Yep! They’re all alive. One of the females we raised from an egg eclosed from her cocoon, and 40+ males came onto our porch in search of her, attracted by her pheromones. As adults, they do not have mouthparts, so they only live as moths for about a week and then die after mating. They do all their eating as caterpillars and tend to be very lazy as adults in order to conserve energy.

If you move very slowly, carefully, and deliberately, you can coax them onto your finger without startling them into flight.
