sirius who's very opinionated about everything, even the things he knows nothing about. he likes to ragebait anyone who's around, saying the most obnoxious things and incorrect facts (that he knows that are incorrect, thank you very much) just to have fun. and remus, who's usually very quiet and not fond of attention at all, but who just cannot keep it to himself if sirius declares something objectively wrong. so they argue, and they bicker. and remus doesn't know it, but even though he might be right about some random subject (and believe me, sirius knows) sirius is the one who wins. because he gets to see remus all worked up, with flushed cheeks, a challenging spark in his eyes, and his deep voice slightly exasperated, and that's all he ever wanted, really.

Sirius struggling to ride Remus is canon to me. Doesn't matter the universe, Sirius is not sinking down on it in one go. He needs time to sink down on it. hope who immediately recognizes how much sirius loves her son, just by the way he looks at him and treats him so softly. lyall who's skeptical at first because of sirius tattoos, piercings, and big leather boots, but warms up once he realizes that sirius can talk cars.

sirius and remus staying in remus' childhood bedroom, giggling when they have to squeeze into his too small, twin bed. sirius finding an old book of wannabe-angsty teen remus' poetry and reading it out loud while remus sits there and thinks about the fact that at that point in his life when he was writing that truly horrible poetry, he could've never dreamed of being this happy.

remus who wakes up alone one morning and goes downstairs to find hope teaching sirius how to make her famous welsh cakes, while the lupin's old retired sheep dog, moony, lays at their feet. another morning he finds hope and sirius on the couch, slowly flipping through the old scrapbooks dedicated to remus' childhood years. giggling about remus in his dorky braces (and maybe tearing up at them too but he promises he didn't see that)

remus showing sirius around his town and pointing out all the places that he used to haunt as a child. afterwards meeting up with his childhood best friend, lily, who sirius hasn't met yet. afterwards sirius tries to convince remus that lily is perfect for james and even gets him to finally give up her phone number.

at the end of the trip sirius realizes that he's never quite seen remus so relaxed and happy until this time that they've spent in his childhood home. he tells remus that once they are ready to settle down and start a family, that sirius would be happy to do it here. remus proposes on the spot.

durmstrang!remus meeting beauxbatons!sirius during their seventh year at the triwizard tournament and the two of them being immediately fascinated by each other, so instead of actually watching their schools compete, they keep sneaking away together whenever the tasks start just to spend more time getting to know each other.

sirius constantly teases remus about his ridiculously dry durmstrang accent, insisting that he could confess his undying love in that voice and still sound like he’s reading a textbook. remus makes fun of sirius right back for making every sentence sound unnecessarily dramatic just because of his french accent, and somehow they can spend hours doing nothing but making fun of each other’s voices.

sirius also refuses to admit that he’s cold, despite his freezing hands and pink cheeks, until remus eventually gives him his thick fur-lined coat. sirius is far too proud to accept it at first, but eventually gives in, and it quickly becomes a little ritual between them. remus always brings it when they go outside, sirius always insists he doesn’t need it, and somehow he always ends up wearing it anyway.

one afternoon in the forest, sirius starts teasing remus again about his supposedly emotionless voice, so remus throws a snowball at him. sirius immediately throws one back, and suddenly they’re running through the snow and laughing until they both lose their balance and tumble into it together.

sirius ends up beneath remus, his black curls spread across the white snow, his pale skin almost glowing against it and his bright blue eyes looking up at remus through his long lashes. and remus suddenly forgets every clever response he could have made because sirius looks far too beautiful this close.

maybe sirius was right after all. maybe remus really does hide his feelings too well. so for once, he doesn’t.

he leans down and kisses sirius, soft and slow, putting all the affection he had been too quiet to say into the kiss. and sirius, for once, doesn’t tease him or make some dramatic comment. he simply smiles against remus’ lips and pulls him a little closer, as if he had been waiting for remus to finally show him exactly how much he felt
