The DRMS Project.

Now that I’ve had some time to work on some general planning, I’d like to formally announce the first official project under development, The Drms Project!  The Drms Project sets out to be an immersive music experience that incorporates equal parts musical engineering with captivating designs. This project proudly takes influences from many talented artists such as: The Gorrilaz, Studio Killers, Slavonic, Daft Punk, Mystery Skulls, deadmau5, Mcbess,Bryan Lee O’Mally, Jhonen Vasquez and Walt Disney, to name a few. I will be the lead developer and designer on this project (although I will probably receive the help of many wonderful and talented people along the way.)  I’m excited to be moving forward with production and will be sure to post more soon 

(Moving forward this blog will primarily be used for posting updates and information relating to this project. These updates will include things such as: production progress, demos/ audio files, design assets, conceptual art, and general world building information.)

Slow Days, Cast Away

Update #2 

The last two day’s have been a little slow production wise. Mostly due to prep for and subsequent taking of an interview with a marketing firm, and hanging with a good friend. This leads me to the conclusion that I need to make a weekly plan for the progression of this project and set aside time each day in order to further the creation of this project. I’m going to iron out and fully implement this plan of action by the end of this week, in the hopes that the following weeks will be more productive. 

In regards to the interview process. It was overall very positive. Having seen a book that both I and the interviewer owned, we were able to find some common ground. I’m hoping this leads to a host of opportunities in the future.

Blog Update #1 

Today has been overall pretty productive.  Although I didn’t design a banner today (next on the to do list) or any graphics aside from this jazzy little icon, I did spend a considerable amount of the day learning the basics of some back end development. Namely, HTML. I’m confident that I’ll be able to implement what I’m learning into this project in a great way. More details will be given in the near future!
