It was just another birthday to him. Sure, his friends wouldn’t be able to throw him a surprise party this year (which wasn’t even a surprise anymore, since they have been doing it every year for years), but it was okay. When the whole incident with Xeras happened and Kat had to leave Domino, he had decided to go with her. A decision he did not regret in the slightest. He loved Kat, and he would go to the ends of the world and through the deepest depths of hell for her.

She quickly uncrossed her fingers when he took her hands, having a small smile.

“Really? Enough for your birthday, I hope,” she said with a soft chuckle.

Freeing her hands, she rested them on his hips. “Your turn now. I’m not going to be the only one naked here.”

When her hands rested on his hips, he reached up to kiss her forehead. “Yer always enough, and ya always will be”.

At her ‘request’, he chuckled, swiftly getting rid of the towel and making it drop to the floor. “There, now we’re both naked”. Joey rested his arms around her shoulders as he held her close, nuzzling the side of her head.

The voice of a nurse could be heard and Kaiba let escape a grunt. Finally, when he was alone he talked again with a low voice. "I'll not say it twice but... I miss you. Ugh...damn those painkillers."- grumpy

He remained quiet when he heard another voice in the background, and he had a small smile at the other’s words. “Yeah, miss ya too. Ya big idiot. See ya soon”.

He sighed again. “Yeah I know, was dumb to think ya’d listen to a small request”. He was quiet for a bit again. “I’m just worried something’ll go wrong while yer on the plane, but I guess. See ya in a few days then, I guess”. He really wanted Seto to take a few more days of rest, even if Joey missed the other quite alot, Seto’s health was a hell of a lot more important.

"Three days of rest is enough." No, not really. But he didn't want to stay in this country more than necessary. "And once arrived, I'll stay in the medical floor. But I can't let Mokuba deal with KaibaCorp alone much longer." -grumpy

“No it is not”. Joey sighed. “Mokuba is doing great, and Isono is also being a great help. Ya gotta rest, Seto. Please?” He understood that Seto wanted to get back as soon as possible, but that didn’t change the fact that he got shot, and needed his rest.

He had a sigh. When he talked again, his voice was softer. "Joey. Calm down. I'm okay, I'm not dead. My jet has a bed, I'll be careful, okay? There is no need to think about what could happen. I'll be back soon." -grumpydragon

He was quiet for a bit. “I don’t like ya travelling again so soon. I’m worried”, he said softly, clutching the phone in his hand. “I’d rather ya take some more rest first”.

"I said to not panic!" he grunted before stopping a moment, as he was silently swearing, holding his side. "Yes they caught him, he's alive though, and I'll not change my plan. I'll still take the jet in three days." -grumpydragon

“Are ya sure ya should be flying right now?! Ya need to rest!” He was still half screeching as he said this. “And ofcourse I’m panicked, ya got shot! What if they’d hit ya on a more vital spot?! Ya would have had more than a little pain in yer sides!”

He let escape a grunt. "Don't panic, let me explain. Someone tried to kill me when I was on a walkabout. Obviously, he didn't know how to shoot. He hit me on the side and I already went into surgery, I'm fine, so no need to worry. Just... don't look at the news on the TV, they filmed everything." It seemed to be what annoyed him the most -grumpydragon

“Ya got WHAT?!”, he screeched in a high pitched voice. Shot?? Surgery?? “Did they catch the guy?! How long do ya have to stay in the hospital?!” Despite Seto telling him not to panic, he was not calm, running a hand through his blond locks in a panicked manner.
