Personally I won’t get anything brand new as regardless on wha the claims made by the new AI, you cannot rule out a fly away before some firmware update.
The standard package is on offer at US$499 for Black Friday so you can get it but don’t fly it until you get the first firmware update.
Hubsan Zino is here, but is it a Spark Killer?
Frankly, the DJI Spark is due for a price reduction and I can’t see how you can have the Zino compete unless you are looking for a pure 4K camera.
The Zino launched on Indiegogo, Not that well received but it had enough sales to see their launch through. Not that it mattered anyway since they just wanted some preorders and the crowdfunding didn’t meet their pledge goals.
So will people double down on a drone that cost US$300 with 4K video?
Remains to be seen if they will get a product worthy enough to be a DJI Spark killer.

For those who require some help with the App, here is the link. DJI Go app isn’t the easiest to use. Trusted that it is an official manual on the site, it spans many pages.
And regardless of what it can do, I would still not recommend you updating any firmware on the DJI Go app on your mobile. That’s because it connects to your DJI drone via Wifi and as you know it, as long as the iOS or Android device connects to a Wifi hotspot, it will assume it will have internet access.
Dumb.
Pretty dumb indeed.
I have stopped updating my DJI Spark via a mobile device
This is to avoid those moments when the firmware package that is too big for your phone to handle. What happens next is that when your phone is connected via Wifi, you can only do one connection at a time, which is either to the Internet or to the DJI Spark. So each time some firmware package needs to be updated, you have to do double duty to switch between two Wifi connections. I hear this doesn’t happens with iOS devices but I haven’t got round to verifying this.
So what should you do? Damn...just download the DJI Assistant software for Mac or Windows.
The updating doesn’t need to switch around a mobile device and lets you update it in one go.
The only caveat is that you need to have a 50 percent battery charge in your DJI Spark before the updating process can take place.
Drone jamming hasn’t gotten any more sophisticated. Just imagine if you had one of this behind your back and a drone bomber is charging your way...then you have a hernia attack while carrying this bulked up drone jamming equipment behind your back. See what I mean?
