I made this account to have a little fun while my other roleplay blog is on a bit of a hiatus. I had zero intentions of crossing paths, interfering with storylines, or even trying to overshadow @definitelybuckybarnes . A lot of people like 1940s Bucky so I thought it would be a fun way to pass some time in DMs. No harm no foul.

I was sent the request for identification the morning I made the blog, to which I complied. I didnt do anything with this blog until later in the afternoon, when I reblogged a post from @definitelydaytonwhite that was about 1940s Bucky. Immediately after that reblog I was sent the first DM from @definitelybakermeggi . I apologized and asked a few questions to get a better understanding and to see if there was something I could do without deleting my blog. The mod suggested that I speak with the first Bucky, to which I did. I apologized and asked if we could come to a solution and....well...this is what I got.

Now I've heard things about this particular group, a mix of good and bad. I've also heard things about this mod, all bad. I chose to ignore and try to establish myself into this particular roleplay group to have fun. Again, I had zero intentions of even interacting with the mod of Bucky.

Should I have chosen a different character? Probably but almost every Sebastian Stan and Chris Evans character are taken. That doesnt mean that the mod can throw a temper tantrum like a two year old because someone has the same pink sippy cup as them.

The stream of messages I received showed me a few things. The mod is incredibly whiny, they send others to do their work for them, they are terrified of someone overshadowing their Bucky. I feel that this entire situation could have been handled far differently, and in a less confrontational and possessive mannor. No one wants your Bucky. No one cares that much I promise.

I have been in this scene for a good while now and I have seen things. I've heard things. I've seen groups split apart multiple times and there's always been one person at the center. I've quietly ignored it and have stayed in the corner by myself but I was absolutely appalled by the reaction a new character received. I understand, slightly, where they are coming from but at the same time it is not that big of a deal and as Taylor Swift would say

If they’re not into others taking someone else characters they should go back and apologize to the original Jefferson, becaus they did just that and said they were wrong for feeling like they had been replaced.

I was honestly laughing as I read this. Thank you for sharing and we’ll happily have you as 40s Bucky in the woad community.
