Bad Movies, Worse Weather || Giovanni and Mars [Event]
"Wonderful!~" The redhead clasped her hands together; she very much liked the idea of spending some time with the man. There werenât very many people in the theater she could vibe with, and something inside of her had a hunch she and this âGiovanniâ had something in common. Just what that was, she wasnât sure of at the moment.
Beginning to walk in a direction away from the crowd, she tilted her head for him to follow. As he did, she girlishly placed her hands behind her back, lacing her fingers in a dainty fashion. Body language was key - if she wanted to impress the man, sheâd have to play up her charms. This, however, would have to take a lot of work on her part.
Film posters aligned the walls of the theatre lobby, covering nearly every square inch with vivid imagery. Bright colours contrasted with the dull shade of paint on the walls; pictures of Pokemon along side famous faces - including Nimbasaâs very own Elesa - kept the eyes very busy.
She stopped in her tracks, looking intently at what was currently playing. âHmmm,â she muttered slightly; it was the first occurrence during her time with the gentleman that her guard was dropped completely. Unfortunately, Mars wasnât big enough of a movie buff to make an esteemed decision on the spot. But, if Giovanni was really asking for her opinion, sheâd do the best she could to give him a solid one.
"I hear Body Snatching Bibarel III is decent,â she shrugged. Watching his eyes process the images before them reminded her to put back on her poker face and speak more confidently. âI mean, that is, if youâre into horror movies. I saw Paradise Sootopolis earlierâ Mars pointed to the poster. On it were two actors, adorned in exotic garb, jewels decorating their foreheads. âIt wasnât worth a damn, in my opinion.â
"But Iâm sure you have much better taste than I do â€~â She chuckled deviously, grinning at Giovanni with a playful twinkle in her eye. She decided to go in for the kill. âIf you wouldnât mind, perhaps we could watch something, together?â
He gazed at the young woman in front of him. Of course he was going to say yes. But he did not want to come off as too excited. He liked keeping some of the mystery still there.
"Yeah... Yeah, we could do that." He told her as he continued to walk through the theater. "We just need to find a movie first."
"I agree with your sentiments though, neither of those movies sounds like they'd be all that entertaining. So let's keep walking. We're bound to find something."
They walked all around the theater before finding anything. It was not necessarily a bad thing however, because they still enjoyed the time spend together trying to find something. They heard the sounds of the storm outside, it was still raging fiercely, signifying that they would still be there for some time. But the more time Giovanni spent with this woman, the less he cared about the storm.
It wasn't until they approached one of the last screens that they found something remotely watchable.
"Hmmm. Unovan Hustle. I have heard some great things about this movie, come award season it's supposed to be a front-runner. Let's check it out!" He told her as he rushed in, not giving her the time to voice her opinion.
He wasn't trying to be assertive. He just naturally takes charge of situations like this. He picked the movie, and he even picked the seats in the theater. But he that does not mean he is without manners. He held the door open for her and let her get to her seat before he could get to his.
The movie hadn't started yet. In the time they had left, Giovanni thought he would get to know his new friend a little bit better?
"So, are you from here, or did you just want to see the big city?" He asked .
