This is probably going to be one of my silliest posts but I imagine if you're familiar with type 1 diabetes maybe you'll understand.

This September marked 24 years since I was diagnosed with type 1, and it has been a long 24 years (I'm mostly under control thanks to my pump, but some days are harder than others). I've never tried to dwell on my illness, let it define me, or be envious of those lucky enough not to have it, but I often found myself jealous of anyone that could just...drink an entire glass of juice and not worry about blood sugar or taking enough insulin.

Yup. For 24 years all I've wanted is to drink juice without consequence. So dumb.

BUT GUESS WHAT?!

I found juice that actually tastes good and only has 1 gram of sugar per serving and I'm so excited. I've been enjoying it so much. It's so small and so silly, but it's a feeling of normalcy for me - something I'm more often than not not granted with this illness.

Anyway thanks for coming to my Ted talk about juice. I'll probably delete this later. 😂
