Nick panted, catching his breath from what had just happened. “Y-Yeah, looks like it.. Are you okay..?”

He didn’t like this feeling that he was.. well.. feeling right now. He didn’t like it at all. He didn’t like the fact that she was pulling away and avoiding him. Nick saw this motion, his ears perking up at the sniff. No no don’t cry please- His eyes focused on the back of the bunny, a frustrated groan escaping through his teeth. Just say it Nick. Just blurt it out and get it over with.
He thought for a second that she could be faking it, but what if she wasn’t? He couldn’t take that risk.
He took a moment to gather up his courage, deciding to just close his eyes and say it. To not look at the other animals around them. “Judy..” He grit his teeth for a second, choking on the words a bit. “..I love you..!” The words finally came from his mouth, his eyes remained shut, but he managed to peek at the bunny for a second. Was that good enough..? He sure hoped it was.
Judy stopped as he said her name, glancing at him before clicking a button as he said those words. Then she walks to him, wrapping her arms around him tightly, her cheek pressed against his shirt. “I love you.” Nick’s voice came out, and then again, and again. The bunny holds up her recording pen, a smiling weakly up at him. “I’m going to use this as your new ring tone.” She told him before quickly putting it into her pocket so he couldn’t get it or delete it. “Dumb fox, I love you too.” She told him before hugging him tightly again, ignoring the other animals around them. “I’ll give you two boxes of blueberries for that too.”
Nick was cut off guard by the hug, opening up his eyes to look down at her. Then he heard those words being repeated. He knew immediately that she had recorded them, which caused him to get a bit flustered. “A-Are you serious? So if I call you that’s what you’re going to here now??” He finally wrapped his arms around her, returning the hug with his normal calm composure back.
“You sly bunny.. But I have to agree; I deserve those blueberries.”
The bunny nodded, giggling softly before pressing a kiss to his cheek. “That’s exactly what I am going to hear every time. Maybe I will just let it ring so I can hear those sweet words over and over again.” She teased him before tugging on his paw. “If you want the blueberries then we will have to go to my apartment, that’s where they are.” Judy was smiling brightly, glad to have those words from Nick, so much that she was hopping a little.
He probably would never say it out loud but, that giggle was adorable. “Hmm, maybe I just shouldn’t call anymore? I’ll just text ya, that could work right?” He replied, teasing right back.
“Then let’s get going Miss Hoppy.” Nick said with a grin, giving her paw a small squeeze. “You lead the way.”
Meeting the Family [Closed RP]

Why was Nick nervous? He shouldn’t be nervous. He was only meeting Judy’s parents, and who knows how many siblings? Maybe he was more nervous about how they all would react to him? Judy did have fox repellent on her when they first met, so did her family have something against foxes..? Gosh, he just didn’t want to scare them or give a bad impression.
“Are you sure it’s a good time to see them..? Are you sure they’ll be okay with a fox being in their house with tons of bunnies around?”
Judy tilted her head slightly and narrowed her eyes slightly at him. “ Yes i’m sure its a good time. They weren’t absolutely thrilled to hear you were a fox but they have no say in the matter. Just be yourself and you will be fine! They have .. sort of opened up a bit more. One of their business partners is a fox… You remember Gideon Grey? The fox I told you about from when I was a child? The one that was a big bully? “ She asked. She shook her head and gave him a smile. Her paws reached out and held onto his right forearm. “ Just be you. “ She told him offering another warm smile. Her blue eyes caught the Bunnyburrow city limits sign and she stood up as the train began to slow down and announce its guests an arrival message. ‘ Next stop, Bunnyburrow.. The doors on the left side will open. Thank you for riding the Zootopia express. ‘ The announcement spoke before a soft chime rang. Judy stood up and rushed to look out the window seeing the train station coming into view. She took ahold of Nicks and and smiled.
As the train pulled to a stop Judy’s eyes eye widened and she gripped Nick’s hand and looked up to him. “ Oh! And we’re not living together!!.. “ She said just before the doors opened. “ JUDY! “ Her family all exclaimed. All two hundred plus siblings and her Parents both waiting on the landing. “ Hello everyone!! “ She shouted back as she pulled Nick with one hand and her travel bag in the other. Once off the train she dropped both hands free and ran up to hug both of her parents. “ I missed you guys so much! .. Mom, Dad. This is Nick! “ Judy introduced. “ Nice to meet you dear. I’m Bonnie, Judy’s mother. And this is Stu, Judy’s father. We are both glad you could make it with our little girl. “ Bonnie commented and walked over hugging Nick. “ Nice to meet you Nicholas. “ Her father Stu stated reaching out for a hand shake. “ You still have that Fox repellent right hun? “ Stu asked out of the corner of his mouth toward Judy. “ Stu!! “ Bonnie corrected her husband and took Nick by the hand. “ Come on hun lets get you two back home. “ Bonnie added.
Judy looked to her father and sighed. “ Oh, sweet cheese and crackers.. Dad, really?! “ Judy stated before grabbing her bag and heading after her mother and Nick.
“ What? “ Stu asked holding his hands up in question.
He could understand them not being particularly thrilled with the fact that he was a fox, but as long as they were comfortable with having him around. “Gideon? Yeah, I remember you talking about him. So that jerk improved huh? That’s nice to hear at least.”
He looked down at her, returning the smile. Just be you. “Thanks Carrots. I’ll make sure to be on my best behavior as well. Just for you.” Nick proceeded to get up from his seat and follow the bunny to the window with an even bigger smile on his face, keeping a good grip around her hand. She was so happy that it was contagious. Who wouldn’t be happy to be home and see their family?
Not living together? What did she mean by tha- The doors had opened by now as his vision focused on the crowd of rabbits greeting them. He was surprised by how many there were, but rabbits were good at multiplying so it made sense at the same time.
Nick was pulled by Judy, but kept up with her as they made their way off the train. As she went to hug her parents, he stood there with a smile, just enjoying their reunion. Once Judy introduced him, he gave a small wave, focusing on the mother rabbit that was approaching him. “Nice to meet you two as well, Miss Bonnie.” He gently returned the hug to her, liking how friendly she was already.
Once the hug was over, his focus now shifted over to Judy’s father. “Nice to meet you sir.” Nick gave a grin, grabbing Stu’s hand, giving it a friendly shake. His ears perked up when he heard the question being asked. So Stu gave Judy the repellent? Nick guessed that Stu was still wary about foxes, and as offended as Nick was, there was no need to make a big deal out of it. He just had to ignore that comment and move on.
“Thank you Bonnie, you’re making me feel welcomed already.”
As the whole family returned back to their large home. The first thirty minutes was spent catching up with many of her brothers and sisters. Them showing her and Nick various new things just trying to obtain attention like most children would.
Judy was finally able to drag Nick and herself away from everyone else. “ I’m sorry for my dad. It isn’t really just about foxes.. I think he is just more afraid after what happened when I was younger thats all. He means well and I know he will come around, don’t worry! “ Judy reassured him. She stood on her tip toes and gave him a peck on the cheek. She then walked into the kitchen where her mother was preparing a large vegetable stew.
“ So Nick, Judy tells us that your with the department as well now and got assigned as her partner? “ Bonnie asked as she added spices to the broth.
He enjoyed watching and listening to Judy and her siblings, glad that they were all catching up. He did keep his attention on every little thing the siblings showed them. Hey, as long as they were happy.
“No need to worry about it Carrots. I can understand if he’s cautious and all. He’s just a father making sure his daughter will be alright.” He smiled from the soft kiss, giving her head a gentle pat before following her into the kitchen. The stew was smelling great, he couldn’t wait to sit down and eat a nice meal.
“That’s right! I would have never been in the department though if Judy didn’t offer me an application form. She thought that I would make a good cop and.. I guess she was right.”

“No, not at all.”
He knew that if he answered with the truth, she would try to get him to do so.

His eyes widened as he stopped for a moment due to the flick of his nose. She was teasing him.. She was challenging him. He gave a cough to clear up his throat, regaining his posture.
“I am not scared Judy. I’m not afraid to admit it. Not one bit.”
“Oh really? Not one bit? Then go ahead Nick. Shout it out to the world right now. Then I will believe you.” She told him, the smirk on her lips becoming bigger. Never mess with a sly bunny, or you might get caught in her trick. Judy took a step closer to him, before whispering to him.“Or…are you lying?”
Wait wait wait- Shout it? But then everyone would definitely hear him!
“Hold on a second- You didn’t say anything about shouting it. I have to shout it? I can’t just say it to you quietly; I can’t just say it at the volume I’m speaking at now?” He shook his head. “I am not lying, how dare you assume that Carrots.”
“Ohhhh Nick doesn’t love me then. Cause if you love someone, you wouldn’t be afraid to tell the whole world that you love them. You would shout it on the top of your lungs. But…Nick is too scared, guess it wasn’t true then.” She sighed, turning around, her ears flopping down. “Guess it was a one sided feeling then.”
She had a point honestly. Oh geez- he hated when her ears were down. It just showed that she was upset.. Now he was feeling bad. He did love his partner. Admired her even. She was just so amazing and inspiring. Even when Nick tried to push her down when they first met, she fought for what she wanted. How could he not admire someone like that?
“Aw man Carrots-” He reached out for her a bit. “Come on Judy..” Dang it, she really was serious about this wasn’t she? “I really care about you.” Eh, not the exact words she was looking for now was she? Now he was feeling scared since he took a look around them. If he did shout it, oh boy, he would get so many looks.
Come on Nick, just a few simple words to say right..?
