This pertains in particular to the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area and Tekkoshocon people in general. There is a woman by the name of Cassie Lowe who has scammed a numerous amount of people through commissions. Please, read this thread below. She is continuing to do this without any consequences….
I will happily boost this as I’ve had numerous interactions with this person and I fully believe she is a compulsive liar—I don’t think she knows how to tell the truth. She gave me numerous stories when I confronted her about a friend’s commission, and she loves to claim that all screencaps of messages from her are “photoshopped.” As well as bringing up her baby every time people say anything negative about her to make people feel sorry for her. :/ People, do not give her money. She not only blatantly stole from a friend of mine, she sold my friend a “custom” piece that she bought from a Chinese shop (my friend found a link selling it, it was the EXACT same thing, no question about it) that was pretty goddamn hideous. She can’t sew for shit—she either buys parts for commissions or half assedly makes them in a fashion that is absolutely not worth money—if you actually get it…. Sorry about your trouble, OP. As ex-Tekko staff though, I have to say I’m really not surprised. Last I heard, she was still on staff despite all of this bullshit. They may claim it’s not related to how she handles staff things, but when it’s taking place in the community with plenty of evidence, then yeah, something needs to be done. I should be able to connect you to one of the higher ups that isn’t biased towards her, send me a message and I’ll see what I can do. They had a big turnover in staff recently and I know a few people who I consider legit. And that’s all the involvement I want, ahaha. They’d like the facts directly from the people involved on a first person basis in this case before professionally addressing it.
If you ask, I am certain that the board can keep your information confidential to their discussions if you don’t want to deal with drama/backlash from her.

SORRY AGAIN FOLLOWERS
I KNOW THIS IS A FEW YEARS LATE, BUT SHE IS CURRENTLY HARRASSING ME AND MY FIRENDS.
She is claiming that a friend of mine is doing blackface when cosplaying Esmeralda, when in reality, my friend (Millahwood) had a tan (cause we do get sun in Sweden as well, woah, I know), bad lightning that made her appear a bit darker, and used contouring.
We have been trying to get her to leave us alone. But she insists that tans are blackface, and what we really mean is that we magicaly turns into africans during summer (which is just ridiculous for her to even try and pretend that any of us said??).
I got so many screenshots on my phone, think I even managed to download/save her entire IG story about us.
She has us all on blocked, but keep posting screenshots of our stories trying to enlighten the facts, and just trying to cheer Millahwood up.
And it seems that she understood that she did indeed have a tan on these photos from 2014 and 2016, and that bad lightning is a thing that excists, and that she looks darker in some photos (she has olive-kind of skintone, which is very visible in most of these darker photos).
SO OFC SHE STARTS TO CLAIM THAT THE WIG IS NOW RACIST.
And refuses to explain why or how, and blocks everyone who questions her. And made up stories and people who had apperantly told Millah to “Stop coloring your skin!” and “Wash it off!!”, but these people are non-exsisting.
Cause you cannot wash off a real tan. Like no. Stop.
We need help with her. She’s under the name of goddess.persephone_ on IG right now, and we need all the people we can get to report her and take the account and story down.
She’s harming several reputations, defaming, harrassing, bullying and pushing people down.
It’s been 3 looong days of all of this.
Please help us end this. She can’t just accuse people of doing black face when they’re obviously not doing it.
Black face shouldn’t be taken lightly, and shouldn’t be tossed around like that. There are people out there doing legit black face, and those are the people we need to focus on.
She’s damaging the cosplay community. Badly.
