My heart was light, coz the night before i told that he is gona fetch me... I was delighted... Infact, excited... over the moon... Couldnt wait to see his cute little face... It can be small matter fer some... But fer me is a big thing... Being fetched and greeted with a warm hug n kiss with dinner ltr on is what anyone of us need after a tiring morning... But this boi went extra mile to get me flowers... 🌹💐 With u holding the flowers in ur hands and that smile on ur face... It was sheer happiness... Really... I am a Sikh.

And I am not a terrorist.

I need to say, I’m tired of Sikhs from around the world being racially attacked because of extremists who are a minority of a whole different religion.

Sikhs have been confused for being Muslims, mainly because all that the Media show on TV are Middle eastern terrorists who also happen to sometimes wear turbans.

But before I carry on, I need to say, not all Muslims are terrorists. All my Muslim friends believe in peace and are normal people.

But that’s beside the point.

What I’m trying to say is, when you see a man wearing a Turban and has a beard, don’t call him a “paki” , because he’s probably not from Pakistan, most Sikhs are from India. Don’t call him “Bin Laden” , because Bin Laden was never a Sikh, and has no connection with Sikhs whatsoever.

The other week I saw a video on Facebook of a young Sikh boy being bullied because he has a turban.

I wish people understood the reason why Sikhs wear turbans.

A turban is our crown, it’s our uniform. It’s reminds us of our duty to serve humanity and to love all.

How to Stop Over-Thinking

1. Set aside a specific time to think about what is on your mind. 2. Find somewhere you can be quiet and alone, and write down what is bothering you. 3. Allow yourself 20 minutes to think about it – including identifying your feelings, trying to better understand the situation, and thinking through possible ways of dealing with things. 4. Decide to set the problem aside for now, and move on with your day. 5. Any time related thoughts enter your mind say “Stop!” and deliberately distract yourself. 6. Repeat Steps 1-3 at another set 20 minute period in the day. Do not allow yourself to ruminate inbetween these set periods of time.
