Black Swan Installation A film of The Black Swan Installation. A piece centered around sexual empowerment, hindering the ability to be loved. By becoming the black swan, will a woman just be desired and only long to be loved?
3D work on feminism. Wire corset, with skin and surgical stitches and scouring pad skirt.Â
Handbag shaped like an ironing board, with glass interior.
Both to demonstrate the fact that men originally designed women's clothes without pockets and tightly fitted, to accentuate the figure, making clothing impractical and therefore requiring women to use handbags.

Hundreds expected to gather for Je Suis Charlie vigil in Victoria Square this evening (08/01).Â
Hundreds of people, including French nationals living in and around Birmingham, are expect to gather in Victoria Square from 7:30PM this evening (08/01) to take part in a vigil for the twelve people, who died during the terror attack at the office of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, in Paris on Wednesday (07/01).Â
The event has been organised by Zoé Pelletier, a criminology student at Birmingham City University.
ZoĂ©, said: âI think it would be a great idea to gather up as a community to pay our respect to the people who lost their lives during this horrific tragedy, also to show our compassion and our love for their families and friends who will be grieving.
France is a strong nation, and we should NEVER forget our motto âLibertĂ©(Liberty), Ă©galitĂ©(Equality) ,fraternitĂ©(Fraternity)â Freedom of speech should always be something humans are entitled to regardless their culture, race, religion, sexuality or ethnicity. We should not be afraid to say what we want!! It would mean a great deal to all the people that were affected by this tragedy if you all could come to show your support. Everyone who wishes to show their support is welcome. It is a free country after allâ
The vigil will gather in Victoria Square at 7:30PM before marching to the Library of Birmingham in Centenary Square from 8PM.Â
ZoĂš, added: âPlease bring some sort of appropriate light (many of you may have this on your phone, or you could bring a torch) to pay our respect to the civilians who lost their lives and if you would like you could also bring a sign saying âJe Suis Charlieâ.â

Book to accompany installation and interactive film.Â
To strip oneself bare of the veils that society has imposed on humanity is to be the model of one's own ideology. The role model is now both the woman and the artist herself, no longer an ornament for society to wear but, in the face of nudity, beyond transparency ... transcendent.

It is illegal for women to go topless in most cities, yet you can buy a magazine of a woman without her top on at any 7-11 store. So, you can sell breasts, but you cannot wear breasts, in America.

This is one of my favorite quotes about sexualization/objectification vs autonomy of female bodies bc itâs so succinct

First test video of every inch of me project... needs resizing and speeding up.. another 1,000 images to be added. The film will then be projected into a 1inch size, to be projected into viewers hands.
The project is based on being able to see and hold every inch of me and still not knowing me. It's about a personal mapping and the world of objectification we live in. It's is also interactive, to see if the viewer becomes uncomfortable holding me, or whether they feel happy to see and hold all of me.
