I see a lot of people happily surprised about Adam and Abel being shown together on the new pride merch and how Adam must have actually loved him, but like I genuinely don't believe Adam didn't like Abel. The two comments we have on it come from Lute directly or from the version of Adam that Lute is hallucinating. And Abel acquiescing to Lute saying that he knows Adam didn't like him, well, to me that just reads as a son who personally never felt like he could live up to his father's image. We have no canon proof of the real Adam saying anything one way or the other about any of his kids, let alone saying that he hated any of them.

What I think is more interesting...... These holiday merch items are always canon compliant when it comes to when they are released in relation to what episodes/season have been released. Sir Pentious being in heaven, Angel being stuck with the Vees, etc. So to have Adam alive and present in the same artwork as redeemed Pentious, where Lute is noticeably NOT present to be hallucinating him, implies to me either that the man is not perma-dead, or his memory has also been haunting Abel. Either way, the existence of him here specifically foreshadows his continued importance to the narrative as it relates to Abel directly, and I don't know if that scares or excites me ToT

I just learned that fireflies live up to two whole years as larvae in the soil before they mature into adults, and then they only live an additional two weeks maybe a little bit more. they spend their whole lives in the dirt then they spend the end of their lives shining and being the friendliest little beetles on the planet. I love them so much

actually my big TADC theory is that they are actually all C&A employees or adjacent but Caine removed those memories. also time passes very quickly in the Circus, new humans are going in to see why existing users aren't "waking up" or leaving, but from the outside it's only been a matter of hours or maybe days.

People drawing pre-Circus Kinger and Queenie as middle aged or older I totally see your vision but I completely saw them as 90s tech startup types in maybe their late twenties/early thirties. Dreaming of spending their future together. Growing old together. Imagining the children they'd have, the lives they'd lead, the places they'd see, the impact they'd have on the world. In a tragic sort of way they did kind of get all that. They (or at least Kinger) just had to grow old in the Circus.

their physical bodies being perfect replicas of their sense of self (for better or for worse) makes abstraction even more terrifying like it isn't just giving up it's literally losing your sense of self its losing a grip on your humanity its a complete corruption of their id. their mind files are who they are now, if those are damaged from despair or twisted beyond recognition, there's nothing left.

I think it would be really funny devastating if the radiostatic flashback scene we saw was extremely skewed and not accurate at all. like that that is just how vox has grown or chosen to recollect it. like yes he probably did propose a partnership and alastor did turn him down. but what if he wasn't so uwu and friendly about it and alastor wasn't as horrible about rejecting him? what if vox was giving off way more predatory vibes than what we see, which would align more closely with how he was in life, and alastor could smell the danger in the air?

if vox has been obsessing over this interaction for nearly 70 years, he's bound to have started painting it in whatever way makes it easiest for him to handle, especially if he truly did care about alastor and was broken by their split. it's easier to see himself as the innocent party, the one who did nothing wrong, easier to see alastor as the one soley responsible for the pain he felt. I'm sure alastor wasn't "nice" about it, but it's obvious that he cared for vox in his own way and while he was always going to reject him, he does not seem to get pleasure by being overtly cruel to those he might consider friends, so his actions seem completely overblown. almost like when you've been ruminating on something over and over and just making it worse and worse and worse in your head.

and coming to this line, the one that doesn't really seem to match up with vox's behaviors we've seen, and alastor just looks so ... sad when he says it. vox being in denial and making excuses and lying to himself about how he got where he is, blaming everyone but himself for the pain he feels? I think that would be an insane route to take for a vox redemption arc but so incredibly plausible.

it didn't happen as much in S2 (or at all I don't think), I hope they bring back the background radio voice effects for Al, or like how his microphone spoke in the pilot. they're goofy little antics and I know he was going through it this season but I hope he can be a lil goofy again
