A full-fledged video was NOT what I was expecting but I really, really loved it. I’m glad we got to see more of how her mind was working at her lowest point, J psychology is my favorite psychology.

Also, beyond happy that my fics from December kind of predicted the fact that V brings J her pens to comfort her + the fact that N has a bad GI tract. That’s amazing.

I’m probably far from the first person to bring this up, but I’m so obsessed with this scene in The Muppet Show’s end credits.

The way he’s so focused on his sheet music before realizing the camera is there, only to smile so happily when he sees it. Then, he lets himself have fun before looking back to see the viewer’s reaction. His dog traits fully come through, looking for happiness in someone else’s eyes and the validation that he did well. It fills me with so much joy, I love how his ears flop all over the place. He’s so cute. This is nothing but a Rowlf appreciation post.

When The Muppets leave the theatre to fix a mistake of Fozzie’s, Sam Eagle is left behind to watch over three delinquents: as in, two young children and a teenage gofer.

Another Muppets fic because I felt like it.

I’m on season 2 of The Muppet Show and the friendship dynamic between Rowlf and Miss Piggy feels so underrated in the grand scheme of things.

Whereas Piggy tends to keep her guard up around the other guys that aren’t Kermit, she frequently seems to drop it around Rowlf. Even outside of Veterinarian’s Hospital, she seems so comfortable around him, like she knows she can be herself without being used for her looks or insulted and riled up.

Rowlf doesn’t put her down for her personality. He just treats her with respect and goes out of his way to give her little boosts that make her feel happy and seen. Even when they do clash, it seems more like snarky mocking when opposed to genuine distaste for each other. Whatever they have going on now is so sweet, I actually love them.

Hi, here's a little fanfiction I wrote just for fun after falling down the Muppet rabbit hole. I have no idea if anyone cares about this obscure little penguin, but I do. Summer, you deserved better.

If the other characters in the Cranium Command AU were in the new AU, what would their names be?

Blondetex would be Jack(son). In reality, that comes from the close friend I modeled his personality after. But in universe? He’d trace it back to “The Nightmare Before Christmas”. What can he say? He loves the holidays. (Reference “The Oh of Pleasure”)

General Knowledge would be Knolan Senior. Zero hesitation behind it, it’d come to him immediately. However, he’d refuse to use it when alone with the commandos. It’s either General Knowledge or 50 push-ups.

Hypothalamus would immediately try to name himself Hamlet. The commandos would try to get him to change it to something less brooding and melodramatic, only for Tex to jump in and rename him Harry.

Buzzy would be Bobby Hipo (and then have an immediate identity crisis). As a result, Tex’s last name WOULDN’T be Bobby. He’d go with Brian, playing off of the whole Top Brain thing.

Surprise. Here we go again. 

These two chapters establish and start off the second AU I’m launching for Cranium Command. However, this one is structured, and I plan to take longer with the release of new chapters. Whereas the oneshots focused more on Buzzy and Cortex, I’m trying something completely new: this is Sito-centric and focuses more on her and Neo, as well as the aftermath of those oneshots. (Talking about Buzzy, heads up: he’s still missing in this and nobody actively goes looking for him. He’s very much a part of the story, but don’t expect to see his face. Literally.)

Full transparency because I do feel like it’s necessary.

It’s honestly so difficult to work on something when you don’t have your entire heart in it. I’m usually a very structured person, but when it comes to hyperfixations I just end up all over the place. I’ll never abandon an unfinished work, but it just sits on my shoulders like a massive, stressful weight until I manage it. However, said “management” just doesn’t feel passionate and that frustrates me so bad. I want all my love to go into my writing and when it doesn’t, it’s agitating and I ultimately end up feeling like dejected trash.

However, it’s normal. It happens. At the end of the day, writing for yourself is the most important thing. Your happiness is priority, and the concepts at hand aren’t going anywhere. Full motivation comes and goes, and there’s no use in forcing it. However, always try to find value whatever you come up with while under said circumstances. Make meaning of it so it can be used for later improvement, when your head’s in the right place.

Is Flapjack's Real Father was Captain George he was French pirate he was died at burning Pirateship

Knowing the morbidity of the show, I feel like that’s a backstory they’d actually go for. They’d have a full length episode about Flapjack searching for his father, only to come across the sole survivor of the incident who goes, “Yeah, uh...he DIED.”

I don’t even think they’d take the reveal all that seriously because that’s just how the writing is, but I can absolutely see it serving as a major turning point for K’nuckles where he finally steps up.

What if there was an alternate version where Cortex somehow finds out about Buzzy and wants to take revenge on him for replacing him? We fw villain Cortex?

I totally get why his personality would lead to a well-constructed AU like this, but I personally can’t see it based on how I interpret the character.

Cortex absolutely strikes me as someone who’s emotionally fragile. He undoubtedly carries a lot of anger regarding that replacement, but instead of taking it out on others, he seems like the type to take it out on himself.

An example of his severe distress and self-blame when faced with failure is actually in the demo audio, when he’s under the impression that he got Bobby in trouble with the principal. If you listen closely, his voice breaks and he sounds like he’s about to start crying. You can hear the exact moment that cocky, confident front collapses, and I built a lot of my characterization for him based on that. (More text under the video)

Cortex talks so much trash about the corporation in my AU, but what does he actually do to take it down? Nothing. He concludes that he can’t do anything out of fear (which he isn’t wrong for), and that wrath and sorrow end up psychologically harming him, and him alone. If he were to execute a revenge plan on Buzzy, I think something similar would go down.

Cortex could so easily launch an attack on him, only for Buzzy’s unwavering kindness, apologetic nature and encouragement to keep moving forward in life to straight up crush that ego and amplify that pain and self hatred. It would absolutely come back around to bite him, Tex is NOT winning that one. No matter how you look at it, though, post-rejection Cortex is TRAGIC and it’d be really cool to see him get fully fleshed out as the actively vengeful type.
