i like to read, draw, write, cry in the middle of the night for unclear reasons, re-read the same sources until they lose meaning, and daydream excessively. i also have a well-documented tendency to get irrationally irritated when people misread, oversimplify, or aggressively attack george iv. consider this both a warning and a personality trait.

I just heard a historian on a program say that George IV was the worst King that England ever had.

What?

You have in contention Richard II, Edward II, even Edward VIII, and you think George IV was the worst?

Yes, George was dissolute. Yes, he imperiled the succession. Yes, he spent too much money. Yes, he got into fussy battles with his Ministers.

But he was nowhere near the worst.
