and Nina! They’re insane 😂 Charles and max, but especially Charles 😂 they’re both insanely in love and and Charles is super oblivious! Please be kind to Pierre and save him from their ridiculousness lol and max! He’s just trying to move on but alas, Charles is always there 😂
I also loved Pierre’s description of his bff ! dramatic little prince and teary-eyed devil and ugly crier - that’s Charlie 😍
Hi Anon 🤭
Cosmic Love Cosmic Insanity AU: Part 1
Pierre is legit sitting on a lawn chair with a bottle of limoncello and a plate of prosciutto-wrapped melon while Max and Charles are climbing all over each other and aggressively vowing their eternal devotion because oh my god, you two fucking losers 🙄🙄🙄
He truly is the strongest solider because others would have just thrown their hands together and given up.
But not Pierre, not Pierre-fucking-Gasly, the best friend of Charles Leclerc and the ex-teammate of Max Verstappen. Oh no. He's been too closely involved in this madness since Day 1, when these two psychos would yell at each other during karting tournaments but then:
Max punching another karter in the face after they called Charles "weak" and "soft." He receives a 10 place grid drop and a black mark on his record. Max's response? "Worth it."
Charles burying another karter's helmet in icy cold mud after they called Max "an aggressive asshole who doesn't deserve to kart." He gets a stern talking to from the Young Karters' Association but once that's over, Charles simply goes to bicker with Max some more.
Pierre has literally been on the ground, in the trenches, suffering for decades and the second he thinks some progress might be made (e.g., Max getting a girlfriend), we take 5,000 steps back (e.g., Charles throwing the biggest tantrum known to man and Max deciding no one is more important than his childhood rival turned coworker turned friend) 🙃
I guarantee you there's been periods where Pierre and Kika are scheming to get Max and Charles together because the absolute lunacy they cause separately is somehow worse than when they're together 😭😭
Pierre definitely gets a call from Charles a few days after the Girlfriend™️ debacle and when he picks up his phone, Charles is all bubbly and happy and telling his bestie that:
"Max surprised me with a holiday at the Maldives and we spent every day sunbathing and swimming and cycling around the resort." A dreamy sigh. "He bought me so many pretty bikinis and I got to wear every single one of them, even the sheer sparkly one because Max chartered a yacht that we took out to sea late at night." Charles giggles. "Maxie still gets so worried other people might see me naked, isn't that the sweetest? And then we got massages and hot stone therapy. I haven't felt that relaxed in years, Pierre." A shuffling sound fills the line. "And on our last night there, Max took me for a beachside picnic at sunset. He told me I was the most beautiful, amazing, wondrous person he's ever met and that if he lived a thousand lifetimes, there still wouldn't be anyone as perfect as me."
Pierre chokes on his espresso. "Um...Calamar...I don't know if that statement from Max can be taken...platonically." He tries to say this in the most diplomatic fashion he can.
But Charles bulldozes over Pierre's very carefully worded concern. "He kissed my hand, Pierre. Like a prince from a fairytale."
"...What?"
"The Maldives are our place now. So his stupid girlfriend can shove it." A gleeful, mean-spirited edge takes over Charles's voice. "Maxie was supposed to take his girlfriend there but she got...sick. So he took me instead."
"Your boyfriend was okay with this?"
"Who cares? I broke up with him." Charles says this so casually Pierre almost drops his phone.
"Wait, when did you two break up—?"
"Before Max took me to the Maldives, keep up Pierre." He snaps while another rustling sound catches Pierre's attention.
The rustling...sounds like bedsheets.
"Charles, if your boyfriend broke up with you then who are with right now?"
"Hm? Oh, Max." The Ferrari driver moves away from the phone and murmurs something that Pierre can't quite make out. Laughter fills the air before Charles drops the phone, more rustling, and then he's back on the line.
Pierre finishes the rest of his espresso. "Just for the sake of my own...peace of mind. Why is Max with you in bed?"
"Huh?"
"Why is Max with you in bed?"
"Oh. Because he was very tired after we flew in from the Maldives last night. So I let him sleep in bed with me."
"Best night of sleep I've ever had." Max declares, loud enough for Pierre to hear.
Charles giggles. "Oh mon cœur, you're so silly. I draped myself all over you...was I too heavy?"
"Heavy? Oh schatje you're the perfect weight. Perfect for my arms to hold."
Pierre almost gags at how saccharine Max sounds.
But Charles feels otherwise.
A loud oh Maxie! nearly ruptures Pierre's eardrum before the line goes dead.
Calmly, Pierre begins to spread some butter on his baguette. He's not touching this drama with a twenty meter pole, no thank you.
Charles will just have to figure this out for himself and—
Pierre's text notification goes off.
He glances down, wondering if Kika's arrived at the farmer's market but instead, he only sees a message from Charles.
Calamar 🦑: Dinner at my apartment tomorrow night? 7 pm?
Calamar 🦑: Need to give this apartment a proper farewell before I move in with Max ☺️
Pierre: ??? What?? Why??
Calamar 🦑: It's really very simple.
Pierre: Then explain??
Calamar 🦑: We already spend so much time at each other's homes. So why not move in together?
Pierre: What about Max's gf?
Calamar 🦑: Her opinion is irrelevant.
Pierre: ...You've already started moving in, haven't you?
Calamar 🦑: 🤭♥️
Calamar 🦑: Max bought me a Steinway Grand Piano 🥺 isn't he the best?
Pierre throws his butter knife across the hallway.
Hi, Nina!! Glad you liked my lil princess and knight spiel!
In my head, I think they get away with it for longer than they should. Like- after their first child, a sweet brown haired, blue eyed baby, who was born larger than any Leclerc child on record- tension is growing along the borders and soon the council is begging the King to allow his most loyal knight to join the army and push back their enemies. It takes months for King Lorenzo to relent, but he has to cave eventually.
It’s not long after the entire royal family, large brown haired baby included, see off the Lion that it’s discovered Princess Charles is once again with child- out of wedlock.
King Lorenzo is furious! This never would have happened if the council hadn’t forced him to send away the Lion!

Hi 🧸 Anon! 🤗
The Princess and the Knight AU: Part 1
Lmaooo not the Lestappen baby taking after Max and being the chonkiest, chubbiest lil pup 😭🥹🦁 this just reminds me of that photo of Sophie and baby Max where he looks like the cuddliest marshmallow 🐣
Also dying at the idea of Max and Charles gaslighting Lorenzo into believing only the Lion of the West can preserve the remains of the princess’s virtue, that everyone else is a suspect except his loyal, faithful knight. The Alpha who nearly bled to death defending Princess Charles a year ago, who fought until every last invader was cut down before, at long last, the knight collapsed to his knees.
From the reports that Lorenzo was given, it appears the knight had carefully wrapped his brother in the tattered remains of his cape before carrying Charles to a nearby sentry tower. The journey itself nearly killed the Lion. He passed out the second the princess was safe—this all aligned with what Lorenzo already knew.
There was no one in all the kingdom who was more honorable than the mighty Max Verstappen.
But what his majesty does not know are the paragraphs that the princess removed from the report. How after the Lion collapsed the princess let out a heartbreaking cry as his savior lay there, unconscious. How the princess begged the watchmen to carry the knight inside, how Charles gave them his own diamond earrings and ruby bracelet, telling the watchmen to trade his gemstones for medical supplies and a messenger.
They needed to return to the palace immediately.
Princess Charles felt only concern for his brother’s favorite warrior—but it wasn’t long before the beautiful Omega fell passionately in love. Hardly a fortnight had gone by before the princess kissed his knight while he lay on his sickbed, his hands cupping the Lion’s jaw as he whispered he desired and loved no one but him.
The birth of their first pup sent the outwardly stoic knight into a state of protective happiness—thanks to his majesty, the Lion spent every waking moment with his princess and their baby. The baby who, if one paid any attention, looked almost entirely like Max.
Just his intense blue stare unnerved some of the courtiers but it made Charles’s heart melt because their little warrior looked so much like his papa. Was it any wonder when, after four moons had passed, Charles excitedly told his Lion he was expecting their second pup?
Charles fully intended to hide this pregnancy for as long as he could—until he and Max could come up with a believable story of how Charles once again became pregnant out of wedlock.
But it appears that the universe itself was on their side:
The Kingdom of McLaren was getting ready to invade their vassal state of Haas and King Lorenzo’s Council was adamant that the mighty Lion of the West cease his role as lapdog and return to commanding armies and protecting the realm. (Max has to bite his tongue to keep from snarling that Charles was the realm—he was worth more than every courtier in this palace. He was worth everything.)
(One would think the princess would be disturbed that the Alpha he gave his heart to could be so blasé and cruel about the people Charles was meant to care for but the Omega finds that his heart only flutters when he realizes…his Lion’s priorities have completely changed. He is not his brother’s loyal knight anymore—he is Charles’s Alpha. His protector, the father of his children. To Max, Charles is the still point of the turning world.)
And so, the Lion—dressed in resplendent golden armor commissioned for him by the princess and bedecked in a rich red velvet cape—rides out to the battleground with his head held high, his sword by his side.
The princess watches, cradling his newborn in his arms, as the world fails to see that etched into the Lion’s armor is Charles’s personal emblem. He watches as the courtiers and the diplomats and his own brothers fail to notice that stitched into the red velvet cape are the names of Charles and their baby.
It’s truly a joyous experience to wake up the next morning and startle his handmaiden by showing her his baby bump, knowing she would run to Lorenzo the moment Charles dismissed her.
And when the king finally does learn of this second disgrace, he is torn between executing his Council for their poor recommendation of sending the Lion away and ordering his knight to return right this moment! But the king’s fuming is temporarily halted when another courtier, the wily old Lord Vasseur, inquires if it may not be better to save the princess from further shame by simply marrying him to the Lion of the West?
After all, who was more worthy than the fierce golden knight who now defends their kingdom and leads their armies? Who was more honorable than the Alpha who saw to the safety of the royal family even at the expense of his own life?
The protests erupt as soon as Lord Vasseur makes the proposition—yes, Sir Max is capable and valiant but he’s a commoner! The son of landed gentry and minor nobility! Nothing more than a common warrior whose skill in battle allowed him to earn a knighthood.
He is nobody and he has nothing.
No lands, no titles, no wealth, and no alliances. Why should the princess marry someone who could not further the interests of Ferrari?
“But who is to say that the protection of the kingdom would not be enhanced if we were to give this exceptional knight the resources to truly fortify our realm into something to be admired and feared?” Old Lord Vasseur counters. He looks to King Lorenzo. “Your kingdom could expand into an empire, your majesty, if you were to give favor to the knight you trust above all others.”
The king stares at his oldest councilor for a moment. Thinking.
Considering.
And finally, he gives a shake of the head. “I must ruminate on this further Lord Vasseur. I cannot allow my brother to be wed so recklessly. I must review all options before I decide on a single path.”
He rises and his councilors bow.
High above them, hidden in a secret galley, the princess watches the exchange with bright, curious eyes. He knew Uncle Fred had sworn to help them once he discovered their affair early on but…
Charles knows he’ll also need to actively change Lorenzo’s mind so that once his Lion returns, they may finally be wed.
Fantasy/Medieval AU idea: Prince(ss) Charles is widely regarded as the most beautiful in the land. He has suitors from every territory and empire vying for his hand, though he’s gives none of them his favor. The people see him as kind, generous, and gentle with children- always visiting with orphans and the sick. He is highly sought after and his dowry is certainly nothing to sneeze at.
But, one day, it is discovered that the people’s princess is with child- and no one knows whose it is. The king is outraged; how dare both Charles and this unknown man defy him. In order to lessen the blow on the Prince’s reputation and save what little chance their still is of an advantageous match, the King orders that Prince Charles be put under house arrest with minimal contact with anyone. He is to be guarded by only the King’s most fiercest and loyal knight: the Lion of the West.
Surely, nothing and no one will be able to get past the Lion and defile what’s left of the Prince’s dignity.

(I have more thoughts, but I figured I’d save that for if you’re interested 💛)
Hi 🧸 Anon!
Reading this ask immediately made me think:
Oh boy, is King Lorenzo putting the fox in the henhouse 😭😭 poor Lorenzo's just trying to protect what's left of his brother's virtue but has no idea that the pup growing inside him is actually the product of a year long love affair between the princess and his beloved knight.
That Charles fell so madly in love with this strong, handsome knight that he began writing letters to him—letters that the Lion of the West began to answer. Letters with plans for secret rendezvous and kisses in darkened corridors. Letters with locks of Charles's hair, silk handkerchiefs soaked with his slick, kisses pressed against the delicate lace of his most intimate negligees...
And our knight? Our feared, respected Golden Lion who has earned a reputation for being the king's most faithful (and dangerous) warrior, the one-man army who strategized, coordinated, and led the defense of Maranello and nearly died protecting the kingdom's princess?
No one knows how Charles nursed him back to health day after day. No one knows that the knight threw aside honor, vows, and every oath he's ever made because loving Charles was worth more anything else in this world.
No one knows that late at night, when the princess uses secret palace corridors to sneak into his chambers, that the mighty lion turns into the sweetest, most adoring kitten as he cradles his princess in his arms. How their hands overlapped and intertwined as they cradled Charles's growing belly.
How the princess swore they would be together one day, that he would take no husband except his lion.
His Max.
His future mate and the father of their little pup.
When Lorenzo "discovers" Charles's pregnancy, he reacts exactly as the princess expected—pure apoplectic rage, fury over his brother's defilement, and helplessness at seeing what has happened. Charles knows that when Lorenzo feels cornered, he tries to force order and control into an already chaotic situation.
Charles holds his breath until the moment Lorenzo decrees that no one shall approach Princess Charles without express permission from the princess's personal knight, the Lion of the West.
Many at court gossip at what a demotion and humiliation the Lion must have suffered, to be stripped of his place by the king's side and reduced to bodyguard for their fickle whore of a princess. Those that do think this are quickly silenced by the knight, who dares anyone to speak ill of Charles in his presence.
The first time someone made a disparaging comment about the expectant princess, the knight unsheathed his sword and stabbed it through the courtier's cloak, pinning him in place. "Speak ill of his royal highness again and I shall carve out your tongue." The knight spoke softly but clearly and the low, thunderous echo of his voice filled the Great Hall.
After that, no one dared utter a word against Princess Charles—at least not in the knight's presence.
Because despite the king's decree, he cannot stop gossip. And before long, rumors abound at who the father of the princess's child might be.
They range from courtiers to wealthy lords to the rulers of far-flung realms. They might have been a visiting diplomat or a rich merchant. Some of the more romantic courtiers envisage a tragic love story whereby the princess fell in love with a stableboy but their love was not meant to be.
Charles is informed of all the gossip from his faithful spymaster, Bryan Bozzi. He and Max laugh at the mix of tales spreading throughout the court. His lion is finally in his bed, finally able to make love to Charles the way the Omega has dreamed since the moment he realized that what he felt for the knight wasn't mere infatuation—
It was love.
Around the princess's throat is a gold and emerald ring, the last item the lion owns from his homeland.
A small piece of jewelry that is rather plain compared to the enormous gemstones Charles has scattered around his bedroom. But this ring means more to him than all the diamonds of the world put together.
Because this is a ring that belonged to his lion's mama.
This is the ring his lion placed on his finger, after getting down on one knee and asking the princess consider his offer of courtship.
That he has little to offer Charles in terms of land or power, but that he would sooner cut out his own heart than harm the princess in any way. "I am yours, my princess." Max spoke these words like a vow, breathing life to them against the backdrop of night. "My heart and my sword. Take what you will, because everything I am already belongs to you."
And when Charles hears this? When he sees his proud lion tremble slightly as he holds out this simple gold and emerald ring?
His heart sings with the purest joy before he throws himself into his Alpha's arms, whispers of yes and mine and my beloved filling the air.
“I am not swapping with the dog too,” Max says firmly, before Charles can suggest such a thing, because that is a level he will not sink to.”
I’m genuinely wheezing you are an INCREDIBLE writer and you are soooooo funny this entire fic is fantastic. Also, Charles is SO not normal about that dog he kills me 😭 😭 😭
You know, he might have actually swapped again if there was a little more wheedling. The things these restaurants make for dogs nowadays do sound pretty good sometimes...
If you had to assign one of the seven deadly sins to F1 drivers what would you choose? (Inspired by your little demon gif and the thought of Charles and Max with horns)
Ha! This is a fun little exercise
[Disclaimer that this is just for fun! Genuinely don’t mean any of these to be insulting! (besides Sainz) Please don’t think I’m calling them sinful people- I’m just making silly observations]
Pride: Carlos (especially after yesterday)
Greed: Lewis (still seeking more glory to pad his legacy)
Lust: Franco and Kimi (Franco used to be very flirty and was basically offering himself to Messi on main just a couple weeks ago. Kimi is constantly feeling up half the grid every race weekend.)
Envy: George and Charles (Russell gives off jealous vibes to any driver who is more successful/more popular than him. Charles desperately wants a WDC (same with Russell), and is envious that his main rival and now Lando both achieved it before him. Thinking about how we’ve seen him looking at the trophy… 😔)
Gluttony: Nando (Still a glutton for the f1 lifestyle well past his prime and into his 40s.)
Wrath: Isack and Max (Just because their angry radio messages are the most famous! Russell could also fit here considering his track record tbh.)
Sloth: Lance (too comfortable taking up a seat in F1 without seeming to have any fire or passion to improve)
Everyone: omg Hollander leash your dog, Ilya is barking at opponent hockey players again
Shane Enabler Hollander: ok so Ilyusha this player has had zero assists in the entire season, he got drafted last, and finally - and this is crucial - he once scored a goal in his own team's net
Ilya Heart Eyes Rozanov: thank you my ShaneWiki this is valuable data, off I go
