What if Zims PAK was from an old nanny or caregiver class, that has since been decommissioned due to the Irken race recoding for blood and slaves? His PAK would only be considered defective because he received old coding from a class that had been relieved of their rank and recoded into invaders or food service drones or what have you. He wants to love and be loved because his PAK remembers the times when it was capable of those things. This could be why we see him acting like a parent/child with Gir, the Tallest and his other creations? His Invader/Food Service Drone coding messes with his PAKs original coding causing him to be a little all over the place.
