so far i've invited my entire friend group of 4 people, 2 people outside my friend group, and all of my moots on tumblr to live in a nyc loft that i'm not even close to acquiring

maybe the reason why i wanna move to nyc is because the first time i saw a pride flag being flown in public was there. i saw people dressing in ways that would get them side-eyes in my country, people being themselves and not some cheap version they get off h&m. even the graffiti that dappled the buildings were something i hadn't seen before. i saw people of all the colours of the earth working hard to stay in their dream city, which was probably the most inspiring thing i've seen.

then i realised even though where i live now is a city, it can never be as unrestrained and flavourful as nyc

Absolute Batman #22 spoilers

A.K.A. the issue that proves that Harley really is Bruce's all in one Robin in this universe

1) Fighting alongside him with acrobatic skill and brutal force while being armed with a plethora of weapons (Dick and Jason)

2) Being his snarky tech support that will call him out when he's being in over his head for not listening or being too dumb to see that he's being too reckless. (Tim and Damian) I find it funny how she's built stuff for him but also makes it a point she can turn it against him if she wants to.

3) You even got them manhandling each other because of conflicting ideals and goals with one being emotionally unstable and/or tunnel visioning while the other person tries to stop them from hurting themselves (Batman and pretty much any member of the batfam whenever there's an event that tests their relationship like Gotham War, the Failsafe arc etc.)

4) She's also the daughter of a villain (Steph and Damian) with her mother having ties to the Joker (Jason again) and I'm not sure her relation to Joker confirms this but it could also mean that she might have powers too (Duke) but it's not really clear yet so I'm not holding my breath on this. I wonder if Harley will get a demon form like Jack, wonder what that'd look like. Might be a drawing idea in the future

5) You even have them "breaking up" as a result of Bruce pushing them away because he wasn't in the best headspace at the time and couldn't listen to reason which inevitably hurt them even though they were trying to help him

I hope we get more of these two in the future. On one hand, I'd like to see them make amends and become a dynamic duo again but on the other hand, I like the angst and drama for the characters.
