Initially speaking, the sound of a child was what brought Frederick towards the source of the noise so quickly. To see and hear three armed men chip away at a tree with weapons was a sight and sound that only helped reduce his search time before he was behind all three at once. With one sweep of his lance, the three were soon apprehended as he made word of the knight regiment soon coming for their heads for encroaching onto royal territory. No sooner did they flee like wild rats before Frederick turned his attention upwards.Ā
Only to find himself shocked at the sight before him. This having been the apparent source and cry for helpāa child or.. at least.. what he thought was one. The fact of the matter was: That was a goat. A supposed talking goat. Nothing about him even seemed to resemble Taguel.. which most likely meant he had been a stray or a wanderer from the Gates (to which he had most graciously made a sign for therein after).Ā
Placing the lance at his back, he would look up at the young boy before holding out both of his arms, giving him a stern yet comforting look.Ā
ā Make your way down as you see fit and try to enter my arms if you can. There is no need to worry. Iāve no sworn oath to apprehend a child.Ā ā If thatās what they even were.Ā
The trio of bandits werenāt very smart. Some part of Asriel (deep) within him sneered at how easily theyād been dispatched, and for a fleeting moment, he thought about human SOULs--
Ah, but he didnāt fight anymore. Not ever, if he could help it. He looked down at his savior--a steadfast man with a magnificent warhorse--and he couldnāt hold back his delighted gasp of glee.
He looked so...cool!
Okay, right, right, back to the situation. Asriel hesitated before he kicked off of the tree, falling a bit ungracefully into the arms of the knight. He offered the human a sheepish smile as he wriggled, not satisfied until his feet were back on the ground. Once that happened, he clapped his hands together and beamed at him.
āGosh, what a lucky save...! I donāt think I did anything wrong...did I? I-I was just traveling, and they came across me...I canāt thank you enough, sir. They were talking about selling me at the market!ā
The wayward prince offered him a bow.
