“Jesus.”
It took Rogue about three seconds to realize these weren’t friendly aliens. If, you know, their donut-like spaceship landing and destroying the middle of 7th avenue. A hand covering the burning bright light of the sun, her eyes squinted as she watched the group arrive and dispense.
Suddenly she regretted having the reality stone in her hands.
Why on earth she was given the stone was beyond her. But here she stood with the little red stone in her other hand, gripping it slightly as fear hit her veins. If she were to protect the infinity stone, she needed to use her powers. Quickly, the brunette turned on her heels and looked for a superhero.
Because there’s got to be one around here somewhere, right?
Self note to kill Erik for giving me this damn thing later.
“everyone out of the building! NOW!”
clint had to get all of these civilians out of here. shoving and pushing them out of the doors seemed to be the best way, even if it was a little rough handed. but he couldn’t save them all, not yet anyway. his bow was strapped securely onto his back, his new suit unlike any he had had before. a more somber tone followed him now, as it should have been. he had lost many friends, seen too many die. he was no longer the same hawkeye as he had been, now he was darker, more precise. deadlier.
as he was heading through the streets, he saw a young woman, panicked as she should be, but holding something in her hands. he saw the ships land and ducked behind a car for cover, checking his guns and ammo before popping back up and seeing them all gone. that didn’t bode well. still, he headed over to the civilian and pulled off the hood covering his face in shadow.
“if you’re out in the open like that, it will make it easier for them to hunt you down. you need to get to safety, are you looking for someone?”
at least he could track down whatever they were looking for and be on his way trying to find out what the hell was going on.
