Raptor Escape game where players move dinosaurs around a park eating as many visitors as they can. Incredibly fun competitive play with great player interactions and a simple set of easy to learn mechanics.

Dark Worlds Boardgame Jam

As a small scale trial run, we ran a boardgame design competition in Fareham a couple of weekends ago. Three teams entered and the following images document their design process from choosing their theme from a bag all the way through their 4 hour 30 minute design/build/”playtest”.

The following are a series of photographs taken to capture the design process, the hard thinking, the unusual brainstorming and the blitz of cutting and sticking. Boardgamers are often shy people, i’ve strayed away from taking peoples portraits mostly, instead capturing their games in all their prototyped glory.

Empty Arcade

Still at the seafront, a nearly entirely empty arcade. How do these places stay open? Such a great location, especially for broken tech and glitchy old machines.
