let me sleep
Anyway this was my entire mood when I saw this tweet
Takes 1 look at Aizawa and immediately turns tf around 2 walk the other way. He knows exactly what happened to those Dabi clones.
Aizawa watches the man turn on his heel and very determinedly walk away just over the edge of his grocery receipt. Hmp. He doesn’t think he has that much infamy with the public.
He goes back to the list, bag in hand. He had bought chives, right? Yes. They’re not in the bag. Damn, he must have left them at the store.
❛ you can miss something but not want it back. ❜
He looks to Hizashi warily– maybe tired. You can miss something but not want it back. That seems to defeat the point, doesn’t it? If he misses it, it should be fixed by having it back.
Still, Mic’s always had a way with words that Shouta just… doesn’t. He’s right, even if he doesn’t want to agree with him at first. He doesn’t want it, and he can’t have it anyways. He folds his arms and leans on the table, defeated.
“Am I just supposed to enjoy the feeling then? Seems useless, not to mention annoying.” He pauses, a sigh escaping him. “It was a lot simpler back then.”

Although most would be tempted to sneak a peak with it placed seemingly so plainly, AOYAMA was very honest, and would never so carelessly betray such trust. Especially when his teacher hadn’t immediately punished him or sent him to bed hungry.
The moment Aizawa asks for the ingredients, the blond rises immediately, shuffling quickly over to the fridge to check it out. They’d have to get some more tomorrow, but three eggs should be enough for whatever the older man had in mind as he takes out the carton, and, clutching it carefully, roots around in the freezer drawer for some frozen peas. There were a couple nearly empty packages that would surely suffice, snatched up in his free hand as he uses his foot to slide the drawer shut and bring the supplies over to his teacher, a hopeful smile on his face.
“– I think this is all we have, but it looks like enough to share!”
“Do you need any other help…?“
Aizawa can’t help but smile faintly at his student’s willingness to help. He pulls the bag of rice out on his own, the pot for it a second later. He fills the pot with water as Aoyama brings him the other ingredients.
“Find a good sized skillet, if you can-- one that will hold a few cups of rice and those vegetables. Then, pour some sesame oil it it until the bottom is coated. We’ll have to wait for the rice to cook before we can go much further.”
He sets the pot on the back burner and turns it on. After sprinkling a pinch of salt into it to help it boil faster, he turns back to his student. He doesn’t know how much the boy will eat, but even if there are left overs, Aizawa is sure that the student wouldn’t be opposed to eating them later if he’s coming down to the kitchenette so late at night regularly.
“Have you made fried rice before?”
magicsp3lls:
“… Oh, okay! ☆ ” Although chipper, it’s obvious that the boy is just as tired as his teacher. Sock-clad feet pad soundlessly against the carpeted floor of Class 1-A’s dormitory building, following Aizawa down the hall.
“I apologize for bothering you, though. The last thing you need to worry about is a student when you have so much else on your plate…“ Despite the fifteen year gap in their ages, AOYAMA was unusually self-aware for someone his age– it came with the neglect, with having to essentially raise himself with minimal help from his family’s servants.
Once they reach the kitchenette, AOYAMA lethargically moves to sit at the little table, violet eyes made all the more vibrant by the dark circles tracing his eyelids. “I haven’t been sleeping very well, so… I suppose I understand what that must feel like.” There was safety to be found in his teacher’s presence; the man had nearly died to protect his class from those awful villains, and AOYAMA couldn’t think of anyone that had made him feel safe in a long time.
He wishes he didn’t have to go, but… He was very busy, and he certainly wasn’t AOYAMA’S father– he couldn’t simply cry and beg him to, though that didn’t even work on his own parents.
“Did you want something to eat, too…? ☆ ”
Aizawa sets his binder on the table, making sure his students’ grades aren’t visible for the other. The last thing he needs is for other students to be comparing themselves against their essays. He hasn’t gotten to Aoyama’s yet, but no doubt if he saw Midoriya’s or Bakugou’s he’d worry about the numbers later. It pays to be safer now, even if it’s tiring. He takes his coffee mug with him to the counter, though. He rinses it out as his student talks, keeping his eyes in the sink. His sleep habits aren’t hard to guess-- the bags under his eyes are more than a tell that he isn’t getting enough of it . The fact Aoyama seems to be struggling with studying and sleep though, not just one or the other, is concerning. Is he loading the class with too much work? He goes about fixing the next pot of coffee before turning to rest back against the counter, arms across his chest. There’s something calming about seeing to his students. Aoyama is no exception. It won’t be too much of a hassle to make something and send him to bed after. “I’ll make us some rice if you could check the fridge for eggs and the freezer for peas.”
