I've always wanted a gingko leaf imprint fossil and I happened to find a small part of one in my recent lot of rocks I aquired. These ancient trees survived the last mass extinction when 96 percent of all life on earth perished. Looking for something more than status updates of facebook, beyond instagram selfies, beyond my regular journals. I am hungry to create my own original ideas instead of using pintrest.   I am in need of a new muse to capture trapped creativity because I am getting bored with the traditional confines of what I’ve been using.  Perhaps this will help, once I figure it out...  I need to learn how to mix my muses better; to combine my love of writing, photography, art and connecting with people.  Tumblr seems like a good platform where I can start to more of my deeper stuff out there.

Not your average housewife

How I love being a mother to my sons and being a wife to husband, however in the constant quest of self, I refuse to allow my roles as a mother and wife to be the definition of who I am... A lot of women cling to the confines of the duties of motherhood, never allowing themselves to truly question who they are. Uncomfortable in their own skin and no longer blossoming into their best possible self because of being so caught up in taking care of everyone and everything. I refuse to allow this to be me by taking time to make time, everyday continually carving away at that definition of self, that no one else can define. Time to build an empire but first I have to do the dishes...

why i love my journal over my blog

Wanting to escape into the pages of my journal, a place hidden from the eyes of the judging world.  A place where I am free to write how I truly feel, not with a filter or censor or forethought of what people may think.  I see myself giving more time to social media network than I should and not writing as much as I should, not creating the art I've always loved to make.  So the reason why this blog has yet to bloom is because technology needs less priority in my life and I need to get back to my roots.  Back to the passions that I truly love, feeding my creative desires that fulfill my soul.  Not looking for affirmation or validation of my thoughts, just a release.
