hello if anyone from the old group stumbles upon this blog! i have been missing for 5000 years but if anyone looks me up for old times sake and sees this i wanna say you guys were great and i had a lot of fun with you all im sorry for disappearing into thin air college was hard but i graduated somehow!!!

if anyone wants it here’s my personal. i hope you all are doing well and happy and healthy!!! i know it was for a short time, but thanks for being the best part of 2012 and taking a leap on this group britty started. (we still talk and she still means the world to me if anyone was wondering)

anyway this is probably just rambling into the void but im in my feelings lol and to quote fallout boy, thanks for the memories (except they really were that great)

You're sitting alone at the bar, like usual. Drinking your signature drink when you're approached by a woman who looks like she belongs to one of Dirk's animes. Wait, did she just speak another language at you? You're too intoxicated to understand what's going on.

For someone who doesn’t drink very often, you seem to spend an awful amount of time at bars. You wonder why. It’s not like you talk to anyone or make… “friends”. You just kind of lurk around, glaring back at anyone who dares to make eye contact with you. Maybe you follow someone after they leave and kill them then. Even then though, you don’t really do much.

But for some reason you’ve been struck by the urge to play pool tonight.

After only really half a seconds consideration, you decided why the fuck not? You had the time to kill, you had money to waste, and you probably weren’t going to be doing much else. All signs pointed to playing a couple of rounds.

And, as it turned out, you were actually pretty damn good at the game. Not that it was surprising, considering your natural prowess at many things. That combined with the fact that some of the guys you were playing against were too tipsy or angry to play properly, it eventually came to a point where it wasn’t even a game anymore. It was just unrivaled victory. 

You guessed that your winnings should have pleased you, but honestly it was just more shit that you’ll have to carry around. You were even almost growing bored of this constant victory. You mean, you’ll still probably keep playing and beating everyone, but it wouldn’t be too terrible if some new challenger came along.

You swore off drinking, but quitting cold turkey was hard and you thought one more night of partying couldn't hurt, right? Plus, life was so much more fun when intoxicated.

You sit up at the bar, cranberry vodka martini in hand, and scope the place out. Sometimes shifty things happened and you needed to stay alert.

And there he is stand around the pool table all by himself. Seems he scared everyone away. You stand and make your way over to the table, grabbing a pool cue and a smirk on your face.

You smile when his sentence fades out. About time he finally understood how you felt. Maybe now you could revoke his “king of oblivos” title. No, no. He was still doofus. A cute doofus, but a doofus nonetheless.

You look over his movies and your eyes are drawn to Spiderman. You remember nights of staying up late in front of your gamecube and getting trashed while swinging through the streets of New York. Fighting Venom was always the worst because trying to tell the difference between him and Spiderman with vodka goggles on was pretty tough. Somehow you always ended up losing when you were sure you were winning. But you remind yourself that you are at Jake’s so you take Avatar out of the pile. Spiderman will have to wait.

You get a bit flushed for a second when she picks Avatar and mentions your infatuation with dames of a cerulean complexity to their skin. Not that it was a big deal to you. But you can’t let her know about how Neytiri is one of the best of their persuasion. Curse to Cameron for enjoying the color of blue the same as you. 

“… Ah. Ah haha. The one about my blue babes. Thats so rich i might have to get a cavity. Like i have a thing about blue babes. Entirely poppycock and ridiculous!”

You open up the case, though, and get up to put the disc into your player. Blu-Ray. The only way to enjoy blue is on Blu. You do like blue. One day you hope you’ll be able to blue yourself, or maybe even someone you care about.

Then as the movie starts getting through the trailers you go and get the pizza and more hesitantly, the bottle of vodka with some glasses. You suppose you’ll just limit Roxy to a glass or two so you don’t give into her habits that much. Getting the monkey off one’s back was harder if you take them through the zoo.

You move back to the couch and nudge the movie cases to the end of your coffee table with the pizza box to set it down and pour Roxy a sort of small glass of vodka. You’re not a gentleman if not accommodating. You hand her the glass then just… put your arm around her shoulder. As per what you’ve learned from the greatest romance movies of the 80s.

“So have you seen this before? I know its a rather long feature so im not sure how much wed be able to just start with it and continue with anything else.”

You give him a skeptical look. Was he really trying to deny his obsession? You've seen his room and his posters and hell even the way he lights up when Avatar is mentioned. Nothing gets past you.

You laugh before grabbing a slice of pizza and gladly take the glass from him. You take a sip and the liquid feels good going down your throat. Some habits die hard, you guess. But you'll be on your best behavior because you are a lady of class and this is a date.

When he puts his arm around you you smirk and move in closer. Apparently he had some moves, which is good because you didn't want to do all the work. Just because you're cute doesn't mean you can get away with doing nothing.

In an attempt to hide a twitch, he rolled his eyes in an as exaggerated manner as possible. Fuck this chick. He decided that he liked Jane better, as far as the ladies go in their little alpha group. And he meant that in a completely platonic way too, with absolutely no hidden meanings or subplots. None at all.

In all of this mental musing and sorting out feelings, he completely forgot to provide a retort.

You fade out the rest of your sentence as you touch your cheek for the time it takes you to close the door and sit next to Roxy on the couch.

You lean forward a bit to pick up a small pile of movies on your coffee table, assorted with obvious classics of films. Avatar, Weekend at Bernie’s, Spider-Man, Last Crusade… all true examples of great film, including some other things in case her tastes were that much different than your’s. You are nothing if not a gentleman and adaptable to your lady friends’ whims! You look over at Roxy and hold your hands with the pile out for her to select something.

“Theres movies kind of obviously. I mean we could go out but i dont think youd want to. I did order pizza! I dont know if you like it but if you do then i suppose by zeuss beard ive got it right.”

You stare at the top of your mini movie pile for a second before beaming up at her.

“It is good to see you again. So whatever you feel like! Ill oblige you.”

Once you consider yourself perfectly dolled up you apply one more coat of your signature black lipstick before heading out the door. And then go back inside because you forgot to turn the coffee maker off.

The drive to Jake’s house was a lot smoother than it usually was. However, usually you had a head full of vodka when you made the drive. Not quite a head full of vodka, but just barely under the legal limit. Driving sober is great, you should do it more often.

You arrive at his doorstep and smooth out your skirt before knocking. A lady always has to look presentable.

It’s honestly been pretty long since you’ve been able to see any of your friends. Feels like longer than it really was to you, as well, which didn’t help and just made the sight of any of them that much more warming. You let her down after a bit and release her.

You step to the side and gesture her to come inside to begin the night.
