Christmas White Hot Chocolate
With winter here, why not stay in side and drink instead of going out to brave the colds. While I was only prompted to attempt one of the following variations, I had to much time to think it over in my head and found more flavours that would also work with the chocolaty goodness of this drink.
4 cups Dairy ( milk, cream, heavy cream) 8oz/250g white chocolate chips 1 tsp Vanilla extract 1oz of any of the following: Peppermint Schnapps, Grand Marnier, Disaronno.
If you plan to make whipped cream from scratch, do so first and put it in the fridge. Add an extra dash of booze you plan to use to it if you want to "enhance" the flavours.
Take 4 cups dairy (we did 3 cups 2% milk, and 1 cup heavy whipping cream) and add them to a pot. Add the vanilla and chocolate chips. Bring to simmer. Add to your glass. Add one once of your desired liquor to the mix. Top with whipped cream. Garnish with Candy Canes for peppermint, Orange zest for the Grand Marnier, or almonds and caramel if using Disaronno.
Even if you don’t add the alcohol, this is still a delicious drink. Creamy, chocolaty, and reminds you of Christmas.
