why do i treat this man like a side character in a popular fandom that said one line about one thing one time
it’s like lupin from harry potter, he says he likes chocolate and BAM now it’s his whole personality. bro will be like yeah i walked down the street and i’m like man so this guy invented streets 🥵🥵🥵
i was saying, evermore is my comfort album. when i am at my worst, feeling hopeless and stressed and all those bad things. folklore is finding happiness through that sort of sadness, which i think is the best feeling. actually, i think folklore may just be about feeling strong emotions.
fearless is pure, unfiltered happiness. lover is happiness too, but it is the kind that feels overwhelming, like a damn that is about to break. red is the most difficult album for me to place but i think it is of a muted sort of heartbreak. folklore feels too raw so red is more muted and the first steps into acceptance.
midnights is white noise
reputation is dirty thoughts. and i know gorgeous and call it what you want are quite literally my favorite love songs, but rep is about that strain in your body and stomach and that need, that angry, pulsating need.
i never listen to debut :p
speak now is for when i listen to fearless too many times and get sick of it. speak now is like walmart edition fearless.
it's always so fascinating and heartbreaking when a character in a story is simultaneously idolized and abused. a chosen prophet destined for martyrdom. a child prodigy forced to grow up too fast. a powerful warrior raised as nothing but a weapon. there's just something so uniquely messed up about singing someone's praises whilst destroying them.
