hans-ofthesouthernisles:
Hans was seated at the base of a large tree, away from the crowds and tents, book in hand. It didn’t look all that impressive, if anything, it looked much like the bible would, except instead of ‘Holy Bible’ spelled out on the front, the gold letters read ‘The Odyssey’. Homer had always been one of Hans’ favorite authors and definitely his favorite epic poet. The sun streamed through the leaves of the tree, and there was a soft breeze that kept him from getting too warm. As he flipped the page, a shadow fell over the book, and he finished the line before looking up. “Can I help you?” he asked casually, though his tone was a bit clipped.
Aurora smiles at the man, blushing a little bit at being caught in the act of trying to see what he was reading. She didn’t mean to be rude, but she her curiosity just wasn’t letting her settle. She also was open to new books to read. “I just wanted to see your book. I’ve never read that, even though it is a classic.”
adamxbeast:
A neon sign written with the words ‘Beast’ hunt outside a tent. Outside of that tent a few human beings scurried their way under it to the parking lot. Inside the tent, a man stood inside, disoriented and shirtless. He was crouching over with his head on the ground and his back was remarkably poking out in gecko shapes from his bones. The only sounds released from this man was deep tones of breathing.
Aurora was trying to let herself take a moment to check out all of the acts; something she tried to do countless times but never seemed to be able to find the time for. As she made her way from a quick peek at everything she noticed the Beast tent and how it was still slightly open. Didn’t he finish? Aurora wasn’t sure, still it couldn’t hurt to take a quick peek. When she looked inside she gasped, watching Adam--was it?--crouching on the ground. Silently, she walked over to the man, kneeling down next to him. “Are you alright?”
“Oh dear… This is not good. This is not good at all. He’s supposed to be right here.”
“Do you need help locating your grown-up?”
flynntheflirt:
“Guess i’m not that down on my luck to come by such a pretty girl as you - especially since you’re taking me home after such a short time together” he smiled, working his charm on the pretty blonde “What’s your name?”
“Aurora. We’ve met briefly before.” She gives him a small smile, unsure if she was amused or not. “You’re very charming.”
dariadisgust:
“Bad things? What bad things?”
“Nightmares. And sometimes my nightmares interfere with the other residents here...”
“Well hey now, calm down there sweetheart - we’ve only just met” he laughed at the person pulled him by the scarf round his neck
“Well, what can I say? When I see a man down on his luck I do whatever I can to make sure he gets home safe. So we are getting you home now.”
“Hey! Turn that disgusting music off, I’m dancing here and you just threw me off my rhythm.” Daria called out as she pulled a headphone out of her ear.
“Normally, I would, but I really need it for my relax-time,” Aurora explained quickly. “If I don’t do my routine....bad things happen.”
xlips-red-as-bloodx:
“Oh, yes. Aurora right. I remember that act from a long time ago. I’ve never been. I’ve never seen many of the acts here. Most of the time I’ve been at the bar or back at home.”
“Yes! So then you’re definitely Sarah? Why not explore the acts?”
xlips-red-as-bloodx:
Sarah blinked turning towards the girl, her dark hair falling in her face slightly. “How…how do you know that. Do people tell you. It seems like an thing. To tell you and to dream of.”
“I’m the Dreamer!” Aurora says, blushing a little bit. “Sometimes I see more than I want to and when my act isn’t going on. Kind of a bummer, but still. I’m not lying to you.”

“See, I don’t rightly know! It could be any-” Winnie was cut off as her stomach let loose a low rumbling noise, and her face lit up like a Christmas tree. “Oh, that’s right! I needed to get something to eat! Would you like to join me? I’d love the company. My name’s Winnie, by the way. I don’t believe I’ve introduced myself rightly yet, so here I am, doing it now!”
“I’d love to get food with you, Winnie! I’m Aurora, it’s very nice to meet you. Are you hungry for anything specific? Because I’ll eat anything, really.”
“What’s your purpose in disturbing me? This better be important, I specifically requested to be left alone today.”
“I’m sorry, I can stop by another time.”
“Oh, if only you could! I am indeed. I forgotten what it is that I needn’t forget, but I’ve gotten and forgotten it and…Oh bother…”
“Hmmm....Can I have a hint? Was it about a person, place, or thing?”
Bad Date || Rob & Aurora
Rob almost jumped as Aurora answered him. But instead, he smiled back to her and handed out his phone. It rang again, and Rob groaned loudly as he thought about the stalker girl. He wondered whether he could just hide from her. It had worked before.
Usually they didn’t ring him constantly though. “They must. Thank you lady knight.” Rob said as he saluted Aurora with a grin.
“I’ve never been called a knight before,” Aurora says with a chuckle. The phone rings again before Aurora can even tinker with it, and so she answers it, smiling sweetly into the phone. “Hello? Oh, this is his girlfriend. Yes, we’ve just became exclusive! Exciting right? Well, if you ring one more time I am going to have to report you to the authorities. Please stop ringing.”
She then hangs up the phone and looks at Rob. “Sorry, I can’t stand the insistent ringing.” She goes back to focusing on his phone, showing him how to pull up the girls number and properly block her. “Here. Just in case she didn’t get the hint still.”
“Honey, as much as I would love to see that side of you, I think you’re so hype aware of everything you do and the consequences that could come of it that you wouldn’t possibly let it control you. But if you want something to help with the nightmares and bad thoughts, something to help you get them under control, I’d suggest you ask one of the witches here to whip something up for you.” He finished his glass of wine, getting up to place it beside the bottle in case he wanted some later. Settling back down into his seat, he thought about her question a little before replying. “There’s more bad in this world than there is good. I’m sure if more people could find it in them to love and be happy and not let the anger or the sadness or fear take over, the happy and good feelings would have more power. People are naturally drawn to negativity. That’s why this place thrives so well. They want to see if they can be stronger than their fear or they secretly love the feeling. It’s just how we’re built.”
“I try really hard to be.” When he mentions the witches she bites her lip, looking up at him. “I’m not so sure I’m comfortable asking them. They are bust women and normally asking for something like that comes with a price. I’m not sure if I’d be willing to pay it, honestly.” She sips her wine some more, taking her sweet time with it. “People are so complex, aren’t they? What do you prefer? The darkness or the light? I don’t like to assume someone goes for one thing versus the other, so I’m curious. I personally wish more people saw the light...It’s harder to do sometimes, but I promise it is worth it.”
