{🔧} “…” Honestly, Constanze is just as confused - she glances up at Sucy, a very soft pink dusting her cheeks.

Glancing over at the machine next to her, she taps it a few times, prompting a loud ding!

“SCAN COMPLETE. ‘METALLIC MUSHROOM’. SCAN SHOWS LESS THAN OPTIMAL METAL CONTENT - OUTSIDE OF MUSHROOM SEEMS TO APPEAR RUSTED, BUT IS PURELY FUNGI. POSSIBLE DEFENSE MECHANISM.”

… Well. That was a waste.

🍄 | “Aw damn.” She says quietly, looking at the machine not too impressed.

Shrugging solemnly, she turned to go out the door, deciding that she’d wasted enough of Constanze’s time as it was already. Shooting a final glance back at the other. 

“I’m going back to my dorm, just knock if you need me.”

{🔧} Eyes screwed shut, Constanze awkwardly takes each mushroom, setting them aside next to the machine still analyzing the first.

She was… gonna have to find a way to grow these that didn’t involve growing them out of someone’s arm.

Once they’re all gone, and Constanze can finally look at Sucy once more, the tiny witch nods vigorously - no more mushrooms needed, thank you.

She’d… probably dispose of these ones once she figured out how to make her own. She’s not sure she wants something grown from human flesh making up her inventions.

🍄 | A cold hand moves up to Constanze to gently move her fringe back, leaning down to give her a little kiss on the forehead before moving back.

....... wait what did she just do?

She blanks for a moment before shrugging gently. Blinking slowly at the machine, she laid a finger on the top of it, looking over at the other.

“Does it normally take this long?”

{🔧} Now, Constanze has seen plants grown on people before - like that one tiny Sucy turned Akko’s ponytail into a plant, and stuff like that, but…

This is something entirely new.

At the dent visible in Sucy’s arm, a good hard shudder runs through the smaller girl’s form, clear discomfort in her eyes as she reaches out to take the shroom from Sucy’s hand - she’s… gonna need the other witch to remove the mushrooms, and then… promptly cover her arm up until the weird dents are gone??

🍄 | She makes a mental note of the other witch’s discomfort before promptly plucking out each one with gentle fingers. Light, slender hands gently wrap around the head of the fungi before twisting it and with ease, it popped off, leaving yet another small dent.

Popping off each one, she handed them over to Constanze, there was a plenty amount of them, at least. Blinking, she rolled her sleeve down, wiping whatever was left of the other’s saliva on her other sleeve.

“Is that enough...?” She asks in her normal high pitched tone, seemingly unfazed by what just happened.

{🔧} Hmm… her scanner doesn’t seem to know what to make of the thing, besides that it’s made of metal. If it’s magical, it’s clearly a magic Constanze hasn’t had a chance to work with yet.

Before she can come to any real conclusions though, Sucy seems to have a… plan?

… Spit? Sucy wants her to…

… Whatever. After a moment of very confused hesitation, Constanze leans over, spitting into Sucy’s open palm. This had better be good.

Wait, nevermind.

Little sprouts begin to grow around the pale girl’s arm, an exact replica of the one she’d given to Constanze. Fungus after fungus, the mushrooms finally stopped sprouting at her arm joint.

Plucking one off, she holds it out to her friend, a tired gaze following after it. It seemed to leave a tiny dent, but that was all, it’d probably heal later anyways.

“Here, just take them off.”

{🔧} … Well, this is something else. Constanze, understandably, is used to working with metals, but… never anything like this.

Did the mushroom just look like metal, or was it a metal based fungi?

… Hm.

Hopping off of her bed, Constanze walks over to her desk, tapping a Stan Bot with her wand, transforming the thing into what looks like some kind of high tech oven.

The strange mushroom is tossed inside, and the door closed, the witch leaving her machine to scan the mushroom over.

🍄 | She follows after Constanze, slouching down to look at the machinery do its job, interested, even if it didn't show on her face.

“Wait.” 

She said monotonely, pulling her sleeve down and holding out a pale hand out to Constanze.

“Spit on it.”

{🔧} “…” As per usual, Sucy clearly didn’t pay nearly enough attention during whatever this week’s big adventure was - Constanze makes a note to ask Lotte later.

Finishing her last donut, Constanze reaches for her board again.

So did anything cool happen to you? Or just Lotte?

🍄 | “Me...? No, just Lotte. Nothing interesting happens to me, I don’t like getting involved.”

 Leaning on more, she huffs. Reaching into her blue vest pockets and withdrawing a small, metallic looking mushroom with green dotting it, pretty rusted.

“I got this though.”

 She holds it out to Constanze slightly, letting her examine it.

{🔧} Ah - so there’s more to it, huh? It only makes sense - witches seemed to attract trouble, especially outside of the school grounds.

Constanze seems to stop chewing for a moment, thinking. Annabel was… eight? But the books had been doing for what, a hundred years? More?

An eyebrow raised, Constanze swallows her food, before scribbling down another simple message.

8? The book series is 112 years older than its author?

🍄 |  She puts a finger to her chin thoughtfully, staring off into space for a moment before nodding gently to the other.

“Yeah, suppose so.” She leans on Constanze slightly, the finger that once made home on her chin now tangling through her hair slowly before shrugging.

“You’d be better off asking Lotte, personally. Night fall is her thing, not mine.”

{🔧} Convention? The only convention on today was… the Night Fall convention? Reaching for her blackboard, Constanze stuffs the rest of her donut into her mouth, before quickly scribbling down a message.

Did you get to meet Annabel?

Apparently Constanze also keeps up with the books. Not quite as well as Lotte did, but… Conz had read a few, at least.

🍄 | “Annabel’s the writer, right?” She asks drowsily. “Because if so, yeah, I guess you could say that. She basically forced a Legacy onto Lotte.”

There’s a blank expression on her face as she talks and it’s quite clear to tell that she’s somewhat tired after running around for the remainder of her day.

“Well, tried to. Amusing how she’s like, 8, huh?”

{🔧} Constanze doesn’t know that much sign language, so she doesn’t sign back, only replying with a silent nod as she reaches down for another donut.

If these three did something while they were out, Constanze wants the details. She’d normally try to go with them, but… obviously she’d been somewhat busy, today.

🍄 | Waiting for the other to stop rustling, she puts her hands in her lap, one holding the other gently. Sighing softly, she blinked over at the other gratefully.

“Well, we went to Town for some kind of convention for Lotte, who bought us tickets. She seemed quite excited, although I don’t know why, that book series of her’s can’t be that important?”

It almost sounded as if she was asking someone the last part, a gentle hand raising from her lap to gently scratch the underside of her chin.

“Then there was this big question and answer, I don’t know. It was going too fast for me to really understand most of it.”

{🔧} … All day? Glancing up at the clock, Constanze realizes she’d been sat in the same place for hours - it was nearly time for dinner…

Sighing, the witch finally puts her wand aside, closing the top of her Stanbot and letting it run off.

Making sure Jasminka isn’t around, Constanze pulls a donut from the bag, biting into it. As she chews, a hand pats the bed beside her, offering Sucy a seat.

Constanze obviously wouldn’t be saying much, but she figures Sucy’s probably been on some cool adventure today, as is the norm with Akko.

🍄 | She gives Constanze a blank stare for a second before slinking over to bed, beside her and gently planting herself down on it. Slouching over with her god-awful posture, she crosses her legs.

She sits silently for a moment before signing to Constanze “story?”, via snipping her hands between eachother, waiting for the other.

 Of course Sucy would use sign language for short sentences so she didn’t waste her voice.

{🔧} For… pretty much the entire day, Constanze has been sat in her room, just… building things. Nothing too big, since she’s not in her workshop, but… she’s gotta keep herself occupied - no classes today.

Magical or not, her welding torch is loud enough that she doesn’t hear anyone coming into her room - not when Akko comes in looking for Amanda, not when Jasminka comes in to retrieve her sweets - she almost doesn’t hear Sucy coming in next, but… she stops welding just in time, turning to the intruder.

She says nothing, but her expression alone asks a very aggressive ‘what do you want?’.

🍄 | She had been hoping to walk in, be somewhat warmly greeted by her friend. Turning to the smaller kid, she lets out a little hum.

“Don’t give me that look. I brought you food, you’ve been in here all day.” 

She mused matter-of-factly to the other. Tossing a somewhat grease-stained paper bag of donut, still warm, luckily enough. 

“Besides, I was in town with Akko and Lotte and thought I might as well bring you something back.”
