𝐒𝐀𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐔 𝐆𝐎𝐉𝐎 QUALITY TIME
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁ for someone with the busiest schedule in jujutsu society, 𝐆𝐎𝐉𝐎 becomes surprisingly protective of the little bits of time he gets with you. he doesn’t care what you’re doing, as long as you’re doing it together. he’ll drag you to try a new dessert shop, convince you to wander around the city with no destination, or spend an entire evening lying on the couch arguing over which terrible movie deserves another rewatch. every time his phone rings, he lets it buzz for a few extra seconds before answering because, for just a moment longer, he’d rather stay in your little bubble. no matter how chaotic his life gets, he always finds his way back to you, as if spending time with you is the only part of his day that actually feels effortless.
𝐓𝐎𝐉𝐈 𝐅𝐔𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐆𝐔𝐑𝐎 QUIET RELIABILITY
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁ 𝐓𝐎𝐉𝐈 isn’t the type to make grand confessions or constantly throw compliments around. instead, his love shows up in the way he’s always there before you have to ask. if your car won’t start, he’s already looking under the hood. if you’re carrying something heavy, it’s gone from your hands before you can protest. if someone makes you uncomfortable, they suddenly find toji standing beside you with a look that makes them rethink every decision they’ve made. he’ll grumble the entire time, acting like you’re inconveniencing him, but you quickly realize he never actually says no. one night, after you thank him for always looking out for you, he lets out a quiet scoff, reaches over to straighten your jacket, and says, “somebody’s gotta make sure you don’t get yourself into trouble.” it’s the closest thing to “i love you” you’ll hear from him—and somehow, it says more than the words ever could.
𝐘𝐔𝐉𝐈 𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐃𝐎𝐑𝐈 PHYSICAL TOUCH
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁ 𝐘𝐔𝐉𝐈 treats physical affection like second nature. he doesn’t even think about it anymore—his arm is already slung over your shoulders while you’re walking, he’s bumping your knee with his under the table, or dramatically throwing himself onto the couch beside you until you’re both laughing. after missions, he’ll instinctively reach for your hand just to make sure you’re really okay. even quiet moments aren’t actually quiet with him; if you’re sitting next to each other, he’s absentmindedly tracing circles on the back of your hand or resting against your shoulder. one day you jokingly ask, “do you ever get tired of touching me?” he blinks, genuinely confused. “why would i?”
𝐌𝐄𝐆𝐔𝐌𝐈 𝐅𝐔𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐆𝐔𝐑𝐎 ACTS OF SERVICE
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁ 𝐌𝐄𝐆𝐔𝐌𝐈 isn’t good with words, and he knows it. instead of saying how much you mean to him, he notices the little inconveniences in your day and quietly gets rid of them before you even realize they existed. your phone dies often? he starts carrying a charger that fits your phone. you always forget breakfast? somehow there’s an extra rice ball waiting on your desk every morning. if you mention your shoulders hurt once, he’ll absentmindedly rest a hand on them while you sit in front of him, gently working the tension out without making a big deal of it. when you thank him, he just shrugs and mutters, “it’s not that hard.” but he’d never do any of it for anyone else.

summary : you are used to babying your sunshine bf not knowing that sunshine has layers that burn and you came to know that after injuring yourself in a mission.
you are woken up by a ticklish feeling on your neck which turns out to be your pink haired bf peppering soft wet grossly loud kisses all over you.
this is his tactic of waking you up ever since he started sleeping in your dorm , which is 5 months.
months ago this munchkin got hurt enough to leave a massive stain in his dorm bed and this jerk didnt even go to shoko sensei for aid. "its a minor injury babe and shes already got her hands full, didnt wanna bother her with me" is what your bf said. ofc. even after getting his back sliced he cared about others.
it was then you decided to take matters in your hands and took him to your dorm and made him promise to sleep in here after his missions, yuji who usually protested in these cases noded immediately, eyes lightening up as if he won a lottery.
since then , mission or not, yuji came over whenever he wanted and latched on to you, you didnt mind his clinginess ( which btw was a lot considering he would negotiate with you to not go peeing cuz sir was laying on you lap; if u did? he would follow you and wait on the door like an imprinted duck) so yeah, he didnt mind his unbearable clinginess. how could you? when hes staring at you with so much honeyed affection its pouring out of his eyes, when he nuzzles in your lap letting out deep low groans after finding a comfortable spot, dead out in seconds when you caress his hair.
you cant.
you are not the type to be one of those gfs who treat thier bfs like a child
but yuji. yuji itadori molds you that way. his sincerity and blunt attachment forces u to baby him
to you, hes a sunbeam, escape from this jujutsu world, escape from curses
you couldn't imagine, not in your wildest dreams, that he was capable of malice.
So, imagine the sheer, icy shock that flooded your veins when you woke up from the hazy blur of Shoko’s anesthesia to a terrifying truth. You had been battered and broken after a setup—a Grade 2 sorcerer being you thrown to the wolves against a Special Grade.
And your sweet, golden retriever boyfriend had responded by committing absolute, unbridled slaughter.
The buildings within a ten-mile radius of your mission? Decimated.
The curses lurking in the shadows? Eradicated.
And the corrupt higher-ups who had carelessly signed your death warrant? Gone.
Even a few civilians had caught the crossfire because Yuji had torn through the city without dropping a single, fucking veil.
Somewhere in the shadows, Gojo Satoru—who had happily fed Yuji the names of the men responsible—was likely beaming with pride.
But you were just terrified. Why? How?
Yuji? Your Yuji?
Nobara sat by your infirmary bed, her expression a mix of awe and deep unease. "He dropped his own mission and ran when he heard you got set up," she explained quietly. "He was late. When he saw you..."
She swallowed hard.
"He dropped to his knees. The idiot was trembling so hard. He tried to pick you up, but you winced, so I swatted his hands away. Then we rolled you over and he saw... he saw the gashes across your stomach."
Nobara paused, her eyes darkening at the memory.
"He just lost it. His eyes went completely dead. I kept shouting his name, but it was like he couldn't hear me. He just silently handed you to Shoko and walked out to find Gojo. I don't know what he said, but—"
Thud.
The heavy infirmary door swung open.
There stood your boyfriend. He was panting heavily, his broad, solid frame casting a long, moody shadow across the sterile room. Fresh, jagged scratches marred his skin—scars you hadn't seen before.
"Kugisaki. Leave." His voice didn't sound like Yuji. It was a low, gravelly command that left absolutely no room for argument.
Nobara stood up, rolling her eyes to mask the tension. She threw you a quick thumbs-up and slipped out. The door clicked shut, sealing you in.
You stared at the boy in front of you. "Yuji, what am I hearing—"
"It's Yuu for you, Y/N."
"That's not the poi—"
you couldnt finish your sentence as he came near you and tugged you loose clothes up, too much, the underside of your breasts was in view but yujis eyes only scanned for scars, which were none thanks to shokos reversed cursed technique
even tho he wasnt looking at the exposure, you still felt embarrased
"never again'
you looked up to see him staring directly at you
he dropped your shirt and scooped you up
" never again am i gonna let you get hurt baby"
"im so sorry" his eyes were glassy and for a second you could see your adorable bf but his eyes darkened again, staring intensely as he tucked a stray hair behind your ear
you looked down
you were nervous
you dont know why you were nervous
maybe cuz yuji never intimidated u like this?
he made u look up at him by his index finger on you chin as he sighed
"look at me"
your eyes dropped again you were fucking nervous!
yuji frowned and grabbed your jaw with his hand with more force
"keep looking at me"
he leaned in resting your temples together while still making eye contact
"yeah just like that"
he put his free hand infront of your face
"hold my hand"
you obediently held it
he interlocked your fingers bringing it near his lips giving it a chaste kiss
all this time maintaining eye contact
your breath hitched
"yuji-
"say you love me"
you paused for a second making him harden his hold on you
"tell me you love me baby"
'i..i love you.."
"louder"
"i love you"
he dropped his head on your neck inhaling your scent
"again"
" i love yo-ah!
he bit near your pulse softening the sting with sloppy wet kisses before looking at u
"did i tell u to stop?'
"huh?"
he gave u a sharp stare before kissing you, putting so much force in it your lips felt the sting
he tilted his head adjustign you in his arms as he mutteres in between
" i love you. i love you so much i feel insane. i love you so much that i hate what you are making me feel"
His kisses dragged a burning trail down your neck as he slowly lowered you back onto the mattress, following your body down until he was hovering over you, caging you in. His hands slid under your shirt, large palms stroking the curve of your ribs before settling heavily on your waist, his thumbs pressing into your skin.
"This soft skin of yours was slashed. Flesh torn. Your sweet scent was entirely masked by blood, Y/N." His voice was a devastated whisper. "I don't want you covered in blood, baby."
"I want you filled with softness, comfort... me."
"I don't want you worrying about curses."
He dragged an open-mouthed kiss along your collarbone, a deep rumble vibrating in his chest.
"I want you sleeping, dreaming of my touch."
"Or waking up needing it."
"Yuji," you panted, trying to inject some reason into the heavy, intoxicating air. "Everyone gets hurt on missions. I'm not special. I'll heal and get back to fighting. I'm strong."
"You are strong, baby. You are so damn strong," he murmured, his teeth grazing your earlobe, sending a shiver cascading down your spine. "But I'm not. So be strong right here. On my lap."
Before you could process his words, his hands gripped your hips, lifting and pulling you forward until you were straddling him, sitting perfectly aligned over the thick, agonizingly heavy ridge pressing against the denim of his pants.
You let out a sharp gasp, your body shivering as a sudden, aching friction flared right at your center.
"Yuji, if you think you can seduce me into quitting sorcery, you are one dumb fuck," you breathed, though your voice lacked its usual bite.
Yuji stilled, looking up at you with a mock pout that didn't quite reach the dark, feral look in his eyes. "I'll just take up every single one of your missions, so good luck trying to fight."
You glared down at him, your hands resting on his broad shoulders. "You can't do that."
A slow, wicked smirk curved his lips. He rolled his hips upward, just a fraction, biting his lower lip as a stifled moan escaped you.
"Watch me."
You cupped his face, your thumbs tracing the sharp line of his cheekbones, trying to coax the golden retriever back to the surface. "You're panicking, Yuu. I get it. But you're smothering me."
"Smothering is still better than you being half-dead."
"Fuck you."
"I desperately want you to"
You huffed trying to get up from his lap
But he sat you right down, making the friction more intense as both of you gasped
You looked at him as he rolled his hips in another torturous motion making you grinding down on him trying to ease the tension.
your response excited him as he literally started eating your mouth.
His mouth was relentless, swallowing your muffled whimpers as his tongue tangled with yours, tasting of mint and raw, unrestrained desperation.
Every agonizingly slow roll of his hips was a persuasive argument, sending shockwaves of heat straight to your core while his large, calloused hands kneaded the soft flesh of your thighs.
"Just say yes, baby," he murmured against your slick, swollen lips, his breath hot and ragged as he tilted your hips to deepen the torturous friction between you two.
"Say you'll let me do the fighting. Say you'll stay right here, safe and untouched, while I tear apart anything that even tries to look at you. Please, Y/N. Let me take care of you." The sheer vulnerability masking his dominant hold made your resolve crumble. You couldn't fight him—not when his body was practically vibrating with the terror of losing you, and not when he was weaponizing every ounce of his undeniable, heavy strength just to make you melt into him.
"Okay," you breathed out, completely breathless, your fingers sliding up to card through his soft, pink hair and massage his scalp. "Okay, Yuu. I'm here.
I'm right here, and I'm not going anywhere." The gentle, rhythmic stroke of your nails was the anchor he desperately needed to pull him back from the edge.
You could literally feel the manic, frantic tension bleed out of his broad shoulders, the terrifyingly feral glint in his amber eyes finally dissolving into exhausted relief.
He let out a long, shuddering exhale, leaning his heavy head forward until his lips brushed against the sensitive shell of your ear.
"Good," he whispered, his voice dropping into a gravelly, downright filthy register that sent a violent shiver down your spine.
"Because the second Shoko sensei clears you, I’m taking you back to your room and locking the door. I’m going to pin your legs back and completely ruin you, baby. I'm going to stretch you out and bury myself inside you so deep and so rough that your mind goes completely blank. I'm going to pound into you until you're shaking, dripping wet, and screaming my name so loud your voice gives out. I'm going to mark up every inch of this beautiful skin and fuck you mindless until you physically forget what the outside world even looks like—until the only thing you can feel, taste, and breathe is me."
Before your brain could even begin to short-circuit at the sheer, wicked audacity of his promise, Yuji slumped his entire body weight forward.
He buried his face directly into the warmth of your chest with a soft, drawn-out sigh. "My head hurts, baby," he mumbled, his voice instantly snapping back to that sweet, whiny, sunshine tone as he nuzzled his nose happily against your sternum like a giant, needy puppy.
His large arms wrapped around your waist in a comfortable, lazy hug. "Can you just hold me? I missed you so much."

Satoru met you when he wasn't looking for love.
If someone asked him what his ideal type was, he'd probably describe her as...
"Well," Satoru crossed his arms, brows furrowed and lips pressed into a tight line.
Shoko's tired eyes lit up by a fraction. Was Gojo Satoru finally using that head of his? Was he actually thinking?
The vibrant greenery in the Jujutsu High grounds was a talisman against negativity, creating a soothing space for the students. The large tree Satoru and Shoko sat under was a welcome reprieve to the growing heat of the sun as its course neared noon.
The two first-year students sat on a bench, engaging in idle chat.
"Qualities I'm looking for?" He repeated Shoko's question, exasperated. He unlinked his arms and leaned back onto his palms.
Satoru's chin was titled up to the sky. The picturesque azure of the heavens were born in his eyes, a complete manifestation of the limitless beyond in Satoru Gojo.
Shoko leaned in like a curious cat.
Satoru's head lolled onto his shoulder lazily, "Well...! First of all, what I'm really looking for is soft," He began to list. Shoko nodded fervently, leaning in more while perking her ear.
"Has to be sweet," He continued, "But also a little cold! I like it when they're a little cold—brings out the fun of it, ya'know." He added, tone boyish and excited.
Shoko nodded and leaned in with each one. She noted how his cheeks started to flush and how jovial his expression suddenly became.
Until...
"Wait," Shoko paused. "Are you talking about kikufuku mochi?"
Satoru turned to her, eyes a little too bright, "Is that not what you asked for?"
"Didn't you ask me what kind of qualities make up the best kikufuku mochi?" His head tilted slightly in confusion.
"You're absolutely hopeless." Shoko sighed, fingers itching for a cigarette. Just when she thought she could finally matchmake her friend, she was only reminded of how stunted he was.
So no, Gojo Satoru was not looking for love. Did not even begin to have an idea of what it was.
After all, how does a boy who has only known how unkind the world could be begin to understand love?
"They are your juniors," Principal Yaga begins. He turns to the three new bloods of Jujutsu High, "Please say hello."
His words were an implicit instruction and you would be stupid not to follow them. Haibara beat you to it, though. He always had the energy to jump into anything.
"Good morning! My name's Yu Haibara," The boy beamed, wide smile stretching across his countenance. You swear you could see sun rays radiating from his grin.
The other student on your right was tall with pale blonde hair, "My name is Nanami Kento." He followed, voice steady and calm unlike Haibara's.
Everyone's eyes turned to you next. Your heart picked up slightly at the sudden attention—especially that one senior who had such compelling eyes.
Like the other two, you gave your name. You couldn't help but notice the senior with the piercing eyes beneath round glasses that kept staring at you. Though he looks like the type to probably only use his fingers for a comb, his hair was still as fluffy as snow.
Principal Yaga introduces them. You learn their names. Shoko Ieiri, Geto Suguru, and...
Gojo Satoru.
"Your classroom is over there," Yaga says gruffly, "Don't cause too much trouble, alright?"
Satoru couldn't stop staring at you. Even if he willed his eyes to focus on something else, he'd find his gaze still trained on your person.
The shy glances you made towards him sent his heart hammering and his palms sweating.
What is this feeling?
His cool demeanor crumbled immediately, converting him into nothing more than a tense statue. Geto's eyes slid towards him, cocking a brow at the sudden stiffness in his friend's shoulders.
Satoru kept tapping his feet, hands stuffed into his pockets to keep them from leaking waterfalls. Satoru never taps his feet.
Surely, it must be the summer heat.
Satoru never chased attention until he tasted yours.
And he was a complete idiot about it.
"I'm so sorry, Y/N!" The man was practically sobbing, hands stuck in the air awkwardly like he didn't know what to do with them. His expression, deeply frazzled, didn't know anything except the word 'Sorry.'
Earlier in the day, Gojo Satoru had noticed that you entered the outdoor garden area where he and Geto were. Shoko walked beside you, entertaining you with deep conversation.
Shoko was glad to have another girl in the school, someone she could approach easily. Your soft laughs from the distance left a strange tingling sensation in Satoru's ears.
Gojo Satoru, the boy with air in his head, was a slave to his impulses. Before he knew it, he was showing off his new Martial Arts moves to his black-haired friend.
He made sure his punches carried more force, arms extended firmly with each thrusted fist. In between sequences of the wind catching his blows, he'd look over to you to see if you were watching.
And if you weren't, his voice was louder as he bragged about how Yaga complimented his forms to Geto.
"Even Yaga said my form's one of the best he's ever seen!"
His poor friend was utterly confused but unsurprised at his spontaneous behavior.
Satoru kept displaying his proficiency in Martial Arts in the open space—confidently throwing hook after hook, adding spins to his kicks as if he owned the training grounds.
It seemed he only realized he overestimated the size of the space when his elbow collided with your face.
One second, you were talking about how you and Shoko both hated night missions. The next, a sharp elbow crashed into your face—straight on the nose.
"What the—" The impact knocked you off your feet, sending you onto your rear on the grass. As if the blood dripping from your nostrils didn't torment you enough, your ass started to sting.
Satoru was horrified.
"I'm so sorry!" His cheeks were red in embarrassment and shame. He knelt in front of you as you sat on the bench beside the vending machine.
The day had bled into afternoon yet Satoru did not leave your side at all. Every minute since the incident, without missing a beat, he'd utter an apology—voice stripped from his usual bravado.
Your hand held up your second cold can of soda against your nose. Shoko immediately patched you up when it happened but the soreness seemed like it did not want to leave just yet.
You waved Satoru off with your free hand, "It's fine, Satoru. You've said sorry more times than I can count on my hands." Your voice was muffled by the can pressed to your nose and lips.
"But still," He sniffled, "I hurt you."
"It was an accident, Satoru."
"Doesn't matter."
Betraying your will, your cheeks warmed. You beheld his perpetual pout and the creased skin between his eyebrows. His constant frowning hauled an increasing worry within you of him getting wrinkles on his stupidly pretty face.
You sighed, knowing that he would probably never forgive himself unless you did something about it.
"Then, how about you buy me ice cream? I'll forget this ever happened if you do."
Satoru lifted his eyes up at you. His expression lit up as if a light had been switched on. He sprung up to his feet like the floor had burned him.
"Say less. I'll buy you as much ice cream as you want." He promised, extending his hand towards you. His tall frame blocked the golden beams of the afternoon, casting his shadow over your person.
A lopsided grin was plastered on his face, blue eyes finally sparkling. You couldn't help but let out a small smile.
"We have a deal." You placed your hand in his.
An elbow to the face was the catalyst to Satoru's growing presence in your life. For the weeks that followed, he consistently dragged you around everywhere.
Shopping districts during Saturdays, movie nights after missions, convenience store runs while Principal Yaga wasn't looking. Most of the things you did practically involved him.
When you had government requirements, Satoru was in the office waiting room with you. When he ruins his shoes after missions, you were there in the shop with him, commenting as he flaunted his 'otherworldly beauty' as he calls it.
You were there when Satoru was learning how to drive, a few weeks after you'd arrived at Jujutsu High. And maybe you shouldn't have.
"Satoru!" You screamed, clutching onto your seatbelt with one hand while the other gripped onto the grab handle.
"Calm down! I'm just overtaking." The proud man said as if you weren't pushed against the cardoor just a few moments ago from his swerving.
You huffed, looking at the view in front instead. Wasn't there supposed to be a large shopping district around this area?
That was when you noticed that the road was completely different from the street you were supposed to be on. The GPS blinking.
"You missed the fucking turn, you idiot!" You yelled, pointing at the digital GPS that was mounted in between you. The purple lines that ran along the digital streets rerouting itself.
"Oh." Satoru nervously giggled, an admission of guilt while both of his hands remained on the steering wheel.
Satoru managed to convince some new assistant—Ijichi—to lend him his company car. You weren't sure if Ijichi was aware that Satoru barely knew how to drive.
"I'm gonna die..." You sunk into the leather seats. Red indents in the form of lines ran along your palms from how hard you gripped the strap. "This is it. My last moments."
His eyes slid towards yours. The glow caught in them, swirling with youthful mischief. The crystalline blue kissed by the light that poured through the windows.
He had that stupid smile, toothy and too wild for his own good—and that made your breaths turn shallow. "Sweetheart, you forget who you're talking to. As if I'd let you die while I'm here." Satoru proudly declared, giving you a thumbs up.
Thoughts drained from your head and heat unknowingly flooded your cheeks. Maybe it wasn't so bad...
"Satoru, keep your eyes on the road!" You screamed as you caught the rectangular figure of a truck rapidly approaching.
"Shit!"
You sat on the roof of Ijichi's company car with Satoru, ice cream in your hands. He had bought you the sweet, saying something about it being compensation for the trauma he caused.
The car was skewed as it remained in park. The front wheels were slanted inwards, dark tire marks littering the empty open-space parking lot.
The sun slowly grew heavy and began its gradual descent under the horizon. Your eyes watched how the blue turned into a sandy yellow then a golden orange—a metamorphosis of a story changing.
The ice cream was sweet, the perfect amount for you to keep eating without biting back from the sweetness. Courtesy of the sweets connoisseur beside you.
Satoru didn't know what love was.
But his body knew before he did. As you watched the sunset, his eyes were far from the sky—his eyes were on you.
His hands twitched as he watched with slight envy how the afternoon breeze could easily brush the loose strands of hair on your face.
I must get better at driving, he thought. Maybe then he could pick you up from missions and bring you to his favorite dessert shops.
"That cloud kind of looks like Nanami, doesn't it?" You pointed out, index finger directed towards a pink cloud.
"Yeah." He answered without looking away from you.
All he could focus on was the ice cream smeared on the corner of your mouth. His heart thumped, wondering whether or not he should tell you or act cool and wipe it off himself.
Did he even have the right to touch you? The incessant beating in his chest reflected the internal war in him.
Then you were talking about Haibara and Nanami. Something about a mission, something funny, he thinks, based on how your lips began to tug upwards.
"Then—" Laughter bubbled from your throat, "Then, Haibara started cry-laughing and even Nanami was chuckling!" You laughed, chest rumbling with the memory of your most recent mission that ended with laughter.
"How was I supposed to know that it was a Domain Expansion!? Didn't even look like one!"
Satoru swears his heart skipped a beat when he heard you laugh.
He was busy drowning in your presence, in your warmth. He didn't know why his stomach was fluttering, why he felt his eyes naturally gravitate towards you. It just did.
Satoru realizes he wants this. He wants more late-afternoon ice cream runs with you; he wants your laughs, to be the one to cause them; he wants to keep being the one to barge into your dorm room and lay on top of you until you start to complain about how heavy he is.
You make him feel alive, you fill him with things to look forward to. He was finally looking past today and tomorrow.
Satoru wants to be alive.
And he wants the reason to be you.
"Satoru?" You turned towards him, noticing how silent he's been.
He snaps out of it quickly, "Your ice cream is melting." He says, casually.
"Shit!" You hiss, only now realizing the ice cream was indeed dripping down your fingers, turning the grooves sticky. You reached for the napkin to wipe it off.
Satoru's ears turned a deep red and heat crawled up his neck when you weren't looking. You almost caught him looking at you like an absolute fool.
He was a complete idiot when it came to love.
"I think I like her." Satoru says to Geto and Shoko as they loitered in his dorm room. There was a deep furrow in his brows and a faint dust of pink on his cheeks as he anticipated their reactions.
Geto and Shoko look at him blankly.
"Congrats, you're the last one to know." Geto responds. Shoko throws another chip into her mouth as if he didn't just admit something that took immense bravery.
"What?!" Satoru exclaims, sitting up on the bed.
"Come on, Satoru, everyone sees how you look at her." Geto continues, one leg thrown over the other as he flipped through a magazine. Satoru's office chair creaked slightly as Geto idly spun around in it.
Satoru stares at his friend like he grew a third head all the way from the bed.
"How I look at her? What are you even talking about?"
Shoko chimes in, "You look at her like she's everything you've ever wanted." The potato chip bag crinkles as her hand digs in for more.
"I do not look at her that way," Satoru huffs. After a second, his voice is significantly softer, "Do I?"
"Yes, you do." Both of his friends answered in unison.
Satoru groans, falling onto his bed and burying his face into a pillow. "Do you think she notices?"
Shoko shrugs, "I think she's just as in denial as you are."
"Or she isn't into you." Geto snickers.
The white-haired teenager lets out a pathetic whimper at that. Shoko rolls her eyes, chewing on a chip.
"Don't listen to him, Satoru." She says.
His head flops on his pillow as he turns to Shoko who was sitting on the floor, "Does she tell you anything?"
"Not a peep." Shoko answers but she knows. It was easy to lie to Satoru—a part of her wanted to see if he was going to man up and act on his feelings.
He groans again, out of pure frustration. He didn't know where these emotions were meant to go and what he was supposed to do with them.
He doesn't know what he'd do in the event that you hate him and decide that you want nothing to do with him.
Even if you did like him back, he still doesn't know what he'd do.
"She's too perfect. Her smile, the way she laughs—speaking of which, how do you make a girl smile? And the way she eats kikufuku mochi—" He rambles, heart spilling out of his mouth in an adoring daze. His soul had your face plastered on it, memorizing each small detail.
Geto throws his head back onto the office chair while Shoko groans loudly.
"If you're going to be this disgusting, I'm leaving." Shoko grumbled.
Satoru couldn't be bothered. A stupid, lovesick smile stayed steady on his face as he imagined scenarios with you.
Once Satoru put a name to the feeling, he was becoming acutely aware of his actions and well, you.
There were things he noticed that he didn't before—like when rooms were too loud, you'd go quiet and that'd become his cue to lead you away; the way your nose crinkles when you smile widely; and how you like to lay down on cold floors after training.
Ijichi was driving the car to the mission location, trying to block out the sound his ears were unfortunately absorbing.
"You look so stupid here!" You laughed, pointing at the printed photos in his hands. Your cheek was practically against his shoulder.
He tried not to make it obvious how your touch was affecting him. Each time your fingers accidentally brushed against his, he'd feel sparks igniting along his skin.
When he noted your aroma, his stomach bubbled with a strange feeling. He found himself leaning towards you and the surprising comfort he felt when you were near.
"I think the word you're looking for is devastatingly handsome." He retorted, trying to ignore the demanding feelings you elicited. He shuffled through the photos he had processed at a shop in Tokyo with nimble fingers.
A particular bad angle of his face and Haibara had you hollering with laughter. Angle from below, taken without any preparation from the subjects.
"This is—" You gasped in between laughs, "This is the best photo!" Your voice cracked at the end before another round of cackles. The sides of your torso began to complain because of how much you were laughing.
Satoru couldn't bring himself to laugh with you.
There was that soft smile on his face, just watching you.
Once you caught his expression, your heart responded by pounding against your chest. The laughter died down to soft chuckles then to nothing.
"Don't look at me like that." You murmured, flustered. A sudden burning sensation seared across your cheeks and your throat tightened.
"Like what?" He asks.
The words died in your throat. "Like—" You could feel your cheeks flaring, "Like—I don't know... Just stop looking stupid." You ended up grumbling.
Satoru huffed out a loud bark of laughter. "Maybe you should stop looking so adorable." He poked your side. Casual.
The both of you stopped.
He stilled, it was as if someone poured cold water all over him. Satoru's face turned beet-red almost immediately.
Did... Did Satoru just call you adorable? Had your body not reminded you of how loud your heart was, you were sure you were in heaven. Sweat formed at your palms.
Seeing the pink on his cheeks made you look away from him because it only established the truth—that Satoru actually called you adorable and meant it.
The playful air that swam in the car was put on a pause—replaced by stiff shoulders and hands adhered to knees. Ijichi looked at the rearview mirror. He bit back a smile. Young love, he thought.
Satoru's finger hovered over the window button on the car door. If it weren't for the mission, he'd already jumped out and hoped for the impact to take him.
"A-Anyways..." Satoru forced a cough, dragging his attention back to the photos in his hand.
"Nanami should have never gotten that haircut." Satoru let out a wispy laugh, attempting to wash away the rigidity he caused by acting cool. Even though internally, he was burning himself at the stake.
"Y-Yeah." You gulped, turning to look at the photos once again.
Though the two of you kept commenting, chatting, and laughing about the photos, both your minds were far far away.
The car jerked to a halt, stopping in front of the all-too-familiar shrine shrouded by the dark night. "We've made it back to the school, Gojo-san," Ijichi announced, busy pulling the stick shift to park.
The assistant's eyes drifted to the rearview mirror. "I'll be sure to report the mission's succes—"
Gojo pressed an index finger to his lips. On his shoulder, you had fallen asleep. The drive to and from the mission was quite long.
The white-haired sorcerer seemed a lot more serious than the usual playful personality he displayed.
Ijichi, a little startled, nodded in apologetic understanding.
Hours ago, when your head fell onto Satoru's shoulder after trying to fight sleep, his whole body froze. His hands were curled into tight fists on his lap, knuckles turning white.
Don't move. Don't move. Don't move. Were the only two words he kept repeating himself throughout the ride. He tried to act natural—worried that you could somehow sense his stiffness in your sleep.
He was even more wrecked when you murmured in your sleep and further curled up against him. He tried to calm his heart in fear of you hearing it.
Eventually, it ended up with your nose against his neck, face buried into the junction where his neck met his shoulder.
Ijichi quietly opened the driver's side door and exited with the goal to assist the young white-haired sorcerer. The assistant rounded the car and pulled open the passenger door, exerting great caution not to jostle or create noise.
Satoru took a second to look at you before carefully hooking his arm under your knees. One long leg exited the car first, followed by the rest of his body and you in his arms.
He adjusted your frame to rest comfortably in his grasp. Your cheek pressed against his chest, hair free from your face. He paused, allowing himself to admire you.
Soft, quiet snores, eyelashes fluttered shut, face muscles smoothened out like you had no worry at all.
Because you did. You'd never have to worry if Satoru were there—he'd make sure of it.
He gives a low thanks to Ijichi before entering the school premises. Cicadas buzzed somewhere in the distance, the gravel crackling under Satoru's feet as he was en route to the student dormitories.
The old lanterns posted along the gravel pathways were the only lights around the space. The gentle sloshing of the pond and beating of the bamboo fountain whispered lullabies into your ears.
Your face pressed against Satoru's chest, soft sighs escaping the small part in your lips. Satoru's heart skipped a beat and his body responded by hugging you closer to him.
Satoru didn't know a single thing about love.
But there was something he was sure of—He wouldn't mind shouldering the burdens of the world if it meant he could hold you like this.
"Was that..." Haibara stuttered, wide eyes peering over a corner. He watched as Satoru carried you to your room.
"Don't say anything." Nanami said in a quiet tone, half-hoping Satoru didn't hear anything—but with his Six Eyes ability, nothing could ever escape him.
Nanami's hand clamped down onto Haibara's collar that shielded his nape, "Let's go." The blonde dragged his friend who was kicking and whisper-yelling at him to let go.
"Satoru what?!" You dropped the half-eaten sandwich, the fillings spilling out onto the concrete. Your jaw had fallen with the snack.
Shoko bent down to collect the drink the vending machine dispensed. "You don't remember? You must have been knocked out cold." She says, carrying a teasing tone despite her weary voice.
"No... I don't remember anything." You gulped, red flushing your face. You quickly picked up the food you dropped.
Truthfully, you did remember a part of it—but you weren't sure if it was a dream or not. Satoru had been appearing in your dreams a bit more frequently the past few days but you didn't think anything of it.
Shoko straightened up, popping the can open, "God, you're just as oblivious as him."
As Shoko began to head down the open corridor with you while rattling on about something that happened in Kyoto, your attention was far from the conversation.
It happened on a day that was too ordinary.
Satoru began to ignore you.
He wasn't there to incessantly knock on your door when the sun was barely up; he wasn't pestering you about joining his afternoon dessert runs anymore; and he didn't hover over you like he did before.
Although he still did interact with you, it was minimal enough for you to notice his absence.
Whenever you'd finish training and seat yourself on a bench, you found yourself looking behind you, expecting a cool towel to land on your shoulders and his cocky grin lingering above you.
But it never came.
Whenever you had a free afternoon schedule, you'd keep it open—going as far as to decline shopping invitations from Shoko and late lunches with Nanami and Haibara.
Then your heart would chip when you find Satoru messing around in the gardens with Geto, Utahime, and every person except you instead.
Satoru's life had far more important people. His life doesn't revolve around you.
But even then, you'd stupidly expect. Although a major part of you had begun to give up the hope that he'd ever approach you again like before, a piece of you still blindly believed.
And so, your afternoons were perpetually available.
As the days passed, you reduced your expectations. All you began to hope for was a mere greeting—a Hi or a Hello whenever you'd pass by each other. Not the smile and nod that he'd give you that left you wondering if him saying Hi to you was too much.
Realistic. The brain was placed above the heart for a reason.
Satoru Gojo wasn't exclusively yours so you had no right to demand anything from him. Not even a simple smile or a greeting.
But that didn't stop the ache in your chest.
You hated how it took his absence to make you realize you loved him.
In crowded rooms, you realized that he was the first person your eyes would settle on; in dessert shops, you caught yourself buying extra sweets to bring back to the dorms just in case he'd want some.
Today, you were going to give him a piece of your mind!
You weren't the type to sulk and wait for him to approach you first. You fought for what you thought was right, you didn't know how to give up.
"Here alone?" The young patissier softly chimed, a small chuckle accompanying his words as he wiped his hands on his apron.
His surprise isn't unwarranted, you only came here with Satoru. It was a relatively small dessert shop, a hidden gem obscured by the gigantic shops in Tokyo.
An array of desserts lined up within the glass encasing. Colorful and perfectly made—the desserts themselves were evidence of the promising patissier's skill.
You nodded with a smile. You tried not to show how your heart dropped a little, "Just me today."
"The regular?" He asks, sidestepping to the transparent case display that housed the sweets.
"Just the box of mochi this time." You watched as he reached into the case, carefully collecting the sweets.
He returns to the counter, presenting to you the box. He opens it, revealing mochi flavors you've never seen before.
"Would you like to try the new flavors? I'm experimenting with more unique and expensive tastes." He asks, "Since you're a regular, I'll only ask for the base price."
If there was anything that could fix you and Satoru's friendship, it would certainly be a box of expensive mochi. Even if it did drain what was left of your pocket money.
"I'll take it."
Armed with 6 pieces of mochi of assorted variety, your subsequent goal was to find Gojo Satoru.
You spot a flash of white by the garden through the window. You quickly pad down the hall, nerves a little on fire.
As the door to the garden approached you, a familiar cocky voice echoed from the garden into the hallway.
"Ignoring her? I'm not ignoring her." It was Gojo's voice, a little muffled as if his cheeks were stuffed full.
"Right. Because what you're doing is the complete opposite of ignoring." Geto chuckles lowly.
Satoru knows you're near, cursed energy that he was all too familiar with running down the hallway. He mustn't be harsh, he consciously thought.
"I don't see her for a couple of days and suddenly I'm avoiding her." He says, coolly and with that teasing lilt that comes off as boastful. "Can't I be busy?"
Your throat tightened and the motivated will in your chest dimmed.
"That's low, Satoru." Shoko's voice follows.
"She can have fun by herself."
Suddenly, the hall begins to appear a little too big and too hostile. Right, he's just busy. It's not intentional. Ignoring you for the past few days isn't intentional.
The box of mochi was forgotten in your hands as you turned a heel and walked away.
Gojo exhales after he feels your cursed energy retreating. But the relief didn't last long when he felt Shoko's harsh slap on his shoulder. "Ow! What was that for?!"
"That's for being a jackass."
Every time Satoru had something to request from you, it was met with a yes from you. You showed up, you waited for him, and you didn't bother him.
Even when you desperately wanted to say no, you were still there. Maybe being softer was better. Maybe someone easier to get along with.
You lost sleep at night, spending hours reviewing the moments leading up to the day you finally realized he was avoiding you.
Maybe you overstepped your boundaries—acted too friendly when you weren't on that level with him.
Maybe you laughed too loud—you knew your laugh wasn't as gentle as others. Maybe he found it annoying? Maybe you talked too much without realizing.
Repeating the thoughts worries only sparked terrified horror.
When he talked to you, it was out of necessity. Missions, Yaga's instructions, and reports were the only topics he'd talk to you about. And of course, you weren't going to talk to him first.
Because if you did, what if he'd hate you more than he already does?
What solidified it for you was yesterday's conversation.
You tried not to break mid-conversation as you wondered what you did to make him stop talking about ice cream flavors and opt for mission briefings instead.
"That'll be all, [Last Name]."
You lifted your head in surprise. Maybe your emotions accidentally showed on your face because his expression softened for a moment before locking into place and promptly exiting the room without looking back.
Not sweetheart?
What did you do? Was it because you were too late?
Your bottom lip wobbled as the mission papers in your hands fell to the ground from your loose grip.
"Ah..." The small broken gasp unconsciously left your lips. You knelt down onto the ground.
Before you could register it, your vision blurred and throat tightened impossibly. There were wet circles on the papers. You slowly collected them with shaking hands.
With the back of your free hand, you pathetically wiped your eyes, dampening the edge of the sleeve.
Tears continued to roll down—days of trying to keep it together crashing down in one moment. You knocked the heel of your palm against your temple in punishment, "Why do you have to mess everything up." You wobbly admonished.
Maybe you weren't as important to him as he was to you.
And the worst part, you missed your best friend.
"Heard Y/N's transferring to our sister school." Shoko gossiped, a cigarette with a burning tip tucked between her fingers.
The only sound that followed was the basketball falling through the hoop and onto the ground, an echoing bounce in the large gymnasium.
"Kyoto?" Geto asked, jogging to get the basketball. Once his palm made contact with the ball, he dribbled it while his eyes trained on the hoop.
"Why's she transferring?" He asked as he leapt and shot the ball perfectly into the rim.
Shoko took a puff of her cigarette, smoke rushing out of her lips. "Don't know. Didn't really ask. But if I had to say, it's probably because of the rising cases of curses in the Kyoto area."
She crosses her legs as she sits on the ground, back against a wall, "You know the Jujutsu High in Kyoto doesn't really have much students."
"It's not like we're a lot either." Satoru gruffly says, stealing the ball from Geto. Their shoes squeaked on the polished flooring as they competed against each other.
Shoko eyes her white-haired friend. "Yeah, but Kyoto needs it more than we do." She tips her head back onto the wall, watching the smoke fizzle from her cigarette.
"When's she leaving?" Geto asks, bumping into Satoru's shoulder as he defends the ball in his hands.
"Tomorrow morning, I think." Shoko sighs, "It'll be lonely without another girl here."
Shoko's head lolls to the side lightly, "Hey Satoru." She calls out.
"You aren't bothered by any of this?" She asks, calm and casual. The smoke from her cigarette wisping into the wind.
Satoru shifts his focus to the movements of the ball entirely.
"Not at all."
The ball was left in the court, unmoving. The sun hung low in the sky before it finally dipped under the horizon.
Satoru stayed in the garden, in a black sweatshirt and loose pants. He sat on a bench—nothing but the cold breeze and the buzzing cicadas accompanied him.
Satoru did not know anything about love.
Your face from the other day was his personal nightmare. The day he made the active decision to call you by your last name.
The way your quiet expression loudly crumbled in front of him made instant regret pulse wrongly in his chest. Your eyes had looked up at him, wide and broken; your jaw loosened, exposing the breaths that thinned.
He ran a hand through his hair in frustration.
He got what he wanted. He pushed you away.
So why did it feel like someone was ripping his heart out?
The festering ache that settled low in his soul gnawed at every waking thought he held in his head. His days felt incomplete.
Satoru was a coward. An absolute coward, afraid of himself.
He tips his head back onto the tree rooted behind him, breathing in the cold air. Despite the solitude, he was never really alone—he was with the ghost of you.
That night where he carried you from the car, opened your door and carefully closed it with one foot, he realized he didn't know anything about being gentle.
But when it was you, learning to be gentle came easy to him.
He placed you down on your bed gently, minding your limbs. He adjusts your legs on the bed, organizes your arms, and even fixes your hair so it wouldn't bother you.
Then with the same care, he slowly undid your shoes and slipped them off your feet. Despite all his actions, you never stirred awake once—even when he accidentally placed your head a little too fast onto the pillow and when his hand slipped and landed on your ankle a little too hard while he tried to undo your laces.
So, imagine his confusion when you held onto the hem of his uniform when he was just about to leave.
"Stay." You murmured, the word slurred with sleep.
Satoru froze.
The silence of the room only amplified hastening beats in his throat, threatening to leap from his mouth. He turned awkwardly, unsure.
"Are you awake, sweetheart?" He asked, crouching down to your level on the bed.
A lock of your hair cascaded from your ear to your cheek. Satoru's body was taut but your eyes remained fluttered shut.
He stared at the misplaced piece of hair like it was his personal enemy.
Without missing a beat, he lifted his hand. But before his fingers grazed your face, he reigned himself back.
He didn't have the right to touch you.
Although it was to make sure you were comfortable, he'd be lying if he said his intentions were purely just for you. He wanted to feel the plumpness of your cheek with his fingertips, to bask in the electrifying feeling that came with the contact.
Selfish. He called himself.
The lump in his throat became suffocating and his mouth dusted dry at the impulsive thought.
It was as if you answered for him. You turned and your cheek unconsciously landed on his palm—barely cupping it.
His lips parted slightly. You were so delicate in his eyes, something to admire. He revelled in the softness of your cheek against his palm. Even mochi wasn't as soft as you.
It was as if Satoru stopped breathing.
"Sweetheart," He whispered, heart thrumming with something that ate at him, "You're killing me."
His thumb, daringly, ran along your cheek in a slightly shaky manner. He used to dream of this scenario—what it would be like to hold your face in his hands. He always carried the thought of what your skin would feel like.
Satoru fully sat on the floor beside your bed. He laid his chin on the edge of the bed, simply addicted to the way your presence made him feel alive.
He sighed, eyes gazing at you with a softness only you could ever arouse from him. The cerulean in them transformed into love letters—a secret language that only you'd be able to understand.
"I'm too selfish, sweetheart," He whispers, shamelessly running his thumb near your eyelashes, "Because all I want is to be with you. Just me."
"It scares me. I've never loved anyone as much as I love you," He admits, eyes steady on your sleeping face, "Scratch that—I've never loved anyone."
Satoru's forehead falls onto the edge of the bed.
"Dunno' what it's like." Muffled and murmured, he asks, "Would you still accept me with all the burdens I carry?"
Somehow, your presence soothes the deepest aches in him. And he falls asleep—rare because sleep only came when safety preceded it.
Satoru stayed until midnight.
Under a different night sky, he was detached from you—completely. The past week without you carved a ravine in his soul.
Satoru couldn't fathom a life without you anymore. He only realized the cold after experiencing your warmth.
What was he supposed to do?
You were leaving tomorrow morning. If you left and he stayed in the garden like a middle school child, he'd lose every and any chance at ever getting close to you again.
Could he handle that? A life without your smile, without you calling him an idiot, without you randomly jumping onto his back while he immediately hooks his hands under your knees.
He's survived hundreds of life-threatening things since he was a child—assassination attempts, special grade curses, you name it.
He never had anything to lose. But now, he did. You.
The thought of remembering only the ghost of you in each dessert and car ride without you beside him terrifies him. What if he begins to miss you for the rest of his life?
His life was dangerous. To pursue you while disregarding other facets would be naive—the Gojo Clan, the eyes that kept watching him, the thoughts in his head.
He thinks he won't be able to handle it if you got hurt because of him.
But the concept of you finding another person wrecks him. He wants to be selfish; God, he wants to be selfish so badly, to take you into his arms and forget about the world.
Maybe that's why he finds himself sprinting across the premises.
Breathless, Satoru first spots boxes of your things stacked outside your dorm room. His heart falls to his feet.
He doesn't break his sprint, he continues to your door. He senses your energy just by the entryway.
"Y/N!" He exclaims.
Except the dramatic scene he imagined in his head didn't turn out exactly as he planned.
He didn't take into account how slippery the floor was. He slid past your doorway, catching a glimpse of your figure, before slamming down onto the hardwood.
"Satoru?!" Your eyes blew open. You immediately dropped the box in your hands and ran to the doorframe.
Hands gripping the frame, you leaned outside to spot your white-haired senior on the ground, groaning. Just as you were about to help him up, he lifts his palm towards you.
"I'm fine." He says, standing up casually.
What a recovery. He thanks himself. No, now's not the time.
"Are you sure? That was a pretty harsh fall." You commented. Your heart picked up slowly as he neared your door.
"I hope you know you're speaking to the strongest sorcerer right now." His smile was toothy but it never quite reached his eyes.
Your eyebrows pinched together, "Satoru." You sighed, "What are you doing here?"
"If it's about the mission reports, I already revised and sent them to Ya—"
"I'm not here for the mission reports." His voice is low. Quiet. It's not a command but not a plea either, something caught in between the two.
You hated yourself for the butterflies that flapped in your stomach, an enemy to the puffiness of your eyes.
"I'm here because," He started. Suddenly, his words died in his throat.
He finally had you in front of him. An invisible tug in his chest screamed at him to say something, anything.
"I'm a complete fool." Satoru says, "An absolute idiot. The worst of the worst. Shoko says my brain is the size of a pea but I think it's the size of a mo—"
"Satoru." You firmly interrupted his rambling.
"What I mean to say is," There's a flush in his cheeks and you notice how tired his eyes have become. "I miss you and I'm sorry."
"And I'm stupid for avoiding you."
So he really was avoiding you for the past week. The sudden grimness that befalls on your face doesn't go unnoticed by Satoru.
His throat hesitates, words too shy to leave his open mouth. His visage is caught between looking like he wants to kiss you and a wince. An internal warfare that manifests in furrowed brows and a tense jaw.
Then suddenly, it looks like he gives up fighting.
"I love you." Satoru says.
It came out quiet at first. You could barely hear it. But you did, the words ran along the rims of your ears before sinking in—it didn't take long for the noise in your head to succumb to the beat of your heart.
"I love you." He echoes, more sure, certain.
"I'm a coward," He begins, hands bracing on your entryway, "I overthink. I run away and laugh it off, pretending nothing bothers me."
"I'm selfish, I'm greedy. I never realized until I met you. With each moment spent with you, I keep wanting more—more of you, more of our silly banters. And when I do get what I want, I selfishly and greedily want more than that."
"I'm inherently flawed. My family consists of practically no one. There's an unfathomable amount of money for my head." He continues, "People try to kill me—all of them fail, of course but still..."
"I don't know a single thing about love, I ruin good things for myself, and I'm never steady."
"But if there's one thing I'm sure about," His gaze bores into yours, "It's that I can take on anything as long as you're with me."
The resolve in his eyes is strong, grounded, "I swear I will protect you. I won't let anyone touch a single hair on your head,"
"I can't promise a normal life with me like other couples." His tone carries regret interwoven in between the words.
The gravitational pull between you leads him to put a foot in the door. He's close enough that you can feel his warmth and catch the scent of his cologne.
Satoru's eyes holds your gaze with an exhilarating intensity, capturing your entirety. He sees through you, connecting beyond the physical realm.
"But I promise to be in the palm of your hand," He murmurs, sacred just for you, "I promise you me."
"Would you let me be so selfish and ask you to accept me with all that I am?" It's almost as if he's asking in a plea.
What he didn't expect was you bursting into tears in front of him.
He stiffens, eyes wide. "Um!" He panics, his hands immediately detach from the doorframe in his alarm.
The white-haired sorcerer stares at you like a deer caught in the headlights. Tears keep rolling down your cheeks as your frown deepens.
And slowly, your frown turns into a shaky laugh. God, he's so stupid.
"Actually!" He nervously chuckles, "Forget I said anything—we can pretend this never happened—"
"I'll get over you. I promise—actually, no, I take that back. I don't think I ever co—"
His frantic words weren't able to leave his mouth in time because you say,
"Can I kiss you?"
Satoru malfunctioned. His face turned cherry red as his heart found the tunnels of his ears. He murmurs a drunken yes, almost turning into vigorous nods, before you crashed your lips onto his.
Your hands find his sweatshirt, fingers curling along the thick material as you pulled him closer to you. Satoru's hands fly to your waist, lips molded against yours.
His hands pull you closer until your chests were pressed against each other's. He could feel the erratic thumping of your heart against his and he knew you could feel his as well.
Your lips were sweeter than anything his imagination could ever come up with. In one moment, all his fears and worries were drowned out—instead, he was drowning in you.
In between kisses, you whisper against his lips, "I love you too, Satoru." Like a man starved, he dives back in for another kiss.
You pull away first, panting slightly. Satoru barely pulls away, as if letting the kiss dance on his lips. The red flush on your cheeks was adorable.
"You're extremely red." He comments.
"Shut up."
"Like wine red—like burgundy."
"Satoru, please shut the hell up."
"Yes, ma'am." He laughs, making a motion to zip his mouth.
Satoru keeps holding you, "Does this mean I'm your... You know..." His face flushes reddens hard at the attempt to even say it.
You giggle, full of emotion, "That depends. Would you like to be my boyfriend, Toru?" You tilt your chin up on his chest.
He brushes your hair past your ears, shamelessly and without hesitation. His eyes gleam with an emotion nothing short of adoration.
"Was my speech not convincing enough? That hurts a little. I practiced it long and hard."
You snorted, "You're ruining the moment, Toru."
"Of course." He answers seriously, "Do you want me to be your boyfriend?"
"Do you need a written agreement?" You joke, "Yes I do, you idiot."
"I accept you and everything about you, Satoru." You murmur, hand reaching up to his cheek. He leans into your palm, savoring the ardency of it, like a man dying.
"If your burdens get heavy, we'll share the load," Your thumb swipes along the skin of his cheek, "Don't worry about me, I'm strong, I'm robust, and far too stubborn to give up." You laughed.
"If the world says it'll lay hell onto us," You say, "Then I say, bring it on." A confident chuckle escapes you.
Satoru looks at you like you hung the moon—the glacial colors in his burned with passion, feverish with the addiction of you.
He responds by lowering his head onto your shoulder, nose pressed against your neck.
"Don't ever leave me, sweetheart."
You chuckle and wrap your arms around his shoulders, pressing him closely against you. "Of course, where the hell would I go if not beside you?"
"Does that mean you're not going to Jujutsu Kyoto anymore?" He asks, looking up at you with puppy-like eyes.
"Kyoto?" You raise a brow, "Why on earth would I go to Jujutsu Kyoto?"
He straightens up, looking at you with a small petulant pout, "Shoko said that you were transferring schools and that you're going to leave tomorrow mor—"
As the confusion on your face deepens, he stops. "You're not going to Kyoto, are you?"
You shook your head, laughter starting to intensify as your grin swells with amusement. "No, I'm not going to Kyoto, Toru." You answered, barely able to keep from laughing.
Satoru pulls away, hand trailing from your waist to your fingers instead, intertwining them without realizing. He turns to the boxes outside your room, "Then what's all this?"
Your laughs turned into chuckles, "They're Shoko's old medical books and notes. I promised to help her sell them tomorrow." You explain, "She doesn't have much space in her room so it's in mine for the time being."
Satoru's smile turns menacing, "Those bastards played me."
He squeezes your hand, leaning in, "But then, I suppose I owe them a little bit." He kisses your cheek.
The blush on your cheeks was immediate, "You owe them a lot, Toru." You laughed as he nuzzles into the side of your face.
"Let's forget about them. I want my girlfriend's attention on me right now." The confession only made Satoru even clingier than before.
The word girlfriend seemed so right to him, he loved saying it—branding your relationship as exclusive, that you're the only one for him. He now had the right to see you shine from beside you instead of from afar.
Laughter was easy when it was with him. The two of you, a tangle of limbs, move further into your dorm. Satoru shuts the door with his foot.
"You're such an attention whore," You rolled your eyes.
"I'm your attention whore now."
"Unfortunately."
He grasps your chin, gently guiding your gaze towards him. You wrap your arms around his neck, unafraid and unapologetic.
"Well, you now have all my attention," You smiled, faces merely inches apart. "What do you want to say, Satoru?"
"I'm sorry. And I love you." He whispers like he can't believe that you were in front of him like this, your heartbeat fully in sync with his, eyes looking up at him expectantly.
"You can give me hell, sweetheart. I deserve it and I can endure it." He murmurs, "Punch me, take all my money, do what you will. If I ever make you feel that way again, don't hesitate to smack me! Put all your force into it too."
You chuckled softly, "Then, can I ask you to buy me food from that dessert shop we go to? Takaya-san said he has a lot more flavors now," Your fingers play with the ends of his white hair on his nape.
"Of course, sweetheart. Anything to make up for me being an absolute fool." He hugs you closer.
You sighed, "Love you, Toru." You kissed the underside of his jaw.
It was as if someone pulled a piece from Satoru's spine. He leans down and flashes a toothy grin, "Are we about to kiss right now?"
"You're so stupid."
Gojo Satoru wasn't looking for love but when it arrived in the form of you, he wasn't about to let it go.
