So, I got to be honest in all of my years working in restaurants and hotels and various other food service operations I never experienced such poor customer service as I did today at Kohl's in Warwick RI . @kohls #kohls
I went to the store today to return an Amazon product and once I returned the product they got a 25% off coupon . So I decided to see what was available And I found that the Scott brothers products were discounted for 85% and there was a bench and a table runner that I was going to buy .
I went to the self-scanning price check to see how much the bench would be as it was marked down to $38 .
When the self-scanning price kiosk did not work I use the phone next to it be'cause the kiosks said if it didn't work to call customer service . When I dial 0 an associate answered the phone and I explained my situation She said she would send someone right over I waited 15 minutes an announcement came over the loudspeaker that the store was closing so I used the phone again But this time I was told that this phone is to be used for in house only and when I questioned if someone was coming I was told to F off . That's right the FU was given to me by a customer service associate .
Finally, an associate came to me and told me the price with the discount I ask if the 25% coupon would be honored to that price I was told yes .
When I got to the register I explained the entire situation Presented as a 25% off coupon and told that it would not be honored and that If I didn't like it I could not buy it .
So I didn't buy it I then went on the Kohl's app to explain my situation I had to talk to three associates on the app each time getting disconnected and re explaining this story finally the app disconnected me and no one is responding.
Where has customer service gone when is it all right to curse at your customers and tell him that you don't care about them and that you don't want them to buy the product ?
No wonder brick and mortar stores are going out of business I never have problems with Amazon Any problems are resolved seamlessly and quickly perhaps I should buy everything online and never step foot in a store again if this is the way I'm going to be treated .
