An active member of the Irish American Orthopaedic Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. John G. Kennedy has been affiliated with hospitals and surgical centers in Boston, New York City, and Dublin. Since 2019, Dr. John G. Kennedy has performed surgical treatment as an attending physician at NYU Langone Medical Center. He also serves as a tenure-eligible professor and chief of the university hospital’s division of foot and ankle surgery. In addition to administering direct care to treat osteochondral injuries and defects, Dr. Kennedy’s research has supported advancement in the field. He has worked alongside researchers from Harvard Medical School and Cornell University to investigate novel techniques for bone-grafting and promoting cartilage regeneration. Prior to his faculty position at NYU, he lectured at medical schools located in the United States and internationally. Over the course of his decade-spanning career, Dr. John Kennedy has contributed hundreds of articles to peer-reviewed publications, such as the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the Orthopaedic Journal of Sports Medicine. He has also reviewed manuscripts for more than a dozen publications, including the Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery and Clinical Orthopedics and Related Research.
