I made it to 2000 before Midnight launched, which was perfect timing because they added this exact item to a vendor for 28 gold 80 silver. So i quit my collecting so that i could have confidence that all 2000 of my Autographed Paintings of Anduin came from the bloodied hands of PvPers and not someone whose AH addon told them the trash vendor item could resell for profit.

Keep thinking about this and like. I imagine Anduin is struggling with the death of his father and the Legion at their door. His advisors are in a frenzy and he feels trapped, unable to take a breath for himself. With Shalamayne still missing on the Broken Shore they are working to find a weapon suitable for their new King. Anduin doesnt feel drawn to any of the ideas thrown his way, and does his own research. He then runs off into the night, disappearing for a week in order to hunt down Garona and claim the Kingslayers for himself.

To his surprise, she isnt that far away. Following the artifact questline, Anduin works with her to stop cultists from handing the city over to demons. In the process, Anduin confronts the beliefs he held about her, the fact the story he was told by his father isn't entirely the full truth. Garona didn't betray his family of her own will. She to this day still struggles with what happened. In many ways she is alot like Valeera, he thinks, if only things had gone better.

In the end, Garona cannot stand the dark feelings the blades bring her, being back in Stormwind, and allows Anduin to take them from her. Shes seen his skills enough to know he can handle them. Anduin, not wanting her to walk away weaponless, hands her the blades he held, a set gifted to him by Valeera when he began serious training as a rogue. They're a bit light in her hands, not a blade she would pick for herself, but when Anduin goes to take them back she refuses. They are closure, and that is a treasure she never expected to find.
