AHU STAINED GLASS!!! My sister wanted to see an Ahu stained glass and gave me some composition ideas, and I was inspired by one of them so I was finally able to make a new stained glass piece! Note: I dunno how to draw chunky little dogs (or dogs in general) lol but I had fun making this!
Ahu is so cute. I can't believe the fat old dog is ranked fourth for me. Seven human heroes rank below a fat old dog in my heart. That is kind of absurd. He was in two episodes. I love this hardboiled gent so much. He is so underrated.
5/11 stained glass pieces done! Coming up with compositions is the hardest part of making these for me, so if anyone has any ideas for the six I'm still missing (Lin Ling, Loli, The Johnnies, Ghostblade, Dragon Boy, and X), feel free to fire suggestions my way through whichever means is ideal for you!
Hey look, a XiaCheng doodle. So like I've been struggling a lot with art and energy and sleep lately. I have determined that, after a very short and irregular run, it is for the best that I just not continue doing Kind-of-Daily Yang Chengs. Which I figured would happen even faster than it did tbh lol. Tragically, I started it right at the tail end of a long streak of inspiration, motivation and enjoyment drawing for hours on end every day... but I am not clairvoyant and did not know at the time that the streak was just about to end. Alas, I now struggle immensely to actually draw anything at all. I keep starting things and not finishing them, or doodling something and being like "k yeah that's enough *deletes drawing*." So um. Yeah.
I'm still gonna draw Yang Cheng cuz he's my pookie, but I'm just not gonna try to stick to any sort of schedule and do things the normal way again. And I am also still trying to draw XiaCheng stuff because no one is feeding me so I have to make my own food. The only problem is that cooking is a pain in the ass and I'm not good at it!!! I be doin' my best. Also still working on fanfics that are taking ages to write because I hate myself and can't plan fics without them becoming novels teehee. 🫶
With that out of the way, I humbly beg you artists and writers to feed my ship and send the content my way kk thx mwah cya. 🙏✌️
Kind-of-Daily Yang Cheng/E-Soul day 24. Just one expression today: 1E. It's hard to translate the 100 faces meme expressions into a slightly less cartoonishly exaggerated style lol. On one hand, it makes the expressions look less... expressive, but on the other hand, ain't no human's mouth sliding that high up the face—especially on only one side.
Aside from doing 1E today, I made small edits to some of the previous expressions for my own satisfaction, and I've been trying to work on some other stuff too.
Kind-of-Daily Yang Cheng/E-Soul Day 23. I was asked to do 5H and 9E so voila~
Actually struggled a lot to make them look right. Expressions are so easy to get wrong. Simply tilting an eyebrow at slightly the wrong angle can change the emotion entirely. Buuuut I think this is good enough lol. If anyone has suggestions for the next ones, lemme know and I'll see what I can do. I wonder if I should post my updated chart alongside the template from now on...?

My sleep has been so bad, gang. Lately I be feelin' hella 2D, 3D, and 7D. Maybe one day I can just be a 1A lol.
Kind-of-Daily Yang Cheng/E-Soul day 21! Because I've been feeling uninspired recently, I decided to make things more simple for myself while still trying to learn things along the way. So I am incorporating the 100 faces challenge into my Kind-of-Daily Yang Cheng/E-Souls! Doing this helps me practice expressions better (because that's something I don't feel very confident in) without having to worry about compositions or angles or perspective or drawing the exact same thing over and over out of habit or coming up with ideas (this is the worst part of the process for me when it comes to art). With that said, today I drew 1A and 1B. Hopefully I can actually make this a slightly more daily thing now—at least when my sleep schedule permits it. On god I need a new brain. This one is defunct. I feel like a walking corpse lately.
Kind-of-Daily Yang Cheng/E-Soul day 20. He's angry at me because I said I'd do daily drawings of him but they aren't daily. He's also angry at me because I can't finish a XiaCheng drawing and make his dreams come true. Sorry, pookie. I'm trying. 😔
Day 19 of Kind-of-Daily Yang Cheng/E-Soul. I think about this situation a lot. How does bro even cope? I'd go mad straight away.
I actually started drawing this the morning after posting day 18 buuuut where does the time even go and why does it feel like I spend half of it lying in my bed even though I sleep so poorly? Oh drat I've remembered as I'm typing this that I have plans around noon and it is 4am now. I suppose it's time to go and sleep poorly some more (bad time to also want food (bad time to also remember that I forgot to take my medicine lmaooo guys I am so cooked I am a mess)).
Day 18 of Kind-of-Daily Yang Cheng/E-Soul.
Just pretend that there aren't anatomical errors and pretend that the outfit is accurate (I drew it from memory).
Just a sketch today because I have been grinding on my animation project. It's coming along nicely, but still a lot of work to do. 👀
Kind-of-Daily E-Soul/Yang Cheng Day 17. This one is kind of dishonest because it's actually a WIP frame (because I've been editing Yang Cheng's costume in every frame to make it more accurate to the 3D model...) from an animation I've had on the backburner for months and finally started working on again over the past couple of days. I've deliberately avoided posting any WIPs of it so far because I wanted to be all hush hush about it until the seeds of my labour bore fruit... but I need to post something of Yang Cheng or I'll probably die of a curse in my sleep. So here! My two favourites of the Top 10/11 being nerds together. Pink and blue. Tall and short. Self-conscious and self-assured. Poor and—yeah I'll stop there.
So far in this animation, I have lines and colours for Cyan, Queen, The Johnnies, and Ghostblade complete, and I'm just about done with Yang Cheng and Luo Li (they've been the most complex to work on so far because of both their costumes and their movements (the rest have simple looping animations but YC and Luo Li don't so they have more frames than the rest (especially Luo Li omg girl...))). I also have Lin Ling's lines and colours almost complete, but I can't finish him until I get the rest of the Top 10/11 planned out properly. Which I can't do rn because I'm having timeline issues lol. For some reason my entire canvas goes blank when it hits a certain point in the timeline even though I have active frames with content past that point, and it worked perfectly fine in the beginning. Idk, I'll figure it out somehow.
Day 16 of Kind-of-Daily-Yang-Cheng/E-Soul. Yes, 16 even though it says 15. I somehow lost count and did day 14 twice lol. It will be fixed next time.
Thanks to @generictbhxsideblog for the idea of Yang Cheng studying for his Technology and Electronics class! If anyone else also wants to give me ideas or things they wanna see, feel free to let me know. I am horrible at coming up with my own ideas but I also don't like to be too repetitive because I can and will just draw the same simple angles and poses every single time out of comfort.
Hi, pardon my missed days—I have no choice but to draw XiaCheng for myself because there isn't enough of it in circulation. The XiaCheng economy is a desert and I need to stumble across an oasis fast or I'll die of dehydration. I am so thirsty. Someone, please quench my thirst. Just a sip, please...
(On the bright side, the XiaCheng piece I've been working on has proven to me that my recent endeavour into studying how to draw better has not been for naught. 🥳)

Day 14 of Kind-of-Daily Yang Cheng/E-Soul! Shoutout to @generictbhxsideblog for the idea of him petting the cat he saved. ✌️
Took liberties with the cat because there is literally one still shot of it and I also don't know how to draw cats particularly well so if it doesn't look correct enough, we can just call it that cat's cousin lol.
Day 14. Thought process for this was "maybe it can be like the ambiguous period after he becomes the one and only E-Soul so he's not completely dead inside yet because he hasn't been Rock's dog for long enough but also he's really starting to get on that grind because he has nothing left except his career" or something like that lol.
Good thing I was in the mood to draw today. There was absolutely no tangible process for this. I lined some of it, blocked shapes in for the rest and threw a border effect on the shapes to make it look like I lined them, used like 5 multiply layers and just as many light/glow layers so I wouldn't make unfixable mistakes, merged everything and drew on top to add/fix things, blurred half of it, drew more details on a new layer because everything was already merged, put noise on it and called it a day. And then I uncalled it a day because I realised that I forgot to draw scars again so I did that and then called it a day. I did so much back and forthing on this and most of it was guesswork and experimentation lol. Slowly but surely figuring out things I do and don't like. Discovered a new brush I like to use for lines so that's another tool on the belt.
Okay time to write fanfiction again because apparently my only hobby is being a weeaboo. 🤷
Kind of Daily Yang Cheng/E-Soul day 13. I think lmao.
This took ages. I decided to try drawing from a couple of angles I struggle a lot with and therefore hate drawing. I didn't have any references for the high angle so I didn't know how the unholy fuck to draw his hair from above. I think I kind of figured out something workable though, idk man. The faces were hard to make look right too, but I think what I settled with turned out okay. Certainly better than how they looked before I changed them 50 times each. It was a good learning experience though! Figured out some stuff that makes it a little easier for me to draw these angles which is good. Or at least specifically Yang Cheng at these angles which is still okay lmao.
