griffin actually grew up pretty privileged !! he was adopted by two women who really wanted more in their life – they were well established in their career and had a very good marriage and tbh it was really the ideal family situation to be brought into as a four year old.
growing up he was always a golden boy of sorts. he was very good in his studies, a sports man, always had a girlfriend, looked out for people. he was like, perfect and there was always a lot of pressure on him.
in college it’s kinda where he fell apart for a bit. he got into partying and raging all the time and he just got rly rowdy nd fell off the train big time. he got himself back together but he never rly went back to being the golden boy, more like the dun dun bad boy who did just enough to succeed.
he kinda fit the dirt bag trope like he was always getting into trouble, picking fights with people, leaving a trail of broken hearts as he moved onto the next conquest – y’all know the typa character.
so time goes on, he becomes a cop (keep in mind this was b4 cops did crazy insane procedures before accepting u in case u were like oh wow that’s unrealistic), he was kinda rough around the edges as one. very intense, very scary but ultimately did it bc he was still the same old softie who wants to look out for everyone. but also did it bc he’s selfish and wanted to be untouchable ghfjgkh
so rewind about seven years and he meets a girl – their relationship is intense and passionate nd is v much a rush. it definitey wasn’t the best relationship hjkf they fought a lot, hurt each other (not physically dw) blah blah on and off again. but one day she calls him up and is like i’m pregnant :) and he’s like oh :)
long story short they agree to work on their relationship, but both decide they wanna raise the baby. ten months later she’s gone to the wind? elijah is hurt, pissed off, and clueless as to what he’s doing, and broke.
what does he do? he becomes a dirty cop? this syndicate looks pretty good!
fast forward, his daughter is six and she’s definitely changed him a lot. he’s stuck between who he used to be before college and who he’d kinda turned into
he’s a veryyyy very good father and sav comes first always – around her he’s very sweet and patient, he’s ridiculously fckn adorable i lov e it.
this has definitely pilled into his personality much more than it had six yrs ago. he’s like the tough big brother type bc of it. he’ll watch ur back nd care abt u but like in a lowkey lemme tease u abt it kinda way??. he’s v understanding, he tries to turn off his empathy but uh that rly doesn’t work like that so instead he puts a big face on
other than that kinda stuff he’s pretty trash still honestly, his daughter is looked after by his mothers quite a bit so he has time to be trash
he’s very like…. snarky??? it’s all those sarcastic quips and scoffs that make it, he’s definitely got an attitude but if u can keep up with it man ur hot 2 him
speaking of he’s def gone back to being the player he used 2 be tho like ik his bg makes it make sense lmaofjdoj, after what happened with his baby mama and now the idea of letting another partner meet his kid he’s like UH lemme have a million fuck buddies and flings, and indulge feelings for like three-eight months before getting scared of things getting real then break their heart
he gets into a lotttttt of tufts i’d imagine. his temper is truly like a hair trigger it rly doesn’t take much for him to be mad he’s so angsty he’s just looking for an excuse to fight tbh
dnt get me wrong like i said, he is a very caring guy it just takes a bit for him to show it and stuff
his daughter thinks of him as like a hero nd whenver she says stuff like that he’s so ashamed nd is so sad like he doesn’t like that he’s a bad dude esp since he’s got a heart of gold when it rly comes down to it :(((
he’s a prankster actually, he’s p stoic sometimes but u’d really be surprise when he leans over nd is like “hey u wanna have some fun nd fuck wt some people??????”
