Yes, let's bring in the U23 team who failed to qualify for the Olympics. Perry Kitchen, no matter his ability, does not have a position at this level. The American Phil Jones if you will, but let's throw him into our midfield.
This kind of thinking is the antithesis of Klinsmann's ideas. Those German teams played together for years before WC10. Our U23s are being punished for their failure, he's even told them they'll become lesser players because of missing out on the Olympics. But yeah, let's just throw them in.
I have been watching the sawker for 15 minutes and that obviously makes me an expert in what is wrong.
With a draw, somehow Canada has now surpassed the 19th and 28th best teams in the world, despite being around 75th.
DUMB.
as someone who finds BigSoccer as amusing as you do I immensely enjoy your blog
right on
Probably forever, considering he's the greatest American manager of all time.
What has Freddy Adu done in the last 12 months to make you believe that he is this player? He had a pretty good Gold Cup and then disappeared again forever.
Moreover, with performances like Bradley, Torres, and Dempsey last night, WHY THE FUCK WOULDN'T YOU THINK IT'S ONE OF THEM?
We've gone over how ridiculous it seems capos are in MLS support culture, so I won't touch on that. But sentiments like these are so over the top it is utterly ridiculous. Drama queen esque.
Jack Jewsbury suffered a massive headwound in the dying moments of last night's game and refused to leave the pitch until the referee demanded him to. He then attempted to come back on the pitch twice before they properly covered him up. He spilled blood for your club and your capos think they have the authority to "take the shirt off their back?"
There's about 120 years of history behind the Genoa supporters and their retarded claims to remove the shirts off their team's back a few months ago. And even with all that history, it was absolutely ridiculous. It's even more ridiculous coming from a bunch of tattooed imbeciles who heard about it on espnsoccernet and now are emulating a bunch of utter goons. Because that's what the vast majority of Italian ultras are: criminal scum. The funniest thing about it all is that I guarantee the vast majority of the Timber Army or whatever shit name they're calling themselves now would dub any American Genoa supporter a "Eurosnob." YOU'RE FUCKING DENSE AND ARE ONLY PLAYING A ROLE. Your "passion" has been picked up from youtube videos of Millwall supporters and Italians fighting the rozzers. It's fake.
But nothing frustrated me more than this line:
Beyond that it's about time a lot of people realized, FO included, we're the St. Pauli of MLS. It's different here.
No you're not. You're nothing close to St. Pauli. Just because you brew your own beer and make your own sausage in the backyard does not make you some sort of communist pirate. St. Pauli supporters are embroiled in a daily battle against sexism, racism, fascism, and homelessness. Just because you've been eating artisan cheese does not make you brothers-in-arms. They regularly fight with actual far-right organizations.
You don't.
Quit pretending.

Arsenal should sign Americans because they're cheaper than Podolski. Because Brek Shea is a Premier League level player....
But they should also sign Podolski.
Brilliant thoughts.
Fucking christ this is poor.
I hate you.

It's the Phildelphian Harry Redknapp!
Let's take a breath. MLS is well set for the future but some of this blind optimism will only result in tears.
This is one of the best posts to come from the debacle that was the U23 qualifying.
