me that day. Because on February 14th,” He took her hand on put it on himself. “I’m yours.”

She was watching him with an amused smile but when he suddenly took her hand she seemed to get just slightly flustered while her hand was on him and the words that came right after. Soon Hyosung took a step closer and pressed softly her hand on his chest. “You’ll be all mine~”

Hakyeon handed her the mug of chamomile and honey tea then sat on the opposite end of the couch with a mug for himself. He gave her a soft smile and nodded. “That’s fine. You don’t have to tell me anything. What kind of music do you like?” He asked as he reached for a remote to turn on the home sound system.

Holding the mug between her hands she let her face above it, the hot steam going directly to her skin before she looked back at him just in time to see the smile on his lips. Hakyeon was too much of a nice guy, she wondered when he was going to grow tired of her bullshit. “Thank you for that...” She smiled softly. “Hm... anything really? Some ballads? I think I can’t listen to dancy music right now.”

“Aigo. Did you wake up feeling extra cheesy today? Or is this your natural state? I don’t know anymore~” She chuckled softly.

He really hoped it wouldn’t be awkward between the two of them. Maybe he’s the one that made it awkward. But trying to be nonchalant that he was avoiding her made it more awkward. Why did he have to set himself up like this? “What? I-I don’t know what you’re talking about, Hyosung.” He crossed his arms and leaned against a lightpole, missed, and almost fell backwards. Hakyeon regained his posture and shuffled his foot into the sidewalk. “I don’t know what you mean.”

Maybe Hyosung should expect that from the start. That things would change after that night, that the friendship that was in construction might have crumbled by how uncomfortable she seemed to be around her now. She watched the other struggling to act like everything was the same between them, and the way he clumsily fell backwards would have made her laugh if she wasn’t so tense. “Let’s not act like that never happened because we can’t do it clearly... I just... I didn’t want that to destroy everything. I mean...” She let out a sigh. “I am not gonna force anything, I don’t want to make you uncomfortable.”

“Wait, what? Whyyy?” Michiko whined childishly. There was nothing wrong with her clothes, at least Michiko thought so. They were all comfy. It wasn’t like she goes out the house a lot. All of her nicer clothes, she would only wear them to dinner parties or business meetings she attends on a occasion. “They’re all fine! Plus, I like being comfy and having clothes to wear in the lab, not worrying about them getting ruined. And it’s not like I go out all the time. Only time I really go out is for work…or bot fights, why would I wear something nice to a bot fight?!”

Hyosung shook her head as the other whined. “I’m sure they are fine, but I can bet you have some that you don’t even use! And you keep so many clothes that soon it will explode. You could get some and even donate maybe?” Hyosung exageratted on that, but in her defense indeed there were a bunch of clothes. “I mean, why not wearing something nice for a bot fight? not like you gotta put on some fancy stuff. But what about trying something other than sweatshirts? Again, not judging your style. Just... you know for a change? You might like it too!"

“Like look at me….totally not my day” Soojung whined as she watched herself through her phone. “My hair is a mess and it looks like I haven’t slept for centuries…” She sighed heavily and put down her phone to look at the other. “Can’t I like, have your face and hair?”

Hyosung watched the other whine and complain about her looks, she understood somedays you just wouldn’t be happy with your appearance. “To be honest, your hair looks good to me! But about your looks... Have you been sleeping actually? You seem tired...” Hyosung said sitting by her side and taking another sip of her water. “Come on, neither my face or my hair are that good... I just look less messy because I have a make up on.”

“I am allowed to aren’t I?” Maybe he was being a little childish with this situation and may have purposely given the girl currently on the dance floor a little too much attention, knowing Hyosung was there as well but he was a man with a big ego. He was just trying to repair it by showing that he had moved on.

“Totally...” Hyosung said while lifting her eyebrows slightly while taking a sip of her drink. Maybe she said that to tease him but maybe she did feel bothered, again she had to remind herself htat she whould keep her mouth shut. At that point they probably started a silent battle of egos. “Should I go there and tell her you’re interested then? You know, to make it quicker.” The dancer tried her best to not sound bitter about that.

“Uh huh. Y’make a habit of kissin’ people cos y’were drunk? Y’know how to make a guy feel special, huh.” Kit’s teasing was obvious in his tone and by the smirk on his face. He hadn’t expected to see her again after his drunken night out, nor for her to approach him and explain why they had exchanged a kiss or two that night. “It’s alright, love. Y’don’t need to explain y’self. It was just a bit of fun, right? I’m not expectin’ anythin’ more from you.”

“Kiss? Oh boy, sometimes it’s not even just a kiss. In the end no one feels special, but at least some make out and hickies next morning.” She said letting out a soft chuckle, now seeming comfortable again. After all Hyosung wasn’t one to feel ashamed of doing those stuff. “It was really fun though. But I’m sure you didn’t expect anything, it’s just that I might pop up quite often in these events because one of my friends is also a gamer... So yeah I didn’t want things to be awkward.”
