Why/what "my true morals" ? Well, I feel like after they defeated their emotions, the lack of fear, sorrow, etc., makes them feel like they are not being themselves. Those "negative emotions" are still a part of them-a part of what makes them who they truly are, and why decisions were made based on those emotions.
. For Calypso, obviously is their guilt for the cause of the trotter's death and the fact that they can't (at that time) feel sorrow, which makes them unable to fully empathize with her. it 1 thing that you feel something that you shouldn't/not expected to, but it's another thing that you don't feel something that you should /expected to (you get what i mean? TvT). They know what grief feels like, but now they're struggling to get/feel a grasp of it, which is really messing with their head a lot.
