Hello Tumblr, delighted to share with you (and simultaneously doxx myself with) the breathtaking UK and Commonwealth cover of my debut novel, Mirrorwoven, out July 2 2026 from Harper Fire! (North Americans, news coming soon š)
Art by the incredible @eliotbaum.
Mirrorwoven is a sapphic young adult fantasy in a Renaissance Venice-inspired setting, pitched as The Priory of the Orange Tree meets Gossip Girl. The blurb and further info below the cut:
North Americans! I can finally share with you that Mirrorwoven will be coming to your shores on August 25 from Feiwel & Friends, and with a slight twist on the UK cover:
So mysterious! So demure! Thank you once again to @eliotbaum for the breathtaking artwork, and the additional tweaks for the different market. (I'm so glad they kept the base illustration! And the COLOURS!)
Preorders in both the UK and US/Canada are OPEN, and I would be extraordinarily grateful, if the book appeals to you or you think it might appeal to a teenager in your life, if you would preorder a copy or request your local library to stock it or just tell a friend or three about this fun new book you heard about on tumblr. And if the book doesn't sound up your alley, I would instead ask that you do the same for whatever upcoming queer release/s - especially debuts - do pique your interest. It's no secret that in the US in particular queer books for kids and young adults are facing an increasingly hard time, and unfortunately in today's landscape of late stage capitalism the only way to ensure publishers keep putting out queer books in the face of legislative pressure and book banning is to keep them profitable. There has been a huge and accelerating increase in the number and diversity of queer titles being published over the past years, and it would be a massive shame if that were to turn around, precisely when kids need stories in which they can see themselves more than ever. So if keeping queer books on shelves is something that's important to you, please support them in whatever way works best for you. š
