Weak Hero Characters Crushing on Reader With Curly Hair pt.2
Part two of Weak Hero characters crushing on a reader with curly hair.
Whether it’s teasing that slowly turns into affection, awkward attempts at compliments, or characters secretly becoming obsessed with your curls, each boy reacts differently to the one thing you’ve always been insecure about.
Some are soft about it. Some are terrible at expressing themselves. Others completely deny their feelings while staring way too hard.
But one thing stays the same.
Your curls always catch their attention.
Teasing, insecurity about appearance, mentions of bullying, awkward flirting, slight toxic behavior from certain characters, jealousy, possessiveness, crack humor, and light cursing.
Baekjin was a serious person.
Nobody dared to piss him off or set him off. He was the leader of the Union after all. People respected him. Or maybe feared him more than respected him.
So when Baekjin suddenly started smelling like coconut and shea butter products all the time, people began wondering what the hell was going on.
It started when Baekjin was on his way to the bowling alley.
The bowling alley that everyone knew was being used for money laundering.
Baekjin was always aware of his surroundings. He could tell whenever the atmosphere shifted even slightly. So the moment he opened the door and smelled something sweet mixed with coconut and hair products, he noticed immediately.
At first he thought one of the members got a new cologne.
The Union members quickly straightened up when they noticed him entering. You stood awkwardly near the corner while your friends talked with some of the boys there. Your curly hair was down and you kept twirling a strand around your finger while looking painfully uncomfortable.
Baekjin kept staring at you.
“I said no new faces until things settle down”
His voice was cold enough to make you flinch slightly.
One of the members quickly whispered for your group to leave.
Your friends grabbed your arm and began pulling you toward the exit.
Your soft apology reached him as you walked past.
Baekjin caught another whiff of your hair products as you passed by him.
Later that week Baekjin entered the bowling alley again and immediately smelled it.
Without realizing it, he found himself looking around for you.
He corrected himself immediately.
Then he spotted you sitting alone while your friends laughed with some Union members nearby. You looked bored out of your mind.
You suddenly felt someone staring and looked up.
You gave him an awkward little smile before quickly looking down at the floor.
Baekjin looked away first and continued walking.
Later that night Baekjin sat at his desk solving math problems when Seong-je walked into the room.
Baekjin remembered seeing you wearing the same uniform as Seong-je.
“Do you know a girl with curly hair at your school”
He didn’t even look up while asking.
Seong-je smirked immediately.
“Asking about a girl now? Didn’t think you were the type to—”
Baekjin cut him off instantly.
“Y/n. Everyone at school knows her because of her hair”
“Why are you asking about her”
“She’s always around Union members lately”
Seong-je hummed knowingly.
“Find out more about her”
That finally made Seong-je laugh quietly.
“You like her or something”
Baekjin finally looked up at him.
“No. She looks suspicious. She suddenly appears around the Union out of nowhere. She could be planning something”
His expression stayed completely serious.
Seong-je still looked amused.
A few days later Baekjin was walking home when he noticed a group of guys following him.
Probably looking for a fight.
He stayed calm and turned into an alleyway on purpose. He dropped his backpack onto the ground before immediately throwing punches without hesitation.
By the time he finished, everyone was on the ground.
He turned to grab his backpack when he suddenly heard a loud thud behind him.
Baekjin turned quickly, ready to hit whoever got close, only to freeze slightly when he saw you standing there holding your backpack tightly with shaky hands.
One of the guys was collapsed on the floor beside you.
He thought he knocked that one out already.
A mistake he wouldn’t make twice.
Then realization hit him.
“Well he was about to sneak up on you and I just… reacted”
You looked embarrassed immediately after saying it.
Baekjin stared at you silently.
“Just so you know, you didn’t save me”
His voice was cold again while he fixed his collar.
“And I don’t owe you anything”
You looked down slightly.
You said it so softly that he almost didn’t hear it.
But afterward he couldn’t stop thinking about it.
Were you trying to gain his trust?
Did you think acting sweet with your soft voice and pretty curls would make him lower his guard?
He was smarter than that.
At least that’s what he kept telling himself.
Still, somehow he found himself scrolling through your Instagram later that night.
Seong-je had sent him your account.
Every picture looked warm and lively. Your curls stood out in every single post.
And he noticed something else too.
Your friends always had boys hanging off their shoulders in pictures.
Baekjin stared at that longer than he should’ve.
After that he started taking different routes home to avoid seeing you.
Yet somehow you were always there.
Or at least your scent was.
One night he spotted you sitting alone at a bus stop.
Your head slowly tilted downward.
Without really thinking about it, he walked over and tapped your shoulder.
You blinked awake slowly.
“You’re going to miss your bus”
“Oh crap. Thank you Baekjin”
Of course you did. He was well known around the area.
Still… hearing you say it felt different.
“Why are you always alone”
You looked surprised by the question.
“All my friends have boyfriends now so they don’t really hang out with me anymore”
He asked it so casually that you almost laughed.
You pointed toward your curls.
Baekjin looked genuinely confused.
“Guys don’t really like curly hair”
Baekjin stayed quiet for a moment.
You looked up at him with a small smile.
“Oh really? Maybe you should introduce me to them”
Baekjin stayed completely expressionless.
“Do you not like your hair”
The blunt question caught you off guard.
You looked down at your lap.
Baekjin looked at your curls for a second before speaking again, quieter this time.
You slowly looked back at him.
“It’s different. Different things are good sometimes”
The second the words left his mouth, he looked away with a slight grunt like he regretted saying them.
Then your bus finally arrived.
And before you could answer, he walked away.
Oh he definitely made fun of your curly hair.
There was absolutely no way he didn’t.
Back in elementary school, you would wear your hair in tight buns trying to keep everything neat, but there would always be one curl slipping out no matter what you did.
Yeong-bin would pull at it and laugh.
He was loud, annoying, and always found some way to tease you. You still remembered your teachers laughing it off with that stupid line.
“Boys tease girls they like”
By high school you still resented him.
Luckily you hadn’t seen him since elementary school. You had changed schools after a while because the teasing got too overwhelming.
One afternoon you sat at the bus stop waiting to head home when you heard a group of loud guys nearby.
You glanced over absentmindedly before immediately freezing.
You quickly stood up and started walking toward the other side of the street hoping he didn’t notice you.
You heard his laugh instantly.
Then footsteps behind you.
You sighed heavily before turning around.
He looked older now. Taller too.
Still annoying apparently.
“Damn. Haven’t seen you since elementary school”
His eyes scanned over you casually.
Then his eyes landed on your curls and he laughed.
You scoffed immediately and turned to walk away.
He jogged after you and grabbed your wrist lightly.
You immediately yanked your arm away.
“What the fuck do you want”
“Woah calm down. I just wanted to catch up”
You stared at him in disbelief.
“Look I was a dick back then… and honestly I still kinda am”
At least he was self aware.
“But I actually do wanna talk to you”
You narrowed your eyes suspiciously.
Yeong-bin suddenly held out his phone toward you.
“Come on. What’s your Instagram”
You hesitated for a second before finally typing it in.
Mostly because you wanted him gone.
“Yep. See you around y/n”
Then he casually walked away like he didn’t just ruin your mood completely.
You stood there completely confused.
Time passed and somehow Yeong-bin became even more annoying online.
Every time you posted a picture, he had something to say.
“Do you even brush your hair”
You constantly left him on seen.
Then he’d double text immediately after.
One day you finally got fed up.
You posted a cute picture on your story and not even two minutes later he replied with another comment about your hair.
“Why the fuck did you even ask for my Instagram? Grow up”
Then you blocked him instantly.
You felt amazing afterward.
Until a new account followed you the next day.
“I’m sorry it was a joke”
You rolled your eyes hard before replying.
“It wasn’t funny. Grow up”
A few minutes passed before another message appeared.
“Look I actually like your hair okay”
Then another text came through immediately after.
“I just never know what to say around you”
You stared at the screen suspiciously.
Did he actually mean that?
Meanwhile on the other side of the phone, Yeong-bin bit his lip nervously while staring at the chat.
He still wanted to talk to you.
If you unblocked him on his main account…
He’d stop with the stupid jokes this time.
You always knew who Kang Woo-young was.
He was popular online, good looking, funny, and constantly surrounded by girls. So naturally, when you followed him on Instagram, you expected absolutely nothing back.
Which is why you nearly dropped your phone when he followed you back.
You stared at the notification for way too long before smiling to yourself and returning to your studying.
After that, you started posting more pictures here and there.
Just random selfies, food, school pictures, and occasionally photos where your curls were actually cooperating with you.
You had never met Woo-young in person before, but seeing his username constantly pop up in your story views became weirdly exciting.
Never replied to your stories.
Eventually you started overthinking.
Maybe he liked girls with straight hair.
You stared at yourself in the mirror for a while before finally deciding to straighten your curls one day.
Or maybe because you wanted his attention.
You posted a picture with your hair straightened and immediately kept checking your phone every few minutes.
You opened it ridiculously fast only to realize it was your friend replying instead.
Your excitement instantly disappeared.
Woo-young viewed the story.
But said absolutely nothing.
You rolled your eyes dramatically and tossed your phone onto your bed.
You’d just find another guy to obsess over.
Later that day you headed to a café and the second you walked in, you froze.
Actually standing there in real life.
Your eyes widened before you immediately turned around, planning to leave before he noticed you.
What you didn’t know was that Woo-young absolutely hated your newest post.
He had spent months looking at your curls through pictures and videos. That was what made you stand out to him in the first place.
He saw girls with straight hair every day.
One afternoon you were hanging out with your friend when she suddenly told you she had to head home early.
You sighed but told her it was fine before walking off by yourself.
As you turned the corner, you accidentally bumped into someone.
You looked up immediately.
Woo-young looked just as surprised.
For a few awkward seconds neither of you spoke.
Then he tilted his head slightly.
“You’re the girl from Instagram right”
You suddenly felt nervous for no reason.
Woo-young looked at your curls for a second before looking back at your face.
You blinked in surprise before instinctively twirling one of your curls around your finger.
Woo-young bit the inside of his cheek slightly before speaking again.
“I’ll give you a shoutout during my next stream”
You looked confused immediately.
“No! I mean… I don’t mind”
He chuckled softly at your panic.
“You know, I’ve been wanting to do a stream where I train somebody”
Your eyes widened slightly.
“Would you be interested?”
Woo-young smiled back a little before nodding.
“I’ll DM you about it later. Look out for that message y/n”
Then he waved casually and walked away.
You stood there completely stunned.
Not only did Kang Woo-young know who you were…
Seok-dae always kept his hair tied up.
He wasn’t the type to care much about it either. Most days he just threw it into a bun and used whatever shampoo or conditioner happened to be around.
So when he noticed a girl standing in the curly hair aisle muttering to herself in front of a mirror about her “frizzy hair,” he got curious.
At first it was just random sightings.
You standing in front of shelves full of hair products while complaining to your friend about how expensive everything was.
“This tiny bottle is thirty dollars?!”
Seok-dae found himself lingering around the aisle longer than necessary just to listen to your little rants.
Every now and then you’d notice him nearby.
And Seok-dae would give you a small nod before walking away like he totally wasn’t waiting around just to see you.
One afternoon you were walking around town on your way to meet a friend when something in a shop window caught your eye.
A magazine advertisement.
A girl with perfectly straight silky hair.
You stopped walking and stared at it for a moment before sighing softly.
“I wish my hair looked like that”
“Muttering to yourself again?”
You jumped slightly and turned around fast.
Seok-dae stood there with his hands in his pockets while looking slightly amused.
You laughed awkwardly while placing a hand over your chest.
“I’ve been wanting to ask you something”
You looked up at him curiously.
“How do you get your hair so shiny?”
Obviously he didn’t actually care about hair products that much.
He just wanted an excuse to talk to you.
Still, you immediately lit up.
“Oh! I use oils mostly. And leave-in conditioner. Plus curl creams and—”
You kept talking excitedly while Seok-dae listened quietly.
Or at least pretended to listen.
In reality, he was mostly staring at you.
At the way your curls framed your face.
At the way your hands moved while explaining things excitedly.
At the way your eyes brightened whenever you talked about something you liked.
You got so caught up explaining products that you didn’t even notice how much time passed.
Then suddenly your eyes widened.
“Oh crap. I was supposed to meet my friend!”
You looked embarrassed immediately.
Then after a short pause he finally asked,
You repeated his name quietly to yourself before smiling again.
Seok-dae thought hearing his name from you sounded way nicer than it should’ve.
