Edward "Sad Eyes" Little is the right hand man of Frank Crozier, leader of the infamous Terror Syndicate that runs the London underground. Henrietta Le Vesconte is a showgirl at Terror's HQ, Erebus Gentleman's Club.

Eddie is finished with the mob life, but knows there's no way out. Henrietta exploits this knowledge to feed her own dreams of a finer, more affluent life in America.

On the right side of a career-ending fall, it’s Wimbledon and Henry is just barely eighteen. He considers himself a practical man, but in some sentimental, embarrassed part of his heart he is always eighteen and it is always Wimbledon. The sun in necessarily nostalgic for any teenage summer, but there truly is something of a moment about this moment, the green courts and white kits and all that history up for grabs. Loath as he is to live up to cliché, Henry does love grass, loves the way it plays, fast and unforgiving like a career-ending fall.

Or: in 2007, upcoming tennis sensation Henry Le Vesconte jumps for an overhead. He never quite manages to land.

Hello! I'm new here.

I've been writing in a different fandom for years and recently became obsessed with The Terror, so I decided to try my hand at this. I'm very invested in Fitzconte and Francis/Dundy, so 25K words later, here we are! This is complete, but I'm posting the first chapter today, second chapter on Monday, final chapter next Thursday. 

Keeping this anonymous for now, but might claim it on my ao3 handle if I end up writing more Terror. 

This is a prompt fill for two events (I LOVE all the events in this fandom!!)

For the @Lieutenantfest the Dundy alternate prompt Betrayal 

And for @dundybingo2026! This starts in 1998, but it ends in the 21st century, so I think it works for two squares: 

Fitzjames/Dundy—Modern Times—Love Triangle 

and 

Rarepair Francis/Dundy —Modern Times—Polyamory. 

This is a semi-modern AU about our boys if they were running AskJeeves in the thick of the dot-com boom (with my apologies to the real AskJeeves).  

As for plot, think You've Got Mail, if it was about online cruising and featured an angsty love triangle and problematic dynamics. And, a lot more smut.

Jamie leaned against the desk and smiled when he entered. She wore a victorious expression and his swagger faltered. What had she done now? What could she possibly hold over him? He’d behaved lately, knowing she watched him like a hawk for any chink in his armor.

“Have you thought more about what I asked you yesterday, my dear Dundy?” she asked, her voice dripping with fake sweetness.

He began to rub his thumb over his wedding ring. She was in one of those dangerous moods, the one where she was a barely frozen pond and Henry had to step carefully to avoid plunging through the ice.

“My answer’s the same as yesterday: Graham’s the perfect husband for me. I ain’t gonna leave him.”

The Erebus Project agents usually occupied the safe house kitchen, making it difficult for anyone else to get so much as a glass of water without interrupting the low murmur between the three men, which would fall silent the moment someone entered.

Whatever they were discussing was impossible to tell from the unreadable faces of Gore and Fairholme. Le Vesconte, meanwhile, wore his an expression of mild irritation, despite his otherwise easy-going swagger.
