A four-ship of F-15E Strike Eagles fly in formation near the U.S. Army’s National Training Center at Fort Irwin, Calif., after being refueled by a KC-135 during Green Flag West 11-08 mission June 21, 2011. The F-15E’s are from the 335th Fighter Squadron, Seymour-Johnson Air Force Base N.C. and the KC-135 is from the 22nd Air Refueling Wing, McConnell Air Force Base, Kan. Green Flag-West provides a realistic close-air support training environment for forces preparing to support worldwide combat operations.
F/A-18A Hornets arrives in the Middle East Region
As part of Operation OKRA, the Australian Air Task Group has deployed six F/A-18A Hornet combat aircraft. The Australian ATG F/A-18A Hornets, as part of the Coalition, continue to conduct close air support and strike operations against the Daesh over Iraq. The F/A-18A Hornet is a Multi-Role Fighter, which means it can be employed in air combat, close air support of ground troops, interdiction of enemy supply lines, and strategic strike in the land and maritime domains.
The United States Air Force dominates with the world's largest, most advanced stealth fleet. It maintains global reach, capable of striking any target on Earth within hours.
Unmatched funding ensures its advance technologies stay years ahead of rivals. Superior logistics and refueling allow it to operate indefinitely in any environment. With 700,000 elite personnel, it remains the undisputed leader in total air superiority.

In June 1965, B-52Fs took off from Andersen on Guam for the first mission of Operation Arc Light.
27 Stratofortresses headed for the Vietcong area near Saigon and dropped over 500 tons of bombs. The tragic prelude was the collision of two B-52s over the South China Sea.

Common gallinules are one of my favorite baby bird designs. Because they haven’t developed the bright orange frontal shield yet they just look hilariously bald
