I… I just had to explain to my fucking mother why a 17-year-old shouldn’t be dating a 27-year-old (this was following on from a conversation about Call Me By Your Name). I know that she has been in a number of toxic relationships, and dated a 24-year-old when she was 16-17, and this could be skewing her view of age gaps and healthy relationships; all the same, I’m majorly grossed out that she thinks that a ten year age gap is okay when a fucking child is involved.

Lembas : Waybread

Okay so I came across this in the Silmarillion

So apparently giving out Lembas is a Big Thing, so big that in Doriath only Queen Melian was allowed to hand it out and it showed immense favour to the one who recieved it.

Consider:

- Galadriel was Melian’s student for a time.

- She gave the Fellowship lots of Lembas, to the point Frodo and Sam had it all the way up to Mordor.

-Pippin said he ate four entire things of Lembas when they left Lothlorien

-Legolas probably was screaming on the inside at all the ancient lore references (Including the hair bit)

-Aragorn probably knew since he was raised by elves which explains the grin more as more than just exasperation.
