Homes of the Duchess of Cambridge Throughout the Years
After returning from Amman, Jordan, the Duchess of Cambridge attended Bradfield Church of England Primary School until the age of 8. After that, she began attending St Andrew’s School, in Pangbourne, where she started boarding two years later. In 1991, Catherine even saw her future husband for the first time, when he came to play a hockey match at her co-ed school.
Catherine has described the time she spent at St Andrew’s as the happiest time of her life. When she left the school at 13 years of age, she told her mother, Carole, that she wanted to return to be a teacher. While this didn’t happen, she did return in 2012 to open the school’s new hockey pitch. During her time at St Andrew’s, Catherine took part in school plays and broke the school’s high jump record, which she still holds to this day.
