I'm having a huge art block and the few things I do make, I'm not happy with. I'm finding other creative outlets though through creating spreadsheet templates and crocheting cute little (giant) animals!

Hopefully I'll get the motivation back to create pretty landscapes again soon!

I need some advice

If you’re an etsy seller or anyone who sells digital items… what do you do when someone purchases your digital item, and turns around and sells their own version of it 4 days later? (It’s honestly an exact copy) I make spreadsheets, I made them for my mom who’s battling cancer at the moment to help keep her health on track and I figured other people battling health issues could benefit from them too. If you’re inspired by my designs and want to make your own, that’s one thing. But if you are going to go make an exact copy and sell it at half the price, that’s so fucking low. The sample categories, the totals, the freebie printable I included, everything is copied.

She had the audacity to make a tiktok asking if anyone has any ideas on how to make HER spreadsheet better. I have an idea, don’t steal from other people!

So what do I do? I filed a DMCA complaint, but I don’t know if it’ll do any good since she copied my idea and made a few slight changes. Is confronting her a bad option? Comment on her tiktoks that she stole my design?
