Sonic wants one normal day. Shadow wants one place he doesn’t feel watched. When a dating site matches them anonymously, their attempt to escape everyone else turns into an accidental date, accompanied by the terrifying discovery that being authentic might be easier together than apart.

Summary:

“You literally can’t even take a joke.” Sonic’s voice raised in volume a bit unconsciously. Shadow took a moment to formulate his response, purposely avoiding Sonic’s eyes to stare at the bubbles in the boiling water, “Well,” he commended, “maybe it wasn't a very funny joke, then.”

Romance is neither Sonic or Shadow's strong suit and they decide maybe they're not all mature enough to maintain a relationship. It's better that way anyways. Until something very inconveniently conveniently forces them to confront each other.

The prompt I followed was “medieval” but I went off the rails and made them a married aristocratic couple

Bear with me on the Latin because I composed it but I think it’s readable/translatable

The first panel translates to among us, six seven, and gotta go fast

The translation of the second panel is
